Don’t waste your money, time and effort…

Ordered 3 pendant lights in November for delivery expected Mid-March 2021. Time came around and I checked in to see where the lights were, was told it would be another month before they would arrive, unfortunately this did not fit in with my build and I requested a refund for the deposit paid.
I’ve spoke with the company and several sales associates regarding the refund and I’m getting mixed responses, I’ve been told it was refunded on 29/3/21 to my original payment method. I originally paid by direct deposit, so here is where I know they are lying about the refund being processed. I hadn’t provided my bank details for the refund, so I’ve asked can you advise where the refund has been processed and no one can answer me... so basically I have no faith that the refund has even been processed. I’ve emailed and called so many times to follow up and no one can give me an answer.. please don’t waste your hard earned money, time and effort dealing with this company.

appalling company to deal with

appalling..... ordered chairs, waited for months only to then be told that i’d have to pay hundreds more for delivery.... i decided i wanted a refund instead which offered to me .... at least 10 emails later i am still waiting for my my way to be returned, it takes weeks to get an email response and i am left wondering have i done my money!! i would not recommend this company, there are so many others online who provide far better service, Frustrated and angry in Melbourne

Negative Online experience

Ordered 2 items from Interiors Online Australia. Two weeks later I asked for shipping date and was advised freight was on basis of purchasing 4 items and if I only wanted 2, I would need to pay $125 extra for freight. There was no mention of any of this on website. I was offered a refund but the company continually stalled. Order placed March 6, now March 26 and no sign of refund. Will be reporting issue to PayPal.
Having noted response from Interiors, can only suggest that if their refund process was as speedy as their response to reviews, there would undoubtedly be less negative reviews.
One hour later, PayPal emailed that full refund had been received. Thanks

Hi Lou - thanks for your comments. It was only brought to our attention that your order was incorrect when the logistics team were booking a carrier. The information that the chair could only be purchased as a minimum of 4 was clearly noted on the product page at the time of ordering - please see below not from the product page.

NB: This item must be purchased in a minimum of 4 chairs

We notified you on the 19/3 and your refund is currently being processed

I would highly recommend using this…

I would highly recommend using this site. I ordered a console in December which I was advised was going to arrive slightly later due to it coming from overseas and with delays in shipping due to covid that was fine. They were great with communication and got back to me in the same day. The lady I spoke to was so polite and apologetic about the slight delay (it’s not there fault with delays due to covid) but couldn’t be happier with the console that arrived yesterday.

Terrible experience with this place, firstly they falsely advertised a print which was not in there catalogue of products, upon querying this they sent me a email with the price and different sizes and told me it would be on there website the next day?
When I went to order this it was twice the price they quoted in there email, queried again and was given the run around for 3 days until they finally came back and said the quoted me the wrong product, what BS I had the email with the name of the print and price on it, if you quote someone a price especially in writing you have to stick to that, that’s just called customer service which this company knows nothing about.

Unfortunately our new assistant made a human error and misquoted you the price. We understand if you no longer wish to purchase and are happy to provide a full refund. Horrible Experience

I purchased a Bedhead from Interiors online based on the fact it stated the item was in stock with a 60-90 day delivery I was happy to wait. There website then changed stating 5 months for delivery. I was never informed of this change in delivery times. I have now emailed them twice asking for a full refund as I’m not prepared to wait 5 months for delivery and I have had zero response from this company. I will now be seeking advice with consumer affairs (this company blatantly lies on its website) The rattan bed head i ordered did finally arrive 9 months later. For a item that was in stock ?? Where was it sitting for 9 months.

This company has turned me off buying…

This company has turned me off buying anything online ever again. After checking that the item was in stock I made purchase mid Nov. Didn’t receive Xmas gift until mid Feb. Disgusted.

Good morning Liesa, I'm sorry that we needed to ask you to contribute some more money in freight for your order.
Occasionally due to the nature of the goods and our customers shipping address, the freight costs to deliver can be prohibitive. When you placed your original order you paid $109.95 in freight to Richmond, Tasmania. When our logistics department were looking to book your delivery the quotes we received were all over $300.00. We did explain this to you and asked if you could contribute an extra $100.00 for freight and that Interiors Online would contribute $100.00 so that we could supply the barstools to you. We also offered that if this was unacceptable to you, we would refund your initial payment in full. You indicated that you would be willing to pay the extra $100.00 to have the stools delivered, which I understand you have already received.

