I can honestly say this is the worst…
I can honestly say this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered 3 fishing rods. Packaging was rubbish and no surprise 1 rod tip was broken. If rods had been packed correctly this wouldn't have happened. Tried to ring them to sort out.was promised call backs.none came.after sales service is rubbish.shall never use them again.

Shocking service on faulty item
Having bought a set of alarms from them in April, they started to not work correctly. I took a video to show what the issue was. I took them back to the shop and after they were sent back apparently with no problem as a good will gesture I was given a new set. But these again had problems which I again recorded to show the problem. I have now just gone to collect these to only be told again there is no problem, yet it’s clear in the recording. After asking for a refund as these have both been faulty I was told they wouldn’t do it. This was even after speaking to the company who make them and was happy to give the shop a refund for both sets. After speaking to the company these alarms have even been returned to them, so I am now stuck with my faulty alarms I have to prove are faulty. Why trying to solve the problem the manager of this shop just walked away, very professional
Con merchants
Con merchants, avoid at all costs.returned an unused snugpak sv3 bodywarmer on the 10th of October, nearly 3 weeks later after numerous messages on Facebook, on there website and emails and phone calls still no refund, appalling customer service, and I'll never use them again. Enclosed was the invoice they sent, so they knew who had ordered the item and my address and my payment details, and still nothing!!

AVOID. THESE ARE SCAMMERS! RUDE, ABNOXIOUS CONMEN. Ordered a item, they know it wasn't delivered as I sent them proof from dpd that it was returned to them. Refused to refund and have no customer service skills at all. From research this seems to be a common incident of them not sending parcels and lying and saying the customer wasn't in. Please Google them and buy elsewhere
AVOiD THIS COMPANY
Stay well away from this company and shop elsewhere well over 2 weeks now and still waiting for missing part ov my order and take no notice ov there reply on here as it all lies yes I've emailed customer service and yes spoken on the phone and still not received missing part they got no management skills wot so ever
And I will keep writing these reviews to stop as many people as I can to avoid this company

Unprofessional and rude
Hermes couldn’t deliver the returned parcel 3 times fair enough no fault of Hull angling centre. But to get a message back saying Hermes is s**t what do you expect, is totally unprofessional and slightly ironic as hull angling centre use prepaid Hermes labels for their returns.
Follow up: had a phone call from Hull angling centre when I didn't answer they send veiled threats via amazon messaging service their words ( and spelling)
"john we will have to meet up because we dont have no item back and we will go through small claims to get the money back realy looking forward to meeting you in person regards smithers"
As you can se not very professional service from Hull Angling Centre. Avoid!

This guy think its acceptable. To say no message on amazon after nearly two months of waiting. What's your exscuses for never returning my calls or making any effort to send me item in the first place. Complete joke!!

landing net handle from Amazon
I purchased a landing net handle from this guy on Amazon.
As far as I know this item never turned up.
Upon contacting him his reply was
"You know you have it"
I went back to Amazon regarding the issue & his attitude & they contacted him, his response to them was "I've contacted my legal team"
It seems that Amazon are not that bothered by threats from this obnoxious excuse for a reliable trader & refunded me for the item.
The way that he treats customers is nothing short of despicable, & doesn't deserve to be in business.
I would strongly suggest to would be purchasers of Angling equipment to go elsewhere the guy is an absolute joke & obviously thinks that threatening people with "my legal team " is the answer,
Stay away from this company at all costs (not worth the hassle)

Why are you lying Graham?
Of course there are 2 sides to every story but their reply to my 1st review has a number of wrong and outright lying statements made (presumably by the great Graham himself, after all, he is Senior Management?) which if as he threatened me with, they record ALL conversations, I can easily prove in a court of law? Yes my husband did ask for a discount, who wouldn't on a discontinued 10+yr old range? But he only asked twice so the over exaggerated amount of times is wrong, it also states 'not fit for purpose' which of course if the item were, no amount of discount would compensate, another lie, this phrase was NEVER used by my husband as it is more aesthetically damaged then anything. Graham, why have you lied and said "he wanted £100 refund" there was NEVER a figure mentioned! Listen to your recordings again, maybe if you didn't talk over people, you would hear exactly what they were saying? He actually said, as I was 2 feet away from him, "I'm not happy paying full price as there's damage, and I've taken photos if you want to see them and I can't get a replacement" 3rd lie, Graham DID NOT offer £50 off, he was just saying about getting a courier Monday 2 pick up, NOT ONCE did he offer any monetary reduction, if he had, things would not have turned nasty the way they did! My husband would have been more than happy with £50 reduction! Another phrase used in the reply to my review, seems to indicate they would be refunding the money as soon as courier picked it up? Graham told my husband he would only be refunded once they had received it back and it was refunded to them by the manufacturers, so we could be talking a week to 10 days? on subject of couriers, notice, no apology for not ringing back, or for the 2 separate deliveries (which fortunately at home for?) No apology for the way he spoke to me either nothing - just shows you really the sort of person he is. Oh yes, they state if I need to talk to them.... and gave their 'customer services' number - guess who answered it? Gruesome Graham! I put it down😤
My husband ordered a full priced £200 Daiwa Barrow platform from this company on Tuesday, delighted that they said it could be delivered overnight for free, as a discontinued item with only 2 left in country. The wheel arrived yesterday, the courier said although 2 items had been scanned, there was only one - husband chased it up and this company said it would 'probably' arrive today, they would get back to him - they never did. Today the main platform arrived, the courier then gave another version saying it had only been scanned last night but husband was just relieved as he was off fishing for the weekend early 2mo. However, when he unpacked item, 3 of the logo discs were off and there was a dent down one side of main frame with cracked paint. Knowing he wouldn't be able to get replacement of same product, he phoned the company to see if they would be willing to offer a discount seeing as 1)there could be no replacement like for like 2)no one else would pay full price for item with such faults. He was told to contact Ebay as transaction had gone through them but when he did this, it was for account holders, and as he had checked out as guest - back to Hull(Hell)Angling. This Graham started saying about sending a courier to collect item, husband explained we would be away mon-fri and he asked about keeping the item but having some goodwill refund of full amount, this Graham wasnt having any of it, talked over my husband, not giving him chance to complete a sentence, no time to reply. Frustrated by handling of this and in pure disbelief at how he was being treated, my husband said "tell you what, I'll keep the item, you keep my £200 but I will never buy anything from you again!" and put phone down. This Graham then phoned back on house phone whereby I answered as husband was too angry and upset. Well, in all my life I've never been spoken to in such a derogatory, unprofessional and downright rude way! He would not let me finish a sentence, talked over me and threatened to "we record our calls and I'm gonna put all this on Facebook to warn people about the games he's playing" and "is he professional?" no idea what he was trying to suggest and the thing that really got my blood boiling, as a Londoner, I must have inadvertently said 'love' during convo as he said "don't call me love, there's no way I'd ever want to be with you!" Honestly I still can't believe it, so they're prepared to send out a courier to Spalding to collect, to take back a discontinued, damaged item, but wouldn't consider offering a reduced price- shame on them and I tell you now Mr Steven Thomas Ashton, CEO of Hull Angling, if this is how one of your senior management treat customers, you're heading for big trouble, especially in the face of a massive recession. I will be taking things further, Graham has chosen wrong person to upset in this way
