Scam of a company never known a gym like it
SCAMMY & SLY COMPANY!! First of all, i payed for my first month, gym in itself is ok nothing special. Couldn't use my QR code to get in, im a young female that works evenings so i typically go after work (12am ish) so its dark and the main door is closed so you have to scan to get inside the building. Well, my QR code didnt work so was sat trying to scan it for ages outside on my own. Had to go home. This has happened numerous times, ive had to go in with my boyfriend to actually get in at times.
Dont get me started about customer service, useful as a chocolate teapot. Scammy and sly.
I told them about my issue and that i have cancelled due to this reason. They said i should have contacted earlier.. but getting in contact is a nightmare to say the least. I said im not happy & that i have been charged again for a gym i cant use, she said you should have spoke to the staff in the gym (there are are no staff at 12am!!) and how am i supposed to ask for help if im stuck outside?!! No sympathy or help was given. No refund for the payment they had just taken out even though i cant use the gym.
What kind of gym makes you fill out a request to cancel? Seems so sly cause they dont get back to you. Are you taking the piss!
Honestly JD stick to selling clothes you cant scam people out of those.

Gym with much equipment and space
Gym with much equipment and space, suitable to different types of trainings. There are multiple areas and it is air conditioned.
Perhaps, one area of development would be the regular cleaning if weights and barbell - there's a feel that the equipment is not always cleaned after use.
Changing rooms are satisfactory. For an even better service, sinks could be improved as a bit defective. Overall, a spacious and well furnished gym, featuring various classes and open 24/7.

Great equipment but way to over subscribed so you can barley use anything you need to use because it’s to busy all the time I tried going at 10am 2pm 10pm all different times but still far to busy to use what I needed to use so I won’t be continuing my membership

Some of the equipment could use some maintenance. And the amount of people that use their phones instead of working out is awful. But that's not the gym's fault. People .... Stop using your phones!!! Get your sets in and get off the machine.

Great experience so far
Great experience so far. Only thing I’d say I didn’t like is that you hardly see anyone who actually works there. It would have been nice to have been shown around the gym my first time attending. Also, I was having trouble scanning to QR code one day and there was no one around to help.

My first visit to JD Gyms - Derby
I enjoyed my first visit to JD Derby. I was able to use the cardio equipment and free weights easily. There was also a large area where I was able to warm up before beginning my exercises. Going forward I think I'm going to enjoy being a member of this gym.

For the variety of members we have, we aim to keep the background music as generic as possible whilst having enough to keep people who aren't wearing headphones motivated during their workouts!

Decent gym
Decent gym, for the size of the place not a lot of equipment, if you want a bench then it’s heaven for you with 20+ benches but that’s about as good as it gets, extremely busy come 5/6pm in which it’s more of a waiting game for the next bit of equipment with very few alternatives to what you possibly need but for the price you pay you can’t complain as any commercial gym is the same

Best gym in local area.
Been going two weeks and really helping get back to get into the swing of it again. Decent gym. Just wish it had a machine for shrugs. Other than that it is extremely well equipped. Plenty of machines, benches and free weights. Even when it’s busy it’s easy to get round and doesn’t take much longer to do so than when it’s quiet.
