This is not 24/7 hours online vet

This is not 24/7 hours online vet. I tried calling at 2 am due to emergency and everywhere being closed. The app is only available for call from 7 am . The chat option box is so small and does not allow you to see what you are typing.

ManyPets repeatedly promised Joii would be superior to FirstVets. So far, I do not believe this.

ManyPets switched from FirstVets (which I love) to this platform. This is my only experience with Joii but so far... No.

As there was still a half hour on the clock for FirstVets before it switched over to Joii, I really should have just contacted them and got the answer immediately. I am still very hesitant with this platform, however. This was not a very good first impression.

Not impressed with this platform. You cannot just sign into the app and make an appointment the way you can with FirstVets.

You have to sign into Joii app, then sign into ManyPets-- which is already an extra step, but ManyPets for some reason always makes me do multiple captchas and confirmation text. If you do it via desktop, you have to go to ManyPets, log in, do the multiple captchas and confirmation text, then click through to make an appointment.

FirstVets? You just open the app and click through for an appointment. So, already not impressed.

Anyway, I got on Joii. I book a call. The call never came through, I never got a notification even though I enabled notifications. I sat here the whole time, waiting for it, with the ManyPets screen open on my desktop computer AND I had it opened on the app because this is my first call with them and I do not know where it is coming through from. There were no clear instructions saying 'please leave this website open,' or 'stand by your phone.' So already, this is unhelpful. But either way, both the website and the phone were open for the call.

But the point is, neither rang. No call came through. Went to the app to see what was going on. Didn't even get a notification that there was a "missed" call.

Had to sign on again in the app through ManyPets (and another three captchas) and dig through the interface until it said 1 missed call. No. I was sat here the whole time.

This really upsets me. I do not like getting 'no call/no shows' on things -- especially when I was there the whole time waiting for the call.

Okay, calls don't work. Sent a message in chat box to ask for help. Autobot is horrible. Eventually got a human. Vet offered to chat via video if that would be easier. I appreciated this. Clicked link, enabled the video and the microphone. Multiple times. App wouldn't recognise it as enable. Vet could not see me, and the video froze completely.

We gave up on the video, and just chatted through the chat. The vet did give me the advice I needed, but it would have taken 3 minutes on a video call instead of the chat.

In this specific case I was asking for suggestions for food change for my dog, but in other cases where my dog would need to be examined, that's a really big problem.

And now I'm VERY anxious because if I do have an urgent matter to discuss with Joii, I have no idea whether the call will come through or will show up as another missed call, or if the tech will allow me to connect with them even when everything is enabled.

If I have an urgent matter and the vet needs to look at my dog, how am I supposed to do that if the camera freezes and won't come back? How am I supposed to explain t the vet quickly how he's reacting if there's an issue with the video connect?

ManyPets keeps assuring us that Joii will have better experience and better call than the FirstVets we had before. So far? This is not the case, it is 0/1.

I'm glad this trial run was on something benign and it wasn't a serious issue that I was trying to contact them about.

Honestly I'm in half a mind to cancel all of this and just pay for FirstVets from now on because I need to trust that when I actually do need help from a video vet, they will be there and it takes less than one minute to have logged on and made the appointment.

When I finally got help through the chat, the Joii vet was okay. But even trying to talk to them was such a faff, and all I could think is that if it had been an emergency, I am not confident that I would get the help I need for my dog.

ETA response- I can confirm that Joii has indeed reached out via email in response to the email I sent them. I did not find their email really that helpful, but I appreciate that they did respond within 24 hours.

ETA 2- Their reply was basically 'try another machine, and sorry that shouldn't have happened.' No resolution offered. I sent a reply on 6 April, asking for further resolution to avoid issues in future. They have yet to reply by 9 April. In their previous correspondences, they say they aim to get back to people after 1 working day. Even ignoring the holiday, that's still more than 1 working day.

So far, all I know about them is that their platform doesn't work, they don't call when they say they do, they don't offer resolution when there's a problem and they cannot live up to their own estimations (1 working day).

They have done nothing to win my trust. And ManyPets has done more to lose it.

We were on holiday when our Italian Greyhound became unwell. We weren't sure whether we needed to visit a local vet or not. We booked a Joii face to face call and we were contacted within about 20 minutes. They vet (Claire) was lovely, professional and soon put our minds to rest as to the seriousness of him being unwell. She prescribed a couple of things that we were able to purchase at the local vets and all was well after a day or two.

Great Service!

Last night was my first time using the service. I only had my puppy 3 weeks ago and didn’t expect this service with my waggel insurance to be so good. Very helpful advice and quick response even at a late hour. I am so glad I chose waggel, I’m not sure what I would have done without this reassurance and advice. 10/10

Easily contacted

Had to contact them as my dog had a limp,spoke on line and explained and they got me an appointment with a vet via video call in less than 30 minutes. She was really helpful and comforting and gave good advice thank you.

Cannot find a thing wrong with Joii

Cannot find a thing wrong with Joii, every time I’ve used them the advice I’ve received has been second to none. Their help and advice helped me to help my dogs lose 4kgs between them, and they’re only little dogs, and they helped me fix an injury that my usual vets had charged £500 to nearly fix. I cannot praise Joii and all the vets I’ve had experience with highly enough

I get vet access through Waggel

I get vet access through Waggel. Recently, my boy Charllie developed haw syndrom.

I discussed with a vet who suggested cleaning eyes and giving Charlie probiotics. I ordered the products from their website and delivery was fine.

Unfortunately products have not helped, and my Charlie started loosing weight and not eating much. I contacted the Joii vets again, and I was recommended prescription food. I ordered 2 x boxes of Hill’s Prescription Diet the same day + worming tables.

One week later, I was still waiting for the order and there was no confirmation on my email of the order or dispatch proof. I contacted Joii customer service and Samantha got in touch. She was really helpful. She explained that I needed to provide my cats details for the worming tables, hence the order not being dispatched. This was not requested at point of ordereding. I responded to Samantha with the details and was assured my order will be dispatched. I received the worming tablets a few days later, but not the digestive food. I informed Samantha about this via email. Samantha offered a refund, but I needed the food for my boy, as I could not find this at local pet store, and asked Samantha to send me the food as ordered. This has been arranged promptly. Today I received the outstanding order, however only 1 box was sent instead of the 2 I ordered. Unfortunately, I had to ask for a refund.

Samantha’s service and response was excellent, however I am afraid Joii’s website needs improvement
1. Make it clear on the items requiring prescriptions, that details of the pet need providing before payment is taken
2. Clearly highlight nr of items ordered in the basket. For the Hill’a prescription diet, this appeared in the basket, but it was not highlighted how many boxes are being ordered. The amount however, showed that the price paid was the sum equivalent to 2 boxes in total.

It's the middle of the night

It's the middle of the night, you are all alone and your fifteen year old Yorkie is coughing so much she can't breathe. I was scared to death that she had heart failure.

The vets aren't open so at 6 am I remembered that my pet insurance covered me to speak to an online vet via video.

A vet contacted me just after 7 am. What an angel. She was softly spoken and had such a reassuring manner.

My dog has kennel cough not heart failure. She advised me what to do and sent me a plan for my dog via email straight away.

I cannot recommend this service enough. Thank you Joii xx
