Disappointed
Hello Laundry Talk Team,
I’m writing to raise a complaint about a significant difference in scent strength between a product I purchased in person and the same “Oud” products I later ordered online.
I first bought the Laundry Talk Oud washer and softener from your pop-up store at South Melbourne Market. The scent was amazing — noticeably strong and long-lasting after washing and drying.
Because I loved it, I placed an online order for two Oud bundle sets. After a very long wait (months after I placed the order), I finally received them, but the scent is completely different. It’s much weaker and doesn’t have the same strong, pleasant fragrance. To double-check, I used the remaining amount from my original bottle and can confirm the difference is clear — the online order products are far less fragrant.
I’m extremely disappointed and feel misled by the inconsistency. Please review your quality control,

We’re sorry to hear that the Oud bundle you received didn’t feel as strong as the one you originally purchased at South Melbourne Market. We completely understand how disappointing that would be, especially after reordering because you loved it the first time.
To clarify, we do not vary fragrance concentration between pop-up and online stock, the formula is consistent across all production runs. That said, scent performance can sometimes differ depending on load size, dosage, washer type, and drying method.
If you’re able to, please email us any additional details about how you’re using the products (load size, how much you’re dosing, machine type, drying method, etc.), along with the batch details located on the base of your bottle, as this will help us better understand your experience and review it thoroughly with our product team, consistency across our scents is extremely important to us, and we take matters like this seriously.
Just to confirm on timing, your order was placed on 30 January and dispatched on 16 February. The brief delay during that period was due to a labelling issue, which we communicated at the time, as we wanted to ensure everything leaving our warehouse met our presentation standards.
Scent is at the core of what we do, and we’d genuinely value the opportunity to review this further.

I absolutely love the Oud laundry wash and softener. The scent is incredible — rich, warm, and luxurious — and it genuinely transforms the whole laundry experience. It makes clothes smell refined and long-lasting, nothing like standard supermarket products. A total game changer.
I also want to thank the team for their outstanding customer service. They were extremely understanding and helpful, and went above and beyond to accommodate a special request, with impressively fast delivery times. Great products backed by a great team, highly recommended.

Best product on the market - ultra luxe
I have genuinely have never been so impressed by a product! The quality and the fragrance are incredible, my whole house smells amazing. My partner works with heavy machinery and I’ve never been able to fully remove the smell of sweat and grease from his work clothes, no matter what I use. Your product handled it effortlessly. I also run a cleaning business, and it’s extremely rare to find a product that doesn’t leave residue on microfibre cloths and actually eliminates odours properly. This ticks every box and more. I’ve tried so many laundry products over the years and nothing has ever come close. I don’t usually send emails like this, but I felt like I had to let you know how brilliant this product is. You’ve created something truly amazing and I’m so glad I found it.

This detergent is incredible! I also love that there is a subscription service. My clothes are clean and smell incredible and the bottles are so beautiful. Hot tip - was you blankets and throw blankets/cushion covers and your whole house is going to smell devine.

Very impressive performance
I have been on the hunt for a nice smelling and performing laundry detergent. I didn't know what to expect with this product, but it's left me speechless. I honestly didn't expect my laundry to smell this good. The scent projection is truely, it fills the whole room while washing and still lingers beautifully on clothes days after. Absolutely obsessed.

One word AMAZING
One word AMAZING! I have always been on the hunt for the perfect laundry detergent and could never find it until I came across laundry talk. I ordered Saffron Noir and Oud. From the first wash I was amazed at 1. The incredible smell and 2. My clothes were so soft. I straight away went back online and ordered more because I never want to run out. Not only does it smell amazing, but it actually lasts on the clothes, and it doesn’t have those nasty chemicals in them. Also one big thing is that my husband loved the smell too. Can truly say I’m never going back to anything else. Laundry talk all the way! Also the customer service is amazing!! Great job guys on a successful product 👏🏼

Severe allergic reaction
I would like to start off by saying that the fragrance of the product is delightful, and its projection is truly impressive. Customer service is great as the bloke was super informative and friendly.
However, despite carefully following the recommended usage instructions and reviewing the product description for any fragrance allergens, I experienced a severe allergic reaction after using one of your fragranced Laundry Talk variants. Within a few hours of washing my sheets, I developed intensely itchy, red skin, and by the following morning, multiple fluid-filled blisters had appeared on my face, chest, and arms. My GP diagnosed this as acute allergic contact dermatitis, most likely triggered by one of the fragrance allergens listed in your product.
I do not have eczema or particularly sensitive skin, so it is concerning that such a reaction occurred. This suggests there may be an ingredient in your product that is not fully disclosed. I believe your responsibility to warn and protect consumers—especially those with sensitive skin or eczema—has not been fully met. I would appreciate greater transparency regarding your product testing processes and full ingredient disclosure, rather than relying on customers to discover potential issues themselves.

Amazing Fragrance
What a great product! We purchased the Rose Musk Deluxe Bundle and can't get over how nice our washed clothes now smell! Even my neighbour noticed the fragrance and asked what product we use! Easy purchase process and quick delivery. Highly Recommended!

Great smelling clothes
I was really excited to try this and was happy with the product! I bought the Oud laundry wash and it smells really nice. I will definitely buy again and am interested in trying the other fragrances. Delivery was really quick as well.

I don’t often leave reviews but I was so impressed that I had to say something. I ordered the Saffron Noir Deluxe Bundle, and all I can say is WOW! I am seriously impressed, it smells exactly like Baccarat Rouge, and my clothes now smell like it too! The scent lingers in the room, and I love that it’s a scent that both my husband and I can use. I am really happy with my order, it was delivered quickly and the customer service was impeccable! I can’t wait to order more items. Keep up the great work!

I wanted to like the scent but didn't
I wanted to like the scent but unfortunately I found it overwhelming and unpleasant. I've tried washing it out of my clothes by washing several times with non-scented washing powder and it really has staying power so it'd be great for those who like it.

Great products and customer service
Great products. Was very impressed by the Oud scent I ended up purchasing the Saffron Noir scent and I was so happy with it. I purchased a discovery set as a present for a friend for to try and I’m pretty sure they’ll be happy with it too. Customer service is also incredible. I 100% recommend.
