International Buyer Beware!
I purchased a much desired necklace from Judith & Jules for my birthday in November 2020. It arrived promptly and well presented. Unfortunately, it was faulty and had a broken link. I contacted the company who kindly offered to repair the necklace. I sent the necklace via Royal Mail who lost the package. I had proof of postage and sought some resolve from J&J but to no avail. Their stance was that it was not their problem that the package was lost and that I was to bear the entire financial loss of £150. My research has since indicated that German law dictates that if an item bought remotely is faulty, the company should retrieve the product at their expense. J&J never offered to collect, so I posted at my expense. They were then absolved of any responsibility for transit. Had I known this company lacked any empathy at the thought of a customer paying for (literally) nothing, I would simply not have used them and supported a local UK based company instead. Please seriously consider this review when purchasing from this company as 1) the product was faulty from day 1 and 2) they are content for a customer to suffer a loss of £150 alone and see no moral issue with this or that it is really poor customer service.
