I submitted a review about discrimination and medical gaslighting from a Sheffield colorectal surgeon and the Iwantgreatcare site haven’t published it or contacted me to tell me they’re not going to publish it. I was fully aware that they might not believe me so a lot of my review was extracts from this surgeons letters and NHS rules to show what he did and what he should have done. I think if a site that has called itself I want great care can see with evidence that patients have been mistreated by a surgeon and refuses to publish their reviews, it shows they are not really interested in great care. A more apt name would be I want great reviews or I want great views.

If this site really believed in great care they would allow reviews about poor care to be published. A review can force a surgeon to provide better care and eventually great care. I’ve managed to post my reviews on Google and Trustpilot so if anyone wants to know if a surgeon is good or not these two sites provide a more honest and reliable picture. This site won't give you that information and more worryingly if a surgeon is not good or has a difficult character it'll just have good reviews about them which is misleading.

I have come across great surgeons but there are some that are not really bothered about patients and don't do the right thing, they seem like bankers to me, just money driven and If I was looking for a surgeon I would want to know who was good and who wasn’t.

This surgeon secretary told me he only operates twice a week, he has study leave as well as annual leave, they get a great salary, status, a secretary and a consent form which covers them so I think treat patients right and the problem is PALs, the hospital trust, the CQC, CCG and GMC didn’t do anything when I evidenced Mr Chapple had not been compliant with the NHS and GMC rules and the hospital's review site refused to publish my review just as the Iwantgreatcare site has refused to publish it and the problem with healthcare organisations and sites that refuse to do anything is that it allows the surgeon to carry on being emotionally abusive and that is wrong.

The only people that are helping patients are newspapers that are saying surgeons can be abusive to patients and staff, they have too much power and no system to keep it in check and there needs to be something that forces them to do the right thing so this site could have been that but it’s not. The information I posted was accurate, it is only considered defamation if it’s is false but mine wasn't and I'm fully aware of the laws on defamation, so this site is not there to help patients and show where the care is great and they're quite happy to make you think the care is great where it's actually emotionally abusive or with a difficult surgeon.

This platform is biased. Positive review undergoes no moderation but negative does . How is that okay? Also, doctors review their senior colleagues ! Come on, it doesn’t take a Genius to work out that flattering your boss is a way of protecting yourself. I am sick of the absolute smokescreen around healthcare.

Responded to questionnaire text but dead link, rang you to report but no answer. Great care? I think not.

I would like to know why you publish good and bad reviews separately? We luck up a review for a Doctor and only find good reviews then we have to dig around for the bad ones which are listed as 'do you want to report this review?' Why do you do this? Patients should be able to view bad and good reviews on one page...

I was asked by my healthcare provider to put a review on this website after my treatment was completed. The reviews I read of the person concerned bore little resemblance to my experience.

It is very unlikely that over 30 genuine reviews would give anyone NOTHING BUT 5* REVIEWS in ALL three categories.

Protecting dishonest Doctors, no impartiality, no transparency, covering the misconducts of the NHS...what a shame! Your negative feedback will be rejected straight away.... totally corrupted...

Iwantgreatcare works in this way; if you have a positive review, your feedback will be published straight away, and it is not subject to be reviewed, no rules will be applied, but if your feedback is negative, well!! Here there are some many issues, there will be a very stringent review, your feedback is likely to be rejected, and all the rules will be applied, if you check their web site in fact, it is full of positive feedbacks, but the patients that tried to publish a negative feedback were rejected and most of them are here reporting how iwantgreatcare acts dishonestly and in a corrupted way....

They don't publish negative reviews, my ex psychiatrist is widely known to be an abusive and downright horrible and dishonest man. My review only touched upon his dishonesty and unprofessional conduct, no insults. He has previously been dismissed due to his manner. Yet my experience is somehow invalid?!

I was treated by Gaural Patel at MK Hospital Breast Care Unit. Her manner and professionalism was exemplary throughout my diagnosis and treatment. She did an amazing job with my breast surgery and provided excellent advise. She was kind and considerate and helped me through a worrying time.

Seen Doctor Giles S.L Davies , very good consultant. Very passionate and caring.

THEREFORE IWANTGREATCARE HAS BECOME YET ANOTHER EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL SITE FOR PATIENTS WHO DO ACTUALLY NEED AND WANT GREAT CARE. DO NOT USE THIS SITE, IT'S BECOME EXTREMELY BIASED, & COMPLETELY ON THE SIDE OF DOCTORS.

I recently left a review about a Consultant who I had a very poor experience with and was misdiagnosed by. The review was originally published but was promptly deleted possibly when the Consultant reported this. The review was based on factual information and backed up by 3 second opinions both private and NHS. My review contained nothing that was considered prohibited in IWantGreatCares guidelines. I have since reached out to IWantGreatCare offering to share my hospital notes with them which back up my review. I have not heard back from them. The Consultant has also since had a positive review which I strongly suspect is not genuine as the language used seems like marketing. A site like this is completely useless if it doesn’t allow patients to share their genuine experiences. Previous reviews on here say the same! I would still like to resolve this issue with IWantGreatCare and would be happy to update this review in light of a solution.

I would like to say how excellent I was treated at the Spire Hospital Harpendon, my consultant was Mr J Kalairajah. He is a very polite and professional man , I went in for hip replacement, my care in the hospital was very good all the staff were very polite , I only stayed in 3 days but I could of spent a fortnight. I have since been to see Mr Kalairajah again he was very nice pleased with my progress an I see him again in 4 months. My main point is him, his team can’t fault anything.

Do not trust this site!!! I tried several times to leave a negative review for the London breast cancer surgeon who treated me, whose head of dept told me is 'a problem' and that other patients have had similar issues with him, but this lousy website allows him to curate his own reviews and even gave him an 'award'. Completely disingenuous site. Avoid at all costs.

I gave a positive review for my neurologist which was published very quickly. At the same time I left a negative review for my endocrinologist which they have failed to publish

I had a very bad experience with a neurologist, who misdiagnosed my brain tumour for a migraine, and refused to let me have an IMR for over a year.
They refused to publish my review because - hold on - it was too late! Yes it took me over 6 months to be able to speak and write again after brain surgery.
Bottomline it looks like they don't want to publish negative reviews. There must be some conflict of interest somewhere in their setup.
It's very shameful.

I have left a couple of reviews on this site. The process was quick and allowed me to help other patients in the future.

Whilst I see that others have had problems getting their reviews published, my reviews have remained on the site - even though unfortunately I left a less than stellar review about a dismissive doctor whose communication skills need improvement!

In my opinion this company is a data harvesting site under the guise of a review site, they ask very personal intrusive medical questions (irrelevant to the purpose of the site) in order to leave a review. The review is then not published. Is your personal medical data then sold on???. I left several honest reviews for a GP and each one was never published. I smell a rat here.

I was amazed that all the reviews of the surgeon I am interested in were five star. How could that be? In the ral world you do not encounter this much at all unless there is an ulterior motive. Who are the paymasters of iWant Great Care? Could they not reflect on the increased value of their product if they became truly independent-minded for the benefit of patients?

I arrived half an hour early this morning for visit one of the Modify study at OCDEM. I was greeted at the entrance and was happy to see the Covid safety processes being followed in full. Both Nicky and Karyna were excellent in getting the information they needed in a truly polite, professional manner. They put me at ease throughout the entire time I spent with them. They explained what was going to happen at each step and were able to answer all the questions I had. Brilliant team. Well done. I cant wait for the next appointment for the MRI next week.
