Gone so down hill

I’ve been using laybyland for Christmas presents for years. I will no longer be using them. Wonder if they’ve been sold or new management has come in as I’ve never had any issue before. They seem too busy to do it properly.
Ordered a $500 coles gift card, upon activating it, says it’s cancelled. Emailed on the 7th December. Was told they would look into it and get back to me ASAP.
Still waiting for a gift card that works or my money back. Currently the 9th of January. Have emailed more than once to find out about it. Understand Christmas is a busy time and lots of public holidays etc but it’s not a small amount of money and was going to be used for the crazy holiday grocery shop.
Also ordered an iPad as a gift, iPad straight from the box will not charge, emailed about a replacement or refund and was told to take it to apple.

I've been using Laybyland for years…

I've been using Laybyland for years now. Love that you can purchase items for a length of time that suits you. I've never had an issue with them, and if I've wanted assistance they're great at following up your query promptly. I use it alot to purchase items that I can't afford offhand, I'm aware that I'm paying full RRP but for me and many others it's worth it so you can manage your budget better... especially when it comes to being on a low income. Website is a breeze to use and during checkout you can alter payments so that they fit within your budget.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing, not only did they not produce the items I ordered but when I was due to get them they had cancelled my order and not told me that I had to pay $40 in order to recieve my order, I ordered it so I would recieve it before Christmas 2023 and I’m still waiting for items to be delivered.

Scam company

Ordered through this company and only received 1 out of 3 items and requested refund after being told the other 2 items was out of stock went back on site to see that the were still advertising said table set that was out of stock for a higher price, waited the 10-14 days as I was told via email for refund to only receive 23$ out of 358$ owed to me have since emailed multiple times and sent bank details and also requested proof of refund on multiple occasions which I was told would be given by another department but never received as it's the same 2 lady's that answer emails, there doesn't seem to be another team as made out to be, just full of excuses, there out to just steal your money, don't purchase from here, how the accc has not shut these scammers down yet after reading these reviews is beyond me.

Have still had no contact from this scamming company and still no refund, even gave them an option to give me the gift voucher originally offered but seeems my email has just been ignored, have now lodged complaint with acc!

Ripped off by this company

Ripped off by this company! No communication, no items & no Christmas gifts this year due to this! No contact number to call & have sent multiple emails requesting details with no response.
Taking this matter further as out almost $2000 with no additional funds to buy more gifts to cover from these scammers!!

Ordered a gift card

Ordered a gift card, estimated delivery 8 December as digital. Nothing received till now!!!! Its really a scam, I should have read reviews prior. Have now sent 3 messages on their ‘contact us’ link, no response!!!! Finny thing is if you browse for new products you get an email ten minutes later asking you if you ‘forgot something’.
I reckon with the number of complaints on this website it calls for exposure on a current affair!!!! It’s ridiculous that they would defraud people of so much money and get away with it!!!!! Daylight robbery!!!!!!

Am I ever going to get my product

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks now for my order to be shipped and it’s strange because when I look at the product or ordered it says it’s in stock. It doesn’t make sense atleast explain to me why you haven't shipped my order instead of telling me to continue to be patient thinking of requesting a full refund because im starting to think im never going to get it.

DO NOT ORDER - Dishonest company

Dishonest company. Responds to my online review and not my emails or contact via their website.

Laybyland publicly ask me to contact them to resolve the issue, I have, numerous times via their website and email. One response early on, nothing since until the public complaint.

I have contacted the Department of Fair Trading.

How to resolve the complaint: refund the tull amount paid, this week, as Laybyland has been requested to do for the past 6-8 weeks.

UPDATE:
Today (10th November) I was contacted via email. Michelle apologised and said she would look into the inaction regarding my complaint. She has fully refunded the amount I have paid (back in my account this afternoon) and has emailed me a gift voucher to use at another store, as well.

Wish I would have read reviews prior to using this company, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!

First time using Layby Land (purchasing physical gift cards) estimate delivery 19/10/23. It is now the 10/11/23 and I have had no communication/ have no received my order.
Very disappointed and quite frankly gob smacked that this company can just take my money and not supply the goods AND not reply to emails????
I will wait until it has been 4 weeks since date I was supposed to receive the vouchers and if I have not got any communication or received them, I will lodge a complaint with the ACCC.

Gone downhill

Gone downhill . Terrible communication and service . Rude and unapologetic staff when they do finally get back to you weeks later . Been a customer for many many years and cancelled all my orders this year after a non delivery and no explanation or replies to my emails . No call number so you can’t even call them , have to wait weeks for an email reply . Staff used to be so kind . If l could give it no stars l would . What a shame after so many years of a dedicated customer.

I never received my order

I never received my order and never heard back from the company
Spent almost 2 grand and have just been ignored for 3 weeks
Please don't waste your money or time, they are thieves

My personal experience with this is not what was promised

My personal experience with this organisation is that they lie to you from start to finish. 1. You should be able to change your payment options, eg I wanted to pay my layby quicker (weekly from fortnightly) and couldn’t so I reached out to them and they said they had changed it but it stayed at fortnightly. 2. You can’t speak with them, so have to rely on cryptic emails and fluff around the edges but don’t actually achieve much. 3) throughout the entire process they clearly promise to deliver within 7-10 days but my layby was paid for 2 weeks ago and they have only just placed the order for my item with the supplier and have estimated shipping to be another week and have put the responsibility on the supplier 4) the fact that they don’t have your item in stock when you layby it is extremely precarious because you could be paying off your layby over weeks or months but then be told the item is no longer available. With better options such as afterpay or zip, I strongly advise you to not use this organisation.

I would NEVER recommend this service

I would NEVER recommend this service, to no one.

I signed up a few years ago, and had paid off
Ps5.
3 switches
And was still waiting, until a few weeks ago, I changed it to gift cards, that get emailed to me, they said no longer then two weeks, its now day 16. The only thing that EVER got sent was a blow up pool.

The response time to hear from anyone, is like trying to win the lotto.
Now they dont have a phone number, is even worse.

Please don't be sucked in.

I'm happy with the products I got from the company. I wanted to pay off gift cards for Christmas, emailing with the service team helped me get exactly what payment plan I was looking for. They have good payment options for everyone

I dont want to give u any star.. but there's no option for 0 star. Layby land is not following it's policy. I was waiting for my item delivery for more than 3 months.. But now I am still waitng for my refund. Nearly two months
