Following an issue with one of my pans, which was bought 18 years ago, I contacted the helpline on the advice of one of Le Creuset’s shops and was delighted with the result. Whilst the pan was bought before a lifetime guarantee was initiated I received detailed advice on how to resolve my problem which was extremely successful. Thank you for your help.

Do not waste your money - hundreds of pounds spent on a wok that lasted a few years and then started peeling apart. In good faith - knowing the brands reputation for lasting quality - I contacted the company seeking help under their product guarantee. I was simply told that despite saying their products can go in the dishwasher they believe this actually damages them. Exact quote below -

'We say that the pans are dishwasher safe but not dishwasher proof. When we say that they are dishwasher safe, it means that you can still use the pans afterwards. When we say they are not dishwasher-proof, it means that it can affect their quality and the salts and other cleaning agents used in the dishwasher can become quite harsh towards the pans, causing erosion and taking away their non-stick and smoothness of the pan which can result in food sticking.'

My own brand Dunelm pan has lasted longer.

We visited Le Crueset in Swindon Outlet for the Flint Vancouver Dinner set. There were only a few plates in stock so Carole took our contact details and telephoned a few days later to inform us of the new stock. We collected it on the 2nd March. We recommend visiting this shop as all the staff are very helpful and happy. We are delighted with our purchase, and the quality is superb. Thank you Carole for your dedication and hard work.

Poor customer service response to items damaged in transit. Had some Amazon vouchers which weren’t transferrable from Amazon UK to Amazon ES (why is this not possible??). Wanted some Le Creuset products - bought cereal bowls (not available in Spain 🤪) and two espresso mugs. Perfect! However, both packages arrived with items inside damaged. One mug was chipped/cracked. One cereal bowl was in five pieces. Packaging from Le Creuset was useless: mugs in thin bubble sleeves placed in a box with another item with one scrunched up piece of paper as packing. Bowls were in Le Creuset carton - thin cardboard with zero protection - again placed in the thinnest, least bubbliest wrap imaginable with a cursory sheet of scrunched up brown paper. No support in the Amazon box - just left loose and free to move around. So … Le Creuset totally disinterested. All sorts of excuses … don’t cover items from Spain (although these were all sent from Amazon UK) … take it up with couriers (as if they’d accept responsibility!) … get Amazon to sort it. We did get Amazon UK to give us refunds, but only after a battle because we are in Spain. Nuffin’ to do wiv us guv’ … blame Spain. Honestly! What really is the point of customer service anywhere? Constantly inventing reasons to avoid taking any responsibility themselves. Expected better from the much vaunted and ‘not exactly cheap’ Le Creuset brand. At least we did get refunds from Amazon, but Le Creuset behaved as if they couldn’t care less. Poor performance. Culpability avoidance service. Boo to Le Creuset!

(Stop Press : [20th March] Yay! Party!! 🥳 🎉 🎈 Le Creuset have now [partly] redeemed themselves! Contrary to what we believed, a replacement green cereal bowl has been delivered to our address in the UK … so, three cheers for Le Creuset! And, what’s more, it was packaged properly : smaller, bowl-sized carton plus sturdy bubble wrap bag/padding, topped off with an intimidating ‘fragile’ sticker emblazoned on the box! If only the original deliveries had been like this. Anyway, it has taken time, effort and some persuasion, but you came through eventually! Thank you for that - genuinely much appreciated. Have another star! ⭐ However, I still feel this should have been much easier to resolve - bearing in mind the bowl was delivered in five pieces! 🙂)

(One other thing : on the downside … you mysteriously refused to replace the chipped espresso mug!! Bought from Amazon UK. Identical scenario as the cereal bowl - damaged in transit because of woeful packaging - info/photos sent to customer service as requested, but no replacement. Why not? If you replace one broken item then what is your rationale for not doing the same for the other? Would love an explanation 🤷‍♀️ - so, for that reason I have removed a ⭐! Back to the original ⭐ ⭐ rating then. 🫤)

(The cereal bowls and espresso mugs are lovely though … even the chipped one! No issues with the products at all. Love them! Please love us back … ♥️)

Le creuset manufacture world class products but back up the products with excellent customer service!! . Myself and my wife have spent a lot of money over the years with Le Creuset. Recently we had a slight issue with a product, and were delighted by the communication and service we received. It is not just buying a product your buying a relationship

Le Creuset has one of the best customer services I have experienced. I thought they were very thorough investigating my issue and coming to a decision, communication was quick and informative. I originally wrote a very negative review due to the unresponsiveness of customer I had an issue with an item and contacted them 3 times; 2 via their online contact form and once via email. No response whatsoever. However when I eventually decided to try phoning it was a completely different experience. No queuing and the person I spoke to was vey helpful and my issue was resolved. If my review was based just on the phonecall it would be 5 stars but there is definitely room for improvement in the online customer service.
