My mother was already in New Zealand on a parent visitor visa, and we submitted her student visa application before her visa expired. Later, Immigration New Zealand issued a PPI letter because of some discrepancies between previous applications and the new application. We only had a few days to respond, and I was very worried that the visa could be declined. My mother was also on an interim visa at that time, so the situation was very stressful.