We are sorry that you feel this way but we did give you the option to cancel your order if you wished or contribute the extra freight-which was the option that you selected. Not sure what more we could have done?

Bad experience

I inadvertently entered a pre-order arrangement when making a purchase, as advice re 'pre- order information' disappeared once I went to my cart.  I presumed it must have been an artefact from earlier pre-sale offers.  When I went to 'checkout' and 'payment', there was no indication whatsoever, that my order (including shipping) was not paid in full.   Two months later, I received a text stating that that there was a 'balance' owing, which I needed to pay before dispatch of my order could be arranged, and requesting I phone interiorsonline.  When I spoke to one of the service staff, I indicated my surprise at the suggestion that I had an outstanding debit.  In response, I was told to wait for a return call within the hour.  No call came and two days later when I rang Interiors online again, I was barely able to finish my first sentence when I was asked to 'listen' to what the customer service person had to say, which I did.  I continued to cite the 'payment summary' - my only record of the transaction beyond my PayPal statement - which I had before me, and which gave NO indication that there was a balance owing.  That service person hung up on me and another called back with the same outcome.  The next call came from the owner of Interiors Online, David Paley who proceeded to tell me that I had no case and to then extol the virtues and success of Interiors Online.  During our exchange, David Paley disclosed that they had hundreds of orders on back-order and that I would not receive my order until May.  
I have never encountered such rude and arrogant behaviour.   Had they been willing to listen to what I had to say and accept that I had acted in good faith, I may have been willing to proceed with my purchase and pay the 50% balance.  However, on reflection, I believe their behaviour to have been bordering on fraudulent and am very glad I requested a refund.

We are very disappointed to read your description of events as this an accurate description of what transpired. Two staff quietly tried to explain that when you ordered the item it was noted on the product page and in the cart that this was a forward order item whereby 50% of the goods are paid with the balance owing upon goods arriving to the supplier prior to dispatch. Nothing at all was dishonest about the process and you were spoken to respectfully with an entire office listening to the conversation. We had given you the opportunity to pay the balance but you insisted that you had paid for the goods in full. You were refunded within a minute of requesting a refund.

Buyers beware read all the reviews they are true same thing happened to me I’m still waiting on my tables that were preordered in August 2020 they now are apparently arriving in April!!!

Good morning, thank you for your feedback. When you place your pre-order in August our supplier had indicated that the side tables were due to arrive back into stock with them in January, which is what we were showing on the website.

Because of Covid 19 and the follow on disruption to container ships worldwide, this products arrival has been pushed back unfortunately to April. We have only just been advised of this delay by our supplier, to which we immediately informed you of the delay. We understood your frustration but as I'm sure you can appreciate, this is an event that we have no control over.

You requested a refund of the deposit you had paid, to which actioned the refund the same day.

Don’t buy from this company

Same story as others. ordered in October, told there would be a delay. They rang and asked for final payment in December as goods had arrived. I contacted them nearly a month later to find out where products were and they told me supplier had ceased production of this product !!!!

Terrible company.

No customer service - don’t respond to queries, take months to deliver.

PayPal and the credit card companies should cease processing payments as this is really a fraudulent and deceptive company. I note that they have suspended their website- hopefully this will the end of them.

Hi MB, I'm still waiting on your order number so that I can provide you with a suitable reply. We take offence that you have even suggested that Paypal or Credit Card Companies should suspend our account-which has never been discussed by anyone. You also state that we have suspended our website, this is also untrue. This is misleading and deceptive conduct by you. We would suggest you retract your comments to avoid possible legal action.
We are one of the largest online retailers of Furniture and Accessories in Australia and our business grew by over 100% in the last year.

DISGUSTING COMPANY!

