Total scammers I hope they choke on my money

Fake company....(humane possum/ shieldmate)Don't pay unless job is done. Don't fall into the trap.They change their names when you call and doesn’t pick up your call after amount has been paid. I have a feeling they might have even changed the name of the company as well...group of Indians...stay away from them.

SCAM ALERT – Fake Carpet Cleaning Team Took My Money and Disappeared 🚨.

This week, I was scammed by a so-called “Shieldmate carpet cleaning company.” A young Indian man came to my house on Tuesday to inspect and promised the job would be done Wednesday. On Wednesday, a young Indian woman arrived and demanded $900 upfront. I told her I could only give $200, and she agreed.

After taking the money, she said the machine was too heavy and that she’d go downstairs to get coffee and bring back her teammate. She never returned.

I called their company number—they kept stalling and saying someone would come, but after 3 hours, no one showed up. When I called again, they hung up on me. When I called using another number, they answered—until I gave them my job reference, then they hung up again.

The man who came on Tuesday is also now ignoring my calls. His number is +61 432 327 091.

Honestly, If I could, I would not even give one star. I wish I would have seen these reviews first. These people are scammers, Quoted $280 then jumped to $650.00 to add a cage in the roof for possum. CASH or EFT only. Made my son cut some fruit for the trap and sprayed some garlic spray?? outside that would supposedly rid the possums for a few months - I see no difference at all. Was told to send through my details for an invoice to be sent to me (that never came either) and to contact Sam for any issues, but to no avail. He will not call back no matter how I try to contact him. They do not care one bit and will quickly take your money and run..

Another person who wishes they had read the reviews before booking these guys. They came out, said we had rats. Put in bait stations for $300 which did not work - we had a proper QUALIFIED pest controller out who told us there is no way a rat would fit in the station they had put there and that they had put in basic domestic bait stations that wouldn’t work. We also paid $300 for a possum trap and were told by the pest controller there was no entry point for a possum to get into our roof. $600 poorer and absolutely scammed.

Called the Sydney number and it went to the "Investa Property Group" (not related to possum removal).

Called the Melbourne number and no one picked up (probably because my Caller ID was blocked).

Website shows American opossums, and I'm guessing they couldn't pick an Aussie possum in a police line up.

These people are unlicense, unqualified and don't care about the possums or the home owners. Steer clear of them.

I too wish I'd read these reviews first - lesson learned for next time. I had them come out to check if I had possums in my roof... told me it was rats and put bait up in the roof. Charged me $420 for some basic bait that could probably be purchased from Bunnings. My internal warning system was going off when I had to pay cash or direct debit and they didn't take credit card. A week later - the rats were still there so called them many, many times to get NO response at all. Knew then it was a scam.... do not use them or give them any money.

This guy showed up in our property and said that we had a whole family of possums living in our roff. He sprayed some who knows what and said he'd be back in 2-3 days and never showed up again and we WERE SCAMMED OFF $1500!! I have lodged a claim with ACCC and Service NSW but their business is still being advertised on the web so there's more and more people getting scammed everyday

We have just been scammed too. Sadly read these reviews too late. After calling the landline number we called back by other numbers.

Came for 10 minutes and put out fruit as bait and then not contactable again. Took $500 and vanished.
Gave a fake invoice under name of a company based in QLD.

Will we reporting them to ACCC and blacklisting them on social media ASAP.

Wish I’d read these reviews first… Agree it’s a total scam. Got a quote for possum removal. Guy turns up and takes payment, then tells me he can’t remove it only can sprays some “special fragrance” - probably soap and water. And he is gone in 15 seconds. After the service I try to make contact clarify the cost based on what was quoted, and after 4 attempts to make contact - no response.

Absolute scam. A guy showed up and sprayed what I now suspect to be mild detergent or something equally useless, charged me $575 and three weeks later I have been unable to obtain a receipt or speak to anyone, and the possums are still in my roof! Complete SCAM.

Please please don’t use this company.
Just terrible, they took our money but never showed when we had them booked and had stayed home from work. When we rung after that they wouldn’t give us any clear answer on when they would be coming and kept saying they would call us back but never did or just hung up on us when we rang.
It’s a scam company for sure.

We’re do I start, booked online, so far so good, get a text, see you to tomorrow, no? I booked 4 pm today, so called, ah, ok see you at 4. Appointment times cones and goes, so I call, yeah um, ok, still no show, call back, and get a manager, claims broke down on way, then calls and states computer glitch! I say don’t worry, then another call, on my way but the person you were talking to us not a manager. I smell a dysfunctional and deluded company that wants your monies or is a stupid scam. Avoid

Very Good Staff. The service was great and easy to get in contact with customer service. I highly recommend this company.
