Unauthorized billing attempt
After giving the required 30 days’ notice and receiving confirmation of cancellation, I was still prompted to authorize a debit order beyond the termination date.
This constitutes an unauthorized debit request and reflects poor internal process management. The matter has been declined, but it raises concerns about billing controls and customer handling.

This is the worst insurance in za. I paid 3700 amd more insurance for 8 yrs and it got less, by the yrs as car depreciated but not lower than 3000 even in my 8th year. As i had no insurance for some time as i was out if country and I bought an entry level new BMW abd acceited a referral from my bro. . When I was in Country long enough again. I forgot to change, but I bought another new car 8 yrs later, I got other insurance quotes via bmw for insurance and moved overto a better company by far. A broker contacted me insisting I return to king price when i was ending my insurance for older car a month later. They insisted and kept calling even reduced premiums below the new insurers premiums by R80 and they brought out trust index **** claiming they are best and my other insurer is not reliable as I have 8 yrs claim free with them, they'd pay and loyalty is reward etc.
I accepted insurance with them very stupidly as under 2 month later they increased my premiums by 500. I reached out and was gaslit till I said if im not at least paying the same as my previous insurer that I left to come to them again id go back to my previous insurer. I was not well and randomly checking emails and saw they'd terminated my insurance with them and sent a brief junk.msil like mail saying so...that was all. They had not even told me verbally and id gotten no callback as promised onnthe matter. .My car was 3 months old and now without cover and noone even called me to tell me this. I had a few days left of cover.
Luckily I got cover fast and cover was awesome cover as KP send so much junk mail abd are so disinterested ...it was even pure chance I saw that email. Im so happy with my new insurer. I even had a claim and they paid with no issues 2 months after I joined, and after claim .my premiums are still lower than what king price Increased to. As for. King Price. I was never happy with them. I was just too lazy to change. I font miss the junk mail how hard it is, to even get help . My new insurer is cheaper and so much better. I only wish id never never used King Price now as the bliss and peace of mind is awesome and I pay less. I dont have to deal with King prices unprofessionalism and unreliability praise God. Best decision they helped me make. And I never had to deal wuth their **** claim process

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Bennie at King Price for addressing my complaint so promptly and effectively. Although I initially resorted to social media to voice my concerns and after three unsuccessful attempts via messages, I realize now that I should have sought Bennie's assistance from the start. His support was invaluable, and I truly appreciate his efforts. I retract my previous complaints and will certainly recommend King Price to others.

I am a third-party claimant with King Price Insurance after one of their clients reversed into my vehicle. Despite submitting clear CCTV footage showing that their client collided with my car, my claim was still rejected, with King Price insisting that I drove into her.
This matter has been ongoing for two months with no resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend King Price Insurance to anyone.

The service provider you appointed for is a scam, he took my printer in 2024 after informing the insurance that it was not working therefore my claim was rejected. Since then, he has been promising to return it and last week he sent me a whatsapp that he will buy me a new printer at take a lot but till today, I’m still waiting, Rustenburg Home and Appliances is a scam!!!

1 Star – Unfair rejection and zero compassion (Claim CKP3030251/1)
On 23 August 2025, I parked at a restaurant with my daughter and her friend. At 20:00 I discovered my car had been stolen. My priority was the safety of the children late at night. I got them home and reported the theft to police the following morning at 11:00.
King Price rejected my claim (letter dated 08 September 2025) purely because I did not report the theft “immediately.” This is an unreasonable and heartless application of policy wording. Any parent would have done the same in my position.
Insurers are supposed to assist customers in distress, not punish them for putting their children first. I have now lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance. If you expect fairness or empathy, do not trust King Price.
ZERO Stars from me
The only reason King Price received a 1 star rating is because zero is not an option.
Their customer service is deplorable. I have never received a single piece of documentation from them yet I get debited every month even though I have not had my vehicle in over 4 months.
They answer e-mails with an automated response and never bother to actually assist. I would hate to know how their clients are treated at claim stage.