Customer Service?! .... Well apparently the Managing Director, David trains each member himself..... what a good job of that he does because they don't have any customer service! They are nothing but a rude, misleading company who say they contact everyone with updates on where their order is at if it is delayed. I did not hear from the company about how far away my bedhead was until I threatened them with Consumer Affairs. David called me and told me I had spoken to customer service on days that I didn't even contact them. Great records they keep. Then in the next breath he is questioning me as to why I never contacted them asking about my order ..... I did and you have just told me I had! Honestly he is so rude and apparently he's the Managing Director.
If you want actually get your order or know how long you are going to have to wait for your order I suggest go else where than Interiors Online

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They try and sell products that they don’t even have in stock, purchased a rug in September to be told two week later that rug won’t be here until December, even though it states online product ready to ship within 7 days. Complete fade advertising to trick people into buying items and then having to wait 3 months for them to arrive, if you have no stock then don’t advertise the item or make it a pre Order so people know when to expect item. Terrible customer service, wish I’d read these reviews before purchasing because they’re all just saying the same thing, embarrassment of a company.

Avoid!

Avoid!! Ordered and paid in full for a dining table.Called 4 times after waitng 6 weeks then was told I need to pay $140 additional shipping( I had already paid $129 shipping) The Manger David was the rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to.Holding your purchase until you pay the addtional "shipping "
This is deceptive and misleading they need to improve website and David needs to improve customer service skills.I don't trust this company one bit I will never give them another cent!

Total scam

Total scam! Total scam. Ordered in July told it would be in in Sept. They asked for the difference in mid sept telling me it was ready to ship. Paid that. Then they call me and tell me it was “damaged” and not coming. To wait till the next shipment at the end of Sept. No item. Called again, told it will arrive end of the week. Fine. Then called today and told the shipment was short and it will be another few weeks. Two different staff both telling different stories. I’ve just asked for my money back. Let’s see if they give it. NEVER buy from these people.

Terrible Terrible Terrible!! Ordered a king size bed head back on the 16th of May it is now the 10th of September and still no bed head. Poor customer service. No reassurance. Think twice before ordering you might just be stuffed around.

When you rang after placing the order over the weekend you enquired as to whether we had a change of mind policy. We advised you that due to the cost of freight and risk of damage we do not offer a returns policy as explained clearly in our Terms & Conditions. You explained that you had bought numerous pieces of furniture from various online stores and returned all of them as you did not believe they suited into your decor at home. We then suggested that it may be better for you to purchase products that you can see in the flesh to avoid this happening moving forward.
You then engaged in a very hostile language that unless we cancelled and refunded your order in full that you would be undertaking numerous actions. We do not like being sworn at by any customers particularly when we are trying to assist them.

Your money has already being refunded in full.

Think CAREFULLY before using interiors online. Read other online reviews as unfortunately I am not the only customer complaining about Interiors Online inefficiency and arrogance. Stock on website is inaccurate, so they will take your money and then inform you items are not available. Customers service is subject to customer representatives working half days so this will further delay trying to fix your order. Their response to disappointed customers after this, is defensive, disrespectful and rude. Hanging out phones and justifying their lack of system's organisation. I was also informed in an email that they don't have a change of mind policy - so you better get it right when purchasing from them. After mentioning I was going to review them online, their response was defensive and in a hostile and arrogant way I was told I would get a reply to my online review - meaning a 'ready to fight' approach. They had the audacity of breaching customer privacy laws and posted in a response to a previous review in this website all the email conversations I had with them, exposing my full name and email publicly - going against their own customer privacy policy apparently based on the privacy act (note: this was reported and trust pilot has hidden the review to protect customers privacy). So in the attempt to try to prove their argument they will get to the point of exposing your personal information as a customer.
Customers service is supposed to be an effortless experience and inspire trust and respect for the brand to enable a raving fan culture. This will never be achieved arguing back with customers and failing to amend in the fastest and most friendly way the inconvenience caused. 'Director' I can guarantee you I would have become a raving fan - acquiring a new customer is anywhere from five to 25 times more expensive than retaining an existing one. Interiors Online has indeed left a sour taste in my mouth. Attacking back practices won't take the business any further. Choose your battles and shift your focus.

The absolute worst customer service. The owner is so rude!

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The owner is one of the rudest people. Take your money elsewhere and spent it with a company that value you and have business values. I can see why it’s an online business, because you wouldn’t be buying from this place if you had to deal with these people face to face.
