Worst support experience ever.
My account got hacked and even after providing UID, payment proof, old screenshots and PC specs they still rejected my recovery form. It feels like they don't even read the information you send.
Really disappointing support for such a big company.

Specifically, the "Luna" story arc has manifested a catastrophic failure in logical consistency, world-building, and character integrity, rendering the experience "trash" for anyone valuing intellectual depth.

1. The Violation of Established Laws: The "Divine Marrow" Paradox The most egregious flaw lies in the treatment of the Moon Sisters and Dottore. Within the established lore of Luna I and II, it was explicitly stated that Dottore—the second of the Fatui Harbingers—successfully extracted the "Divine Marrow" or the vital essence of these ancient deities. By the very definition of the game’s biological and magical systems, these entities should be "hollow shells," devoid of any residual power or consciousness.

However, the writers chose to bypass this fundamental law by allowing these "gutted" goddesses to share power with Columbina. From a logical standpoint, this is an insult to the player’s intelligence. It is a "System Logic Failure." If the essence is gone, the power source is non-existent. This "retcon" or retroactive adjustment of rules simply to facilitate a dramatic moment is the hallmark of lazy, incompetent writing.

2. The "Nerfing" of Antagonist Intelligence Dottore is characterized as a cold, calculating genius with the power to manipulate time. Yet, during the climax of the Luna arc, he is portrayed as inexplicably passive. Despite having the capability to utilize "Time-Stop" to neutralize threats, he merely stands as a bystander while the plot unfolds in favor of Columbina. This "Character Assassination" of a top-tier antagonist serves only to "buff" a new character for marketing purposes. When a developer sacrifices a character’s IQ to serve a forced plot, they destroy the stakes of the entire universe.

3. The "Wibu-Buffing" Tropes and the Collapse of Physical Constraints Columbina’s sudden ascension is the pinnacle of "bad writing 101." The narrative itself establishes that her physical vessel cannot withstand the lunar energy—she admits it herself. However, through a convenient, cliché "power of will" or "wibu-style" awakening, she overcomes these physical limits without any scientific or magical explanation. This "Power of Nakama" trope is a cheap solution that ignores the high-concept sci-fi and fantasy rules Teyvat was built upon.

4. The Economic Implications of Narrative Fraud Players invest time and money into this product based on the quality of its world-building. When Cognosphere advertises a complex, lore-driven world but delivers a self-contradictory script, it borders on "False Advertising." The inconsistency between character descriptions and their actual in-game narrative performance devalues the "digital goods" we purchase. This is not just a creative misstep; it is a breach of the unspoken contract between the developer and the consumer.

5. Conclusion: A Demand for Accountability The Luna update represents a "trash" script that prioritizes short-term hype over long-term narrative integrity. We, as a community, refuse to accept this "forced plot" and "buff bẩn" culture. We demand that COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. acknowledge these logical fallacies, rework the narrative contradictions, and provide compensation for the degraded quality of the user experience.

If the developer continues to treat its lore as disposable and its players as mindless consumers, the decline of the brand is inevitable. We value logic. We value consistency. We value a world that respects its own rules.

Great game creator company that don't force you to put your bank account in red to play their games even if they make it attractive to pay for characters the quality is there and the choice remain yours

Writing this for Zenless Zone Zero, after V2.0 they rigged the pull rates.
Imagine hitting hard pity every single time, for every single new character and signature weapon.

Sick and tired of this casino trash, the other gachas I play are way more F2P friendly, this game is a disgrace to even be called a gacha, it's no longer fun to play because of it.

Never going to spend any kind of money again and I will quit all of your games together with it.

Game itself was decent, just sad that it's only for dumb whales that love to waste money.

This company has the worst writers for their stories. It’s insane how poor their storytelling is; not to mention the rampant power creep in all of their games, where anything you get becomes basically useless in the next patch.

They genuinely do not give a single f**. For weeks now I've been unable to change my account's linked Email. No matter what device I used or how if I used their website or in game I can't change the email. And they've done nothing to fix it. I'VE ALSO HAD MULTIPLE OF MY ACCOUNTS BRICKED FOR NO REASON AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE FOR LITERAL MONTHS.

The personification of greed. Its like when they started up, their main goal was to be as greedy as possible. They use subtle manipulation to get you to spend money. If they were up front about it, it wouldn't be so bad, but they hide small changes to increase microtransations and give you rewards to distract you from the changes. A company who seems to be determined to replace their soul with the dedication to greed.

I had several purchases made on my account that I didn’t authorize. Xbox support investigated and issued full refunds, confirming they weren’t my fault.

However, HoYoverse has now placed my account in a negative balance and refuses to lift it — despite the proof I’ve submitted. They keep sending copy-paste responses, ignoring my requests for escalation or a manual review.
I’ve never made a purchase in Genshin before, and now I’m being asked to repay money for currency I didn’t even mean to receive, let alone spend. This has been an exhausting, unfair experience for a player who’s tried everything to resolve things the right way.

