I complained about the department of…
I complained about the department of communities mistreating people with intellectual disabilities and they ignored it, this is including people with intellectual disabilities being assaulted in their own homes. I also complained about my human rights being breached by mental health services and they again completely ignored my complaints. They're completely biased and only investigate thing's that win them popularity. The most vulnerable people in this society get ignored by this organisation.

Total rubbish.
The only good thing I can say about my experience is that they got on to my case within a few days, due to the urgency of the matter. I was amazed how quickly the process started. I previously had a case judged as high priority and it took 2-3 months to start. I had a standard priority case that took 11 months to start.
Anyway, that’s where the impressiveness ended. The case as a whole, was a sham. Including my previous experiences, I can only say that the AHRC complaints process is simply a formality. It’s not designed to resolve the case. It’s designed simply as a prerequisite for application to Federal Court. The officers couldn’t care less about your personal circumstances. They just exchange a few messages between you and the respondent, then as soon as there’s a slight whiff that things aren’t going well, they terminate the case with no explanation. You are left wondering what the heck just happened and facing a possibly expensive lawsuit. They don’t care if you can afford to go to court or if you have disabilities that make it challenging or impossible. They give up on helping you as soon as they possibly can then simply wash their hands of you and move on to the next unsuspecting victim. This mob needs to up their game and actually help people who come to them as a last resort. They should only give up after everything possible has been done to resolve the case. Not just lazily and carelessly flick you off with no regard for what happens to you afterwards.
