Great range of hard to get wines
We certainly aren’t short of choice when it comes to online wine merchants. It’s exploded in the last few years and many provide a good choice and service. However, when you are a more serious collector you need a broad choice of wines and various vintages and Ideal Wine Company offer this in spades! I’m into Barolo at present and their selection was fabulous and I secured a favourite single cru from a vintage I hadn’t found for a fabulous price. There is occasionally a bit of a longer delivery timeframe for these wines but that’s all up front at the start. The great thing that sets Ideal Wine Company apart is you can actually talk to someone if you need to! (try speaking to a human at some of the well known wine retailers!). This means you can have confidence if there are any issues you will be able to get them sorted out. Will definitely buy from them again.

Good advice and great selection of Italian Wines
The Ideal Wine company have a fantastic selection of Italian wines, including many that are not available in the UK via any other outlets. I wished to discuss a possible purchase of a case of wine from the Amalfi Coast (a small producer), and I was able to speak to someone immediately who was knowledgeable and gave me quality information about the wine, producer, vintage etc that was well beyond that which is available on the internet. Rather than trying to push me to buy some other wine from a major producer (a strategy that I am sure would have been more profitable for the firm), I felt the advice was very much "buy side" advice and focused on giving me the information that I requested in order to help me make a decision.
