Anything that can go wrong with Joyus will go wrong
Joyus is just one of many faces of the parent business StackSocial, an "anything and everything" web store unloading discontinued, overstocked, and close-out products. DO NOT BE LURED BY THEIR LOW PRICES. Their web store platform stinks and is sloppy at best, prone to infuriating errors at worst. It took be 3 attempts to create an account, and get confirmation messages each time, before it actually stuck and I was able to log in. Even then, something will go wrong with your order. For me, even though I entered 2 addresses in my address list, the ordering process never offered me a shipping address choice so my holiday gift order got sent to MY address. Their support team (which appears to be one virtual person named JC) cannot change the shipping address, and when I asked for the order to be cancelled I got a store credit rather than a refund. I've disputed the charge through my bank. So at this point I have no idea whether the order will ship to me, or not, or be a store credit, or be a reversed charge and I'll get the money back. AVOID JOYUS.
Follow-up a day later: 7 email exchanges with 2 customer service reps ended with them telling me "It appears that this issue would be better addressed directly by the merchant." So, they brushed me off. As the company I ordered from and paid, THEY ARE THE MERCHANT.
Then I got an 8th email from a 3rd customer service rep who wanted to start the whole "How can I help?" process all over again.
Seriously, at what point will Joyus do something actually helpful like cancelling my order and refunding my payment like I asked them to do several times already?
