What an experience so well organised and with the best guides available how they managed to get us in the best spot for the shot was exceptional the only explanation was Sid was able to read the tigers minds such an excellent trip great company highly recommended

This was my first trip with Images of Wildlife Photo Tour & Safaris, the trip to photograph Tigers in India exceeded all expectations. Sarah and Chris were absolutely outstanding—every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the guests were always their top priority. Their guidance and support made sure everyone came away with incredible images and memories to match.
The accommodation was excellent—comfortable rooms, delicious food, and wonderful company throughout. It was a truly memorable experience from start to finish, and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them or join another tour with them.

I have done about 4 tours with Sarah and Chris (will do the next one in a week). The tours are perfectly planned out and organized. Sarah always makes sure we are well informed about everything. During the tours, her and Chris are paying attention to our needs at all times. I can't recommend them enough (there is a reason I keep doing my photography tours with them).

I had the good fortune to join Sarah and Chris on their Botswana photo safari in July 2025. The trip was exceptionally well organized from beginning to end. I have travelled with professional photographers in the past and I have found they are often so preoccupied with their own work that they pay little attention to their clients. The opposite is the case with Sarah and Chris, who take very seriously their role as instructors and lavish attention upon their clients. They often make recommendations for settings as well as check to see that everyone has the right view. With Sarah and Chris, I experienced some of the best animal encounters in my life. They work with Africa-based guides who are expert in tracking animals and thus, as a result, we were able to view animals with no other jeeps in sight. If you have been on safari in Africa, you no doubt know how rare this is. One such experience led us to an intimate encounter with a lion pride that I will never forget. Another reason that I highly valued my experience with Images of Wildlife is their emphasis on avoiding disturbing the animals. I cannot recommend enough this wonderful organization.

I've had the good fortune to experience 2 safaris with Images of Wildlife Photo tours. This isn't just a company, these are passionate individuals who have become friends. They gave me the opportunity to see, view, and photograph wildlife that on my first safari in Botswana put me in tears. Their attention to detail in providing you with any assistance you need in your photography is wonderful.
My second experience to India to see and photograph the Bengal tigers was another amazing trip and did not disappoint.

I traveled with Images of Wildlife Photo Tours to Botswana and had an excellent experience from start to finish.

What stood out most was how well everything was organized. The locations were clearly chosen with photographers in mind — we had incredible access to wildlife and never felt rushed or overcrowded, which made a huge difference when trying to get the right shot.

The guides, Sarah and Chris were knowledgeable not just about the wildlife and locations, but also about photography itself. They were always available to offer practical advice and help improve both technical skills and creative approach, which I found really valuable.

I also appreciated the overall level of service. The trip felt very well thought through, and you could tell they have a lot of experience running these safaris. Everything ran smoothly, which allowed me to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.

I have booked my second trip with them to Tanzania in June 2026

If you’re looking for a wildlife-focused trip with strong photographic guidance and access to great locations, I would definitely recommend them.

This is a small company, very efficiently run by Sarah whose attention to detail ensures that everything is meticulously planned, carefully considered, and efficiently executed. Sarah's years of experience in travelling Africa have underpinned both her knowledge of animal habitat and behaviour AND what she offers to guests on her tours, and she works hard (with locally based companies) to ensure that all the practical details are covered.
My first trip was to beautiful Botswana in July 2024, and I have recently returned from a second amazing safari in Tanzania. Highly recommend!

I had the great good fortune to bump into and meet Sarah and Andy five years ago quite by chance in Northern British Columbia. After initial chats, several more encounters by the river and a review of their website, I quickly got the feeling I would enjoy spending time with them on a future African photography tour. Their knowledge, commitment to their craft and good senses of humour were immediately apparent.

It took a further two years (2023) before I was able to go to Botswana, a dream trip for me. Before I even departed, I met their colleague, Chris Hodgson on line as he was thoroughly helpful ironing out some last minute details I was obsessing over. From the moment I was greeted at Kasane's airport in Botswana, I was in good and capable hands. More importantly, the logistical flow of the trip, the mobile camp site preparations, the quality of the food served daily, the vehicles, their local guides and, perhaps most importantly, my fellow photographers and tour participants were all fantastic. Team IOW and their local field support ensured we were always in position to get great photographic results.

Two years later I was back in Africa with team IOW and this time in Tanzania/Serengeti. The bonus this time was my wife (a non-photographer) was with me. From the get-go she was made to feel every bit a part of the group, she was enthusiastic about the daily game drives, an active participant with all the other participants and shot a considerable amount of her own video. Again, the attention to detail by team IOW, their active communication between the two vehicles and time spent with all participants were exemplary. Photographers could get as little or much guidance from Chris and Sarah as they wished.

Bottom line: these photography tours are big commitments of time, money and preparation. Team IOW are maximally committed to optimizing that experience for you from start, preparation and complete experience. I'm excited to be planning the next adventure.

I have been on four photographic trips with Images of Wildlife (IOW), two in Africa and two in India and they have all been superb.

The thing that really makes IOW stand out is their total focus on their clients. I know Sarah, Andy and Chris and have been on tours with all of them and in each case they have managed very quickly to integrate the group so that by day two you feel as though you are travelling with old friends. Having said that, they get a lot of return business, so when you turn up on the next trip you often are meeting old friends!