If you value your assets
If you value your assets, immediately remove your assets from King price. Start making calls to other insurances even if it means spending a little more. I cancelled my entire portfolio with Kingprice. They will flood you with unreasonable demands to intentionally fustrate the process asking you to submit proof of purchase from more than 5 years ago.

King Price insurance refused to pay for my claim due to the fact that I once claimed with discovery for dents and scratches
●The claim was for a different car which was already sold when I signed a contract with King price.
●The claim was for dents and scratches
●When the sales man spoke to me about previous accidents claims , i thought he was talking about being involved in an actual accident not scratches and dents .
●King Price was very unfair to me to reject the claim
●This was not properly explained to me by King price .
●King price compromised my privacy by advertising my car with the number plate still visible on auction without my authorisation .
●King price took my car to a bidding company without my authorisation
●When I found the vehicle the front has been stripped out and my lights removed and the lights holders broken.
●The light on the left side was not broken after the accident but when I found my vehicle all two lights were broken.
●King price must pay for my other front light which was not broken during the accident.
●My car has scratches underneath due being poorly handled by the forklift at GOBID.
●King price must at least pay for the damages in my car as promised when I took the CAR INSURANCE
●King price bridged their contract with me when they decided to advertise my vehicle on auction.
●Kingprice must pay for compromising my privacy by advertising my vehicle with my number plates visible .
They kind when you join. When you claim they are not kind.
This insurance is bull...t you wait 3 months for the car to get fixed. And the staff is ignorant and annoying pretending to care. You must be angry first to get their attention.
Fridge Caught Fire – First Ever Claim Rejected! Extremely Disappointed with King Price
On the 29th of June, our fridge caught fire due to a gas leak and electrical surge. We submitted a claim to King Price Insurance — this was our very first claim ever since joining them.
We were shocked to be told that the claim was rejected because it falls under “accidental damage,” and that only TVs and some furniture are covered under that clause.
So let me get this straight — a fridge catches fire by accident, and somehow that doesn’t qualify as accidental damage? We are being told that one of the most essential appliances in a home isn’t covered, even in a serious electrical incident?
We have a baby at home, and being without a fridge has created stress, discomfort, and frustration. We trusted King Price to be there when it mattered most — and instead, we were let down completely.
We’ve never claimed before, always paid our premiums, and the one time we need help, we are left to deal with it ourselves.
King Price, this is not what real insurance looks like. We expected better. To others: be very cautious and read every fine print — because when you really need them, they may turn their backs on you too.

I cancelled my King Price policy — CLEARLY and repeatedly told them I want no further contact. Yet they keep harassing me with calls and emails, ignoring all requests to stop.
They even attempted to initiate a DebiCheck debit mandate on my bank account without my consent or an active policy — that’s outright shady and potentially fraudulent.
This is beyond bad customer service — it’s harassment and borderline theft. I’ve lodged formal complaints with FSCA, the insurance ombudsman, PASA, and the Information Regulator.
If you want peace of mind, stay far away from King Price. They don’t respect your rights, your privacy, or your bank account. Absolutely zero trust here

I had a windscreen crack
called to put a claim through- took one week before approved.
there service provider replaced with issues- cover does not fit properly and looks untidy, apparently i need to wait 21 days before it can be replaced,
my dashboard has a GAP, to which I am still awaiting.
I have emailed KINGPRICE numerous times, to date no response.
Last week I requested a call back, spoke to guy, gave entire story, put through claims, call drops, he called back was on hold for a long time, I had asked him to call back around 1pm, eventually the guy from claims department, called did not know why he had to speak to me, (really)
I have emailed them since then again and NO response.
I am utterly disgusted by this service and has been a customer for years

I was contacted by their collections department asking "what is happening with the payment". Not sure what kind of baffoon speaks to a clients wife like that. They cannot execute a claim correctly, when my husband was in an accident. we could have been sued for the other drivers negligence, after months of back and forth hogwash excuses on their side. But figuartively got "big balls" to ask me whats happening with the money, you guys hire ex loan sharks to tryand intimidate your clients lol. What a putrid unprofessional company. Worthless and rotten to the core. I guarantee they will not investigate my complaint. They just want their money or else.