Hoyoverse customer service is the absolute worst group of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you have the slightest issue that falls outside of their prerecorded script then they will absolutely refuse to help you in any way (even if you give them a possible solution).

HI3s are a bland boy like Kirito n a glasses boy who is all hoyo male employees' ideal man, GI3 is a blond kid who look opposite of SS kid Goku, HSR n ZZZ are gay-haired boys thinking they're UI Goku. Stop whining "just use AI to make MLs who look like us!"

For more than a month, I haven’t been able to log into my Genshin account from any other device due to a “security risk” message.
I never receive verification codes, so I’m stuck — unable to play on PC, add a phone number, or manage my account.

Support keeps sending the same useless copy-paste responses, no matter how clearly I explain the problem.
I’ve asked several times for a real agent or supervisor to check my case — I’ve been completely ignored.

I honestly expected better from HoYoverse after investing so much time in this game.

Incompetent company, unable to allow me to change my mail address, even though I have access to my old address, the given phone number and all linked accounts. They suspect suspicious behaviour.

All attempts fixing these issues with the support have been declined. Purchase receipts and other info are inaccurate information to Hoyoverse. Don't invest a single dollar in this crap! Run.

The story of Honkai Star Rail is not only a bunch of shallow drivel that pretends to be deep, but also flat out immoral and offensive in many cases. F ableism, f transphobia, f torture chambers and f executions. This stuff is all in there in a non-villifying manner - if you as a player see it you know what it is, if you're the dev you know you put it in there, and if you're okay with it then you're a terrible person that needs to be cured of your way of thinking! The company that makes this is downright evil and should be boycotted or avoided at all costs!

Strangely, with so much proof of account ownership, they even limit the movement of reporters who want to return accounts that have been played for a long time

the hoyo games are fun however, they don't listen to criticisms and misrepresent many different cultures. they did this with sumeru, which is based off of the middle east and india and made all their characters pale with the slightly darker ones being dehya, candace, cyno, and a few NPC's. they are doing this yet again with Natlan, which is supposed to be based off of pre-columbian latin america and west africa. they've mispelled the names of many characters such as "ororon" which is supposed to be olorun, the yoruban deity of creation and "mavuika" which is supposed to be mahuika, the maori goddess of fire. they've white-washed all of their characters yet again and many people, including Chinese players, genshin content creators, and various voice actors that have worked in hoyoverse games have spoken out about this issue. this problem also persists in their other games such as honkai star rail. the planet peacony is supposed to be based off the Jazz era in 1920's america, which was influenced by the harlem renaissanced which was a movement of art, music, and literature started and influenced by african americans yet there are no darkskined or brown skinned characters except for the NPCs.

They simply don't listen to their customers. The company is extremely racist as well, which in the year of 2024 is kinda not it. How can someone make games, take the aesthetic parts of poc cultures and not give the poc representation at all unless it's in enemies we need to kill?? Games from way before than 2020 have more diverse cast than whatever white and beige and grey both hsr and genshin impact have going on. It's been years of feedback and the company doesn't care. Not just about that, to implement any changes we asked from the beginning took them 4 years when I saw smaller companies and indie devs doing so way faster. The storyline in games are amazing, the problematic vas and lack of diversity not so much. They could do way better than this.

In regards to the recent NATLAN TEASER, it has been brought to attention that many problems has been spiking within the character designs and title. First, a character that goes by a non existent name called “ORORON”, is meant to be corrected as “OLORUN” in the followed reference of the YORUBA DIETY . It’s also included that his representation has been very limited and disrespectful in terms of culture and study. Second, all showcases characters in the NATLAN TEASER do not follow their supposed reference figures, cultures in shape, color (including skin) and form. These characters contain; ORORON, MUALANI, KINICH, IANSAN AND THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS.

Starting with the positive, I like Hoyo games like Genshin Impact. Realistic environment, animations. effects, etc. I started playing actively when Ayaka got a rerun in 2022.

Okay, so, why am I giving this a 3-star? NPCs or playable characters, including the MC, sometimes talk like Gen-Zs in the most recent games Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Some dialogues and options include the short version of suspicious, which I'd rather not see for the rest of my life because it's not cool or funny anymore.

I know I'm complaining over something so small, but it doesn't matter anymore. No offense, but I would appreciate it if Hoyo stopped adding dialogues and options that look like it's made by a middle schooler. But, if they don't want to stop, then it's fine, but I'll still hate the company for that either way. You do you I guess.

Okay, it'll be a lot easier to understand if I add a whole list of brainrot words I rather not see in games. This is 2025, people should start understanding that these words aren't cool or funny anymore.

These new-gens are still using brainrot slangs in the limited-time racoon event. It's pretty clear that they don't care about my feedback, so down to 1-star.

Their games are great, with cool characters great story and fun gameplay. The way they earn money, is with a very predatory gacha system, however the games can still be enjoyed without paying money, if you have enough self control. All in all a good game developer with some questionable decisions sometimes