It is also quickly apparent that IOW are genuine experts when it comes to wildlife and photography. They have always put together itineraries that maximise the time spent in the field and have guides who know where to go for the best potential sightings. Importantly, when on a sighting they know how to take a position to maximise the photo opportunity and are also able to offer as little or as much technical advice as needed. As an example of this I was on a trip in Botswana in 2025 when we came upon a pride of Lions on a kill but it was difficult to get close to the action. The situation was transformed when the guides said they thought the lions had already eaten well and would probably soon leave for a drink and with this in mind we headed off in the jeeps to the watering hole that they thought would be the most likely destination for the lions. We were the only vehicle there and we waited for quite a while. It was incredibly exciting when one by one the lions appeared from the bush and lined up shoulder to shoulder to drink and needless to say we were beautifully positioned for the photos.

I have had similar experiences with Snow Leopards, Tigers, Cheetahs and even a Sloth Bear. Quite simply they know what they are doing.

One final thing worthy of note is that all the administration and logistics are managed beautifully and to date everything for me has worked out exactly as planned. Single occupancy at reasonable rates has never been a problem and food and accommodation have always been excellent and appropriate for the trip we are on.

I have no hesitation in recommending Images of Wildlife.

We have had two very memorable safaris with "Images of Wildlife". The first was to Botswana in 2024 and more recently in February 2026 to Tanzania.
We returned from Botswana telling all our friends that it was the best holiday we had ever had, so when the opportunity came up to do another safari in Tanzania we did not hesitate.
Sarah and Chris have an incredible knowledge of both wildlife and photography which is imparted in a most congenial way. Their attention to detail ensures all members of the group are wanting for nothing.
The local guides used also have excellent knowledge of the local wildlife, have amazing tracking skills and they too are also keen photographers.
One aspect we particularly liked was that we spent time with the animals observing their behaviour over a long period of time, which helped in achieving some excellent photographic opportunities but also allowed us to witness their natural behaviour. One particular memory from Botswana was our jeep being in the midst of a group of lionesses stalking an impala. This took a good 30 to 45 minutes as they slowly got closer to the impala. The excitement and anticipation was tangible. It felt like we were in the middle of a set of a David Attenborough programme! It really was an amazing experience.
The point is that this kind of experience is due to the philosophy that Sarah and Chris have of spending time with the animals.
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending "Images of Wildlife" as an excellent company to plan a safari with, especially if you are a keen photographer.

We first travelled with Images of Wildlife three years ago when we flew to Canada to photograph Grizzly bears. Sarah and Andy made us feel welcome as soon as we met them and remained attentive and helpful throughout the tour. They were always at hand to offer advice and to ensure that their clients were in the right position to take great images. As well as excellent wildlife, accommodation and food it was fun. The resident staff/guides were extremely knowledgeable and made sure that the bears welfare took priority when we approached them in a boat.

We have since travelled to Botswana with Sarah and Chris and have just returned from the Himalayas with Bali. Both truly memorable tours. Sarah is meticulous with planning and advice given prior to the tour and always happy to reply to an email.

We would definitely recommend travelling with Images of Wildlife.

Traveling to Botswana with Images of Wildlife was epic. From the first telephone call with Sarah, I was totally put at ease. The team provided full compressive advise and guidance prior to the trip and a detailed itinerary for the tour.
Then when meeting Sarah and Chris at the accommodation, the ease from the phone was clear to see in the detail of the tour. They were extremely welcoming and so easy to travel with. They were always on hand for any hiccups (including my airline lost luggage ) or queries and were more than happy to spend time assisting with any photographery query whilst also pointing out photo ideas when in the field and explaining how you could try alternative methods to get a different photo style if wanted.
Throughout the trip, the wildlife sightings were amazing and the guides were great in positioning the vehicle so that everyone could get a shot.
After finishing the tour, all I wanted to do was go again and have left with some amazing photos, cracking memories and extra friends.
If your thinking about booking, I’d defo say do it, the team make the trip so effortless for you and extremely enjoyable.

If you are considering a photography safari then Images of Wildlife should be your choice! I have been on two tours (Botswana and India) which were both exceptional! The value for money is great and the experiences you will have out in the bush will provide lifelong memories. Sarah and Chris provided excellent photography tuition on a daily basis and always go out of their way to make sure everyone’s needs were accommodated. I cannot rate them highly enough and cannot wait to tour with them again.

I met Sarah years ago on a photographic trip in Sweden and have subsequently taken several trips with Images of Wildlife, including Botswana and India--and both trips were fantastic! The accommodations were excellent, the guiding and photographic teaching were amazing, and their ability to find the perfect photographic shots were more than I could ever wish for. Last year, my wife Julie and I embarked on a journey to Botswana with Images of Wildlife, and it truly stands out as the best trip we have ever taken. The breathtaking wildlife and stunning landscapes alone made this adventure remarkable. However, what made the experience exceptional were the people. Our hosts, Sarah and Chris, along with the dedicated staff, ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip, making us feel well cared for at every moment.

At the start of the trip, I considered myself a beginner in photography. While I might have captured some decent shots on my own, collaborating with Sarah, Chris, and the other guests significantly elevated the quality of my photos. Their guidance and support helped me achieve results beyond what I had anticipated.

One memorable safari experience involved waiting by a waterhole for lions we had spotted earlier. During this time, we discussed strategies for capturing the perfect photograph. As nature would have it, the lions approached the waterhole in an unexpected way, requiring me to quickly adjust my camera settings. I managed to capture the moment of the lions drinking, and upon reviewing the shot on my camera’s LCD screen, I realized I had succeeded. The sense of accomplishment marked a turning point, and I no longer felt like a novice.

Images of Wildlife provides an experience that is enjoyable and rewarding for participants of all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, you are sure to have a fabulous time.
