The gym is kept clean & tidy… it’s the first time I’ve trained in a commercial gym for over 10 years & the tripods & video people are using the equipment for far to long.. I use the racks most sessions but only for 15 minutes or so when others are on the for over a hour….. And why do people walk around with their kit bags instead of just putting them in the lockers??? What have they got in there that’s so precious 😂😂

Great gym and helpful staff (David especially) however would benefit from a sauna to compete with other gyms in the area and to be on par with other branches... please JD, get a sauna soon!

Helpful staff, plenty of equipment, only joined on the 1st of May,so far made 2 visits and no problems.

my scanner seems to only work once a day, would be nice to be able to come and go as i please multiple times a day, also no one seems to wipe down the machines or benches after they are finished, maybe some signage to remind people may work not really to sure but some work on these two aspects would be appreciated

Decent gym with good equipment. However the assault bikes are always broken or no batteries it defo needs new assault bikes. Also might be worth getting Bike Ergs as they would be a great addition. Between the powerlifting downstairs and other users there’s not much of room in the evenings to do a workout around the CrossFit area. Scope to move it upstairs??

A very spacious gym space with lots of machines and rooms to work out in. Really love it there . ❣️

Great 24 hr access using an easy QR code. Excellent range of machines and very clean throughout the whole gym.

I’ve generally had a positive experience using the ladies-only area, but I think it could be improved by adding more dumbbells in the 1–10 kg range. Right now, there’s only one set of each weight, which often means that the dumbbells I need are already in use. Women’s fitness today emphasizes a lot of free weight lifting, and as a result, the lighter weights (around 3, 4, and 5 kg) are in high demand. Having only one set of each means that we often have to wait or adjust our workouts, which can be frustrating.

I believe it’s important to treat women’s fitness with the same level of consideration as men’s. Not all women are capable in lifting heavy, and many of us prefer to train in the ladies-only space for comfort and focus. However, we still deserve access to the equipment we need, especially when it comes to the weights that are most suitable for our workouts. More availability of lighter dumbbells would make a big difference.

Good gym, lots of machines and big free weight area, machines ive used all work, people seem nice and all seems pretty clean.
Only negative is the bike stands are tiny and I can't lock my bike to them so I have to lock it up behind the bins!

Equipment is clean

wipes and disinfectant spray available would be handy to wipe down machines after use

Poor internet, wasn’t able to gain entry do to poor signal. Not many classes or choice. Very dated in ladies gym area. Not worth the money

Really terrible WIFI. Every time so far I've been to the gym, the WIFI is either down or almost not existent. Today, I couldn't even get in as couldn't load the QR code. Love the gym but will cancel membership if this persists as realistically, I want a gym that provided Wifi.

Music alway on low, kills the atmosphere, otherwise decent gym.

Love this gym! So clean, excellent value and so much equipment and good classes. Please get us a booty builder equipment- like they have at some other JD gyms. The bar bell / strap on the ones where you add your own weight, really hurts me! Would be a life changer.

I have not been in a gym for a number of years. My daughter said come with me to my gym and thoroughly enjoyed it

I recently rejoined this gym and have been pleased with the extensive range of cardio machines — there’s always good availability, even at busy times.

However, I’ve noticed a few issues that could really use attention. Many of the heart rate monitors, especially on the stair climbers, don’t seem to work properly. More importantly, there doesn’t appear to be any regular cleaning of the equipment between uses. While users are expected to clean the machines themselves, there’s only one wipe dispenser and no disinfectant spray available, which isn’t sufficient for the size of the gym.
Overall, it’s a well-equipped facility, but hygiene and maintenance could be improved.

I’m enjoying the classes however it’s really frustrating turning up expecting to go to a class and it be cancelled with no notice - it would be great if there was a booking system and any cancelled classes were notified to those attending

Well its all new to myself. But I am finding it interesting. I am just concerned that there is no one going round the Gym cleaning the equipment time to time. But all is good so far.
