DISGUSTED
I am beyond frustrated at this point. I purchased a MacBook, 20th of November and till today, I have not received it. The confirmation email said 2-5 working days, and today is the 10th day. I am unable to work because I have no laptop to use, moreover, their customer service does not know anything about my order not the whereabouts of it. This is terrible and at this point, I deserve a full refund.

Got a new phone on contract with Vodacom.
Still waiting for the phone but thought I’d order a cover and screen protector so long.
Ordered on a Saturday and saw that there was an option for same day delivery. It said it would only arrive on the Monday.
Free delivery for it so thought I’d just choose same day to make sure it was as quick as possible. It said it would arrive Monday but because I’m still waiting on the new phone it wasn’t super urgent (even if it only arrived later in the week).
Made payment super easy with Apple Pay and then forgot about it.
Went on with my day and an hour later on a Saturday the package was at my house.
When I say I’m impressed I don’t think I’m doing justice. Huge kudos to the iStore team!

I booked a training session on my Mac with Matthew. This was my second session. Both tines I found Matthew patient, knowledgeable and helpful and I left with all my questions answered! A very happy customer 😊
Great service from Junaid at iStore Cavendish Square
I visited the iStore at Cavendish Square for technical support with the upgrading of my early 2015 Macbook Air iOS to Monterey. Junaid provided me with outstanding assistance. His patience, understanding and ability to translate high tech into layman's terms was commendable. He kept me updated on the progress of my software upgrade throughout, and explained to me how to reinstall my back up data, which I managed to do without a glitch.
Junaid was also helpful in offering guidance on the potential upgrade of my laptop. With a comprehensive understanding of my needs he was able to recommend suitable products, and present the features and benefits of each, based on my context. He explained that I could trade in my current laptop with a new purchase, and provided me with an estimated valuation.
I highly recommend Junaid at the iStore in Cavendish Square, for any Apple related tech support or product queries.

I bought an IPad online for same day delivery yesterday just before 10am and I didn't receive it. Got a call from someone at istore just making sure about my address at 17:14 and to my surprise I still didn't get my delivery. This morning we called Istore customer care and I was waiting to speak to an agent and for 31 minutes I had no agent. I called again and I was able to speak to Nomsa who told us that "same day delivery means you should order before 9am. If you order after 9am you will only get your delivery the next day" none of that was said online nor on the confirmation email that I received. I also received an sms saying my order is out for delivery, when I track its with the driver. When I call the courier service they only open Monday-Friday and today its Saturday. When I ask for refund, it will take 10-15 days to reflect, when I ask to go fetch it at the nearest Mall it will take 48 hours. Gosh Istore this is really ridiculous. I'll never buy from them every again. I'll stick to Incredible Connections cause this is nonsense. I better get this ipad today. I'm currently chating to Dylan online to let me know when will I receive my order! This is rubbish honest!
Online store management seems absent.
We ordered a phone online. Next day the phones are cheaper and we find out that the color we wanted in the first place is actually available in a store in the area. So, we cancel the online order.
2 online chats and 2 phone calls later, we are still busy cancelling the order. Promised email confirmations are not being sent. Looks like no one works there and you're chatting to bots.
It takes 5 minutes to order with them, and apparently it takes 14 days to cancel something and get your money back?!?! Meanwhile the order still says 'processing'.
Avoid this place, online at least!

iStore Eastgate. We were very lucky to have assistance from both LINDO and RACHEL. They were extremely patient and professional and took their time with us, helping us through a fairly high-stakes problem step-by-step. This brought my mum a huge amount of relief during a very difficult time in her life. They need a raise!

I just want to share some light and positivity. So I wanted to log an insurance claim on the 7th of January for my iPhone 15 pro max but the site was giving me problems . On the 8th when I called in a gentleman by the name of Ebrahim helped me by logging the claim on my behalf on his side side given the site issues. I received a claim number the same day (I think). But I was kept up to date about the progress of the claim throughout . He contacted me that same week just to verify a few details. Paid the required excess fee on the 18th January, then my device was ready for collection on the 23rd January. I cannot thank Ebrahim enough for the excellent service he’s shown me. I really appreciate it and hope that next time (God Forbid) my claims process is just as smooth the next time.

Had the worst experience at istore I'Langa mall Nelspruit. Bongiwe one of the staff is so rude and very cold towards customers. She made me run around for proof of res because apparently they do not accept bank statements or the one from municipality. Only when they found out I had a car they were willing to assist, after making me wait the whole day, she called me to ask me "security questions" of which I answered and she told me I had failed the test so they are declining. Bare in my mind she asked me if I was married to some person I don't even know, asked me if I had worked at some place I've never worked at and if I lived at a certain address I didn't know. All my answers were no cuz that was the truth but for some reasons she said I failed. Fine I then decided to go to mtn since I could see she just didn't want, mtn told me they would give me the phone but were struggling to process because Bongiwe blocked me...she doesn't deserve to work with people that lady she's chasing away customers
Refund
I thought iPhone supposed to be one of the well known, best in service since their devices are good, their just poor shame... I made an order for Collecting A Phone For Repair they told me my device is old to make that and worst the replied after 2 weeks while I made a full payment for that order... now I'm waiting for my Refund which I tried to claim but still the agents are pointing at each other about whose handling my case.. "Really? How would I know that particular person?" Now it's been close to a month busy trying to get my Refund please help.
Gateway Istore ridiculous and unhelpful staf
I had the most disappointing experience with the Istore at Gateway, I went to the store 3 days and absolutely no assistance. The initial sales consultant was assisting 2 customers at the same time. Lack of communication when processing my application. I was so frustrated I didn’t want to continue my purchase and then resulted in purchasing online which was more convenient and efficient. Gateway Istore staff needs to go for the full customer service training.

I loved how Gaby, the iStore contact centre agent, assisted me with a giftcard query. She made everything feel better after two previous agents were completely useless in their efforts to assist - probably quit helping at a certain time of the day. Gaby, however, stayed on the call with me for 45 minutes and dealt with my concerns patiently and with a clearly heard smile. I appreciate you Gaby.
Poor quality case
I bought an iPhone 13 Pro clear case in April 2023. In September 2023 I realised that it has torn on the side. I only had it for 5 months. I wrote an email to them. On the email it seemed like they were promising they wanted to me to send pictures, which I did. After that they are saying there is nothing they can do about it. I am very disappointed after I paid so much for the clear case.
Ignore emails
Ignore emails. Applied for Vodacom contract with iPhone 15 Pro 128GB. They sent me an email stating I need to go into a store with 3 salary slips. I retired so can only show last 3 bank statements with deposits made into this account and asked if this would suffice as, if not, then just cancel the application. Despite a reminder they have never responded. Atrocious customer service - don’t even have the common courtesy to respond to a customer’s question.

Don't buy directly form the iStore, here's why:
I made a series of mistakes with regards to purchasing the magic mouse. Firstly, I regretted not taking the time to review it online before making the purchase. Secondly, I made the error of buying it from the iStore. Lastly, I made the mistake of choosing the black variant of the mouse.
Here's my advice for you:
1. Don't buy the magic mouse, watch the reviews and you will see why.
2. If you are going to buy the magic mouse, buy it from Takealot as they have a reasonable return policy. I bought the mouse and tried to return it within half a day and they wanted to charge me 20% of the purchase price for removing the plastic. Takealot will take it back no questions asked and charge Apple for it.
3. Again, if you must buy the magic mouse, rather buy the white one. Besides the colour it is exactly the same and costs a few hundred rand less.
