Very heavy and sturdy and easy to fit. As someone with bad arthritic hands and a careline pendant in case of emergencies, I have also locked myself out and have been stuck until help arrived. This product is easy to use with arthritic friendly buttons that light up green so easy to use in the night. This product was chosen after a telephone call with a knowledgable and helpful gentleman - thank you.

This thing is ridiculously overbuilt, but that's reassuring. It is an incredibly heavy lump. If you were to get it off its mountings, it would put up an extended fight to someone getting in to it. I've attached mine to a tree with some nice long screws, which isn't a validated/recommended way of doing things, but the design is simple and effective. It's also a major usability upgrade on the previous Supra designs, which left hirers often unable to close the unit again because they didn't know if it was secured or not. This design is a step in the right direction, it seems more apparent if it is secure or not.
Antwort von The Key Safe Company
Hi Mr Curry,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review of the Ark Tamo™ Maximum Security Key Safe. We're thrilled to hear that you’re finding the product reassuringly secure and that it has been a positive upgrade over previous designs.
We absolutely agree that the Ark Tamo™ is built with strength and durability in mind, and it’s great to know that its robust design has given you peace of mind. While we recommend securing the unit according to the guidelines provided to keep it's Secure By Design accreditation, we appreciate your creative solution with the tree mounting.
It’s also fantastic to hear that the improvements in usability have made a noticeable difference. We’ve worked hard to ensure the new design is easier for users to confirm if the unit is properly secured, and your feedback reinforces that we’re on the right track.
If you ever have any further questions or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help!
Thanks again for your valuable feedback, and we appreciate your continued trust in our products.

My opinion is that this has been brought to market before some problematic design issues have been resolved. The response of a female staff member was that everyone at the Keysafe Company was very happy with this product, which I took to mean 'no one else is complaining' and this often means the opposite in my view.

We bought the key safe for my mum who has dementia and we wanted to be sure there is access to her flat. As she lives in a house with other apartments we needed the other residents to agree so the quality of this key safe made it easy for them to say yes. We had the key safe professionally fitted and Stewart did a grand job. I would recommend.

It’s very well made: very solid, thick, heavy. Exactly what is necessary to prevent someone trying to force it open. It does rattle when one opens it, but that’s because there is necessary play in the locking and latching mechanism. It doesn’t matter in the scheme of things. It is expensive, and I did think twice about buying it, but considering it’s there to do a job for many years, I swallowed hard and bought it. I’m pleased I did.

Robust, heavy duty keysafe with masonry screws for secure fixing without plugs. Easy to set/change code which allows repeated digits (up to 4 times for any digit) giving way more combinations than most competitor products which also seem less robust.
