I would like to thank Robyn Bower for her hard work in sorting out a settlement case between myself and my ex partner.
Robyn offered great advise and despite a lot of going back and forth with my ex's team of solicitors I came away happy with the result. Cost slightly more than I had hoped however I would recommend Robyn for her quick responses and her knowledge and experience of family law.

From the very first meeting with Robyn I knew she was the perfect solicitor & person, to help me with my divorce. Ably supported by Lydia, I cannot say enough to reassure any prospective client that they are in excellent hands.

Extremely poor service they quote low and charge high mine was straight forward but they were over £10k before the finances had even really started to be sorted, they have no qualms of taking advantage of people when they are in a vulnerable state. They were doing work that the other solicitor should be doing and charging me for it

I would recommend Harpreet Sihra of the Beaconsfield office to anyone needing family law advice. She was kind and professional, and helped me with my family situation.

I was going through a very difficult and demanding divorce. Kulbir Rahi from the Ascot office dealt with this with utmost professionalism and sensitivity. If I required urgent help she would take my call or phone me straight back. I never had to wait for her to return my calls or emails.

Robyn Bowyer took on my case less than a month ago and had things moving very quickly. She or her Trainee Solicitor -Lydia Anson, have kept me regularly informed of how things are proceeding. Not only that, but Robyn is very compassionate and sensitive towards my situation. I’ve never felt that I am just another case.

I have just gone through the process of getting a divorce. I chose Stephanie Glover to help me navigate this process. She was really good, very effective, organised, kind and empathetic and kept me informed at all times. I would recommend her.

Terrible service from this company. Edward Morton was acting for my friend in a custody case. Expensive with charges and she never even got the desired result through an appalling letter sent out by Mr Morton that was ridiculed by the opposition quite rightly.
Needless to say we will not be using them again and judging by reviews on here nor will alot of people.

Do not use this firm of Solicitors they will drag your case on and the service they provided is absolutely appalling. You’ve been warned do do not use this company.

Total incompetence from start to finish. Totally misled my elderly mother through her divorce showing a total lack of understanding of basic law. Over inflated hourly rates which were over 40% higher than the other party’s legal costs. Beth Pettifer totally out of her depth and at one meeting not even able to do simple multiplication and grasp simple aspects of the monies being applied for . So with about £40k in legal fees and court costs these solicitors managed to get secure my mother only £25k from the other party, when Beth Pettifer had built a case to claim for nearly £200k with no chance of getting. Also a total misunderstanding of the pension side of things and also misled my mother about lots of aspects regarding pension experts etc.
The barrister they recommended rushed my mother on the day of the final court hearing to the point of flustering her into setting for an amount she didn’t really understand!
These people should be ashamed of themselves!

This is without prejudice. My opinion of Kls the only thing they on time with is their billing , have failed to achieve an outcome in my divorce through neglect by one of their fee earners who fail to follow up on work she started and charged me a quarter more on the fee then I
was quoted. This was the first time I have been in this place and there guidance in the beginning was so poor ! They acknowledged this by way of a small discount then charge £1600 for two letters ? I would not recommend or trust this company again!

Just wanted to thank KJ Smith for being superb practice. What attracted me to this legal firm and especially Mrs Laura Gusatu was, that she took my request seriously and replied to me in 12 hours due to the nature of my case. Bear in mind, that she spent hours explaining to me in detail and advising me how to proceed with no charges it was all free. Mrs Laura gave me legal advice related to my query. Not the least, she was empathetic, showing her respect and consideration for me as a human being which makes such a difference to know someone is genuine and unbelievably supportive.
Mrs Laura Gusatu answered all my questions promptly and fully either by email or on the phone, she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, with a very kind and understanding nature that helped no end through what was a stressful time. I would highly recommend the company KJ Smith and Laura Gusatu in particular, she made everything easier in a very human way.

Poor service from kj smith newbury, (Edward) don’t take the risk of using them for childcare, use another company. Still charged £500 though! No calls returned 3 times and lost faith in this company. Would leave minus review if I could.

Terrible service and value for money. 3 differnet solicitors took on my case, each time having to explain the situation again to each. Every single one appeared to be over worked and only available for 2 days in the week. They do not respond to anything in a timely manner and charge a fortune to make mistakes on correspondence and get details of the case wrong which then have to be corrected. This firm is a racket that is providing a poor service with the bare minimum staffing.

I used these solicitors in 2019/2020 for family law as they were my local law firm in Woodley, after 3 changes of solicitor appointed to me the 2nd one was actually working against me instead of for me and charging me £200 per email for no action taken, however I was too far into the process to face changing firms and being exhausted I had to see it through. I wouldn't use them again after my personal experience. Very unorganised and didn't feel supported in my divorce.

I came across with Mrs barrister Laura Gusatu, in her quality of associate to KJ Smith Solicitors and I was impressed by her attitude at most higher professional standards. Mrs Laura gave me a legal advice related to my query. Not on the least, she was empathetic, showing her respect for a regular customer like me, and consideration for me as a human being.
Therefore, I highly recommend this solicitor company and special I recommend Mrs barrister Laura Gusatu.
