From a service perspective I cant fault these guys. Teo and his team have been extremely responsive and helpful every time we have reached out to them for assistance. Some aspects of the software were insufficiently scoped by ourselves, and haven't always met the business needs we'd hoped, but Teo has been instrumental in trying to help us put this right and I would highly recommend dealing with him.

By far the best Inventory Management system I've ever used. It makes tracking data & managing inventory much easier/simpler. I would highly recommend to any business that is serious about growth & is looking for better inventory management.

Excellent purchasing software
We've been using Inventory Planner for 3 years. In that time we've grown from £4m/year to >£10m/year.
We use it in a stack with Shopify Plus and Peoplevox. We raise around 25 POs per day, a mixture of demand led purchasing and forecasted purchasing.
Inventory Planner lets us easily create POs based on our sales history and future forecasts. It is easy to tailor things to have different purchasing settings for different suppliers which can be done at a high level or on an SKU basis. It is very powerful.
Every grid within IP can be customised with a huge range of columns. We use these to get a very accurate view of what we're purchasing - e.g. we can show 7/14/30/60/90/365 day sales and potential profit against every line we're looking at adding to a PO. The reporting functions are extremely comprehensive.
Our purchasing decision making is massively improved since using IP. It gives huge confidence to us. We work in a very low margin industry with massive competition.
Our account manager Chan Yi has been great.

The best in demand planning!
We have tried a lot of demand planning software and Inventory Planner is by far the best. The layout of the software is incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing you to create your perfect view. The integrations that we have used alongside our other software has been incredibly tight. Plus, the support is always great. I honestly don't know how we would stay on top of our large sku count without it.

Lavender and Zhanna have been fantastic at helping us to get set up on inventory planner. There have been confusing moments for us since our current platform is quite messy and I've been very impressed with the way they are able to take the very little knowledge we have given them about our business and find a way to help us through our questions and ensure that we get set up correctly.

We have been unable to use the tool for…
We have been unable to use the tool for item forecasting, open-to-buy, or order generation for below reasons. We reached out to the team several times with questions/issues and was referred to other members or forwarded lengthy self-training materials instead of answers to simple questions. The Team also attended the IP Product Roadmap meeting and did not see solutions to these issues.
Unable to generate accurate forecasts that take into account lifecycle and seasonality of our product. When set to last sales, which was originally recommended by the IP team, it did not account for Swim drop off in fall/winter and dramatically over forecasted sales and reorders. The other two methods have not produced better results. Forecasting at category level continues to be overridden in the system.
Unable to plan Net vs Gross sales, return rate, or discount rate
Cannot see critical metrics by week/month to create manual plans such as % to LY, build, discount rate, AUR, AIR.
No visibility to how it's generating the forecast and need for proper validation.
Unable to group or view by key attributes such as hit cut, bra top, etc. or export a list of skus and each attribute column (length, cup, size, etc.)
POs and receiving are not integrated with IP and currently our ops team is manually entering POs into multiple systems to keep it updated, which causes no real time visibility to total available inventory as we place orders.
The interface is generally inefficient and difficult to navigate. Simple updates create a lag when attempting to save changes.
This tool does not give us the information we need to run the business or make good decisions.
I have emails from their team saying these options are not available. Their team continually says they are there for us with additional training. What good does training do if the functions needed to conduct stellar business practices do not exist?
Our CEO requested multiple times to cancel our subscription, and we were repeatedly denied.

Save time and be more accurate
Inventory Planner has replaced a slow and tedious demand planning process we previously undertook using Shopify reports and spreadsheets to understand which stock we should order and when.
There is some complexity to their forecasting but the customer team is very responsive via chat and was able to explain some pretty complex analytical concepts so that we could understand how IP was coming up with its forecasts.
