poor customer service
Generally works well, but when I logged out of my account, even though I entered my PIN, Hyper Jar send you verification emails to get into the app again. I must have tried at least 20 times to make it work, but I was not receiving the verification emails. I contacted them through the Help Chat. They told me to clear my cache, data etc delete app and reinstall, but it did not work. Their customer service closed at 10 pm, and I was unable to access my account even the next morning, so I had to jump through hoops to buy my train ticket as I didn't have any cash. Basically, it was a lot of inconvenience that made me incredibly late for work. They wanted to transfer my funds into my bank account. I refused this as there are personal reasons I have this separate account. They said I could use my card, so I didn't lose the ability to use the card, but that was not true, as I had frozen the card at the time, which they failed to check. Basically, I was stuck without money, and they only did a workaround, which was to use an alternative email address. They blamed me for the error, as they said it was my Outlook that was not allowing their emails through. I checked all my blocked emails, etc., and put the issues through AI. Which concluded that it was their servers that were at fault, as I was able to receive other emails from Hyper jar. They would not accept that it was their servers at fault. then to add insult to injury, firstly, they didn't offer any compensation, and when pushed, they only gave me a paltry £10! Which I found belittling and unsympathetic. I am not impressed and will be looking for another alternative for my money. I don't recommend this app.

It’s clear that this caused a lot of disruption, and we’re sorry that the troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve the issue when you first contacted support. Email verification can sometimes be affected by how different email providers handle incoming messages. We’re sorry if our responses made it feel like the issue was being placed on you, that certainly isn’t the experience we want anyone to have.
We also understand your concern that the outcome of your complaint and the compensation offered left you feeling unsupported. That was never our intention, your feedback has been shared with the team as it’s really important in helping us improve how we handle situations like this.

Great accounts especially for younger…
Great accounts especially for younger children, we started with Go Henry's but the monthly fee wasn't worth it. HyperJar has meant my youngest has been able to have a card to use to spend her money just like her siblings. Customer service have been great if I've needed to contact them.

Love HyperJar for shared expenses
Love HyperJar for our shared expenses. It helps us to budget and plan. Each month my partner and I can allocate funds for groceries, pet expenses, household. We can then both spend from the same pots while out and about! Never had any issues with payments, overall great app!

Really impressed with customer service
Really impressed with customer service. Had an issue with my child’s card for potential fraud. They got it sorted on the spot through the customer chat within minutes and a new card on the way. In addition to this I’ve been using HyperJar for a while now so my son can manage his own pocket money. It’s so easy to move money into his jar and he can keep an eye on his spending. Highly recommend.

Great customer service
I have hyperjar so my two children can have the independence of having their own card but with the ease of monitoring quickly with the app. The use of having separate jars on the app is useful. Anytime I've contacted customer support, they have been pleasant and sufficient with answering my queries. I used the online chat today and Kusum helped me order a new card for one of my children, he was prompt at replying and very helpful.

Great way to give children a bit of…
Great way to give children a bit of independence you can top up their card from the app and keep track of their spending. You can also create different pots of money in the app for saving up for things.
Your child has their own version of the app so they can see when money is added and they also get a notification. I use it as a way to give my son his pocket money weekly.
Best of all it's all free
