House Of-tweed 

Incredibly rude and abrubt member off staff running Cheltenham store, snatched hat from my sister and very unhelpful.

Went to the Cheltenham shop. The lady says that she is the owner of the shop & I can’t raise complain to anyone. Please can anyone help me to find where to complain please?

This happened today. I’m still really shocked & can’t stop crying about it... the cheltenham owner she came to my face & shouted at me & asked me to leave at the end when I was gonna pay for 15 scarves. She had her assistant asked her to help to put the scarves into bags but she refuse & said she is not gonna give me any bags for them as she doesn’t have any but her assistant was gonna do it. She said it’s upto to me if I want to buy them or not. Also she said she isn’t happy for me to ask if there is discount if I buy in bulk. She is not happy for me to spend 45 mins in the shop to pick gifts for family. I am so shocked by hearing what it was coming out of her mouth. She threatened me if I don’t leave the shop then she will call the police. I said please do because I don’t believe it’s right for her to treat customers like this. The police did come up but it turns out it wasn’t her calling the police it was a kind customer trying to get help for me. Anyway unfortunately the police can’t help with anything like this. Because she said she is the owner & no one can help with this. I have no place to get help from. It was so shocking she came so close to my face to me & shouted @ me and asked me to leave right now & I can never come back to the shop. I refused to leave & asked for her boss or director & waited for Police to come to help. Can anyone please to help with this & tell me where is the right place to complain. She said she is the owner so she can do whatever she wants to do. This is just not right she can bully customers like this. .. I am really concerned if she would do this to others as well ... this is so wrong... it’s shocking... I felt she could hit me when she came so close to me when there is other customers around.

What I think I might accidentally annoyed her as one of the scarf labeled made in PRC. I was asking if they’re made in the UK as she keeps telling people they’re all made from their own manufacture. I didn’t mind tbh if they’re but since then she got so aggressive & just refused to sell them to me. She said I was being rude to ask if there will be a further discount for me as I’m buying in bulk & saying it’s rude to spend 45 mins this long to be in her shop. She asked me if I would ask for discount if I was in John Lewis. But I’m sorry Would John Lewis treat their customers like you? I’m sorry John Lewis I’m comparing you & this

Anyway, I am writing this firstly to show people what the owner is like & try to avoid this shop if you don’t want to be bullied like me. Secondly I’m trying to get help to find where I can raise my complain further. I am still shaking how she came to me & shouted at me almost hit me & asked me to leave at the last minute when I was gonna pay for the scarves. Please try to avoid this owner even if you really want to buy their made in China products because they are very cheap.

Went to the Telford branch just opened. Lovely shop . All item union jack labels. Read one of the labels inspecting items made in the UK.
lable said designed in the UK. When asking the shop assistant she said they were made in the EU.
When I read the actual label it said made in RPC. made in China.
Isn't that false representation and against the LAW.

House of Tweed have lovely items and I was particularly interested to see what I thought was a company from the UK. But after purchase I read the label more closely it says designed in Great Britain. I have not been able to find out where the scarves I purchased are made and the wording seems intentionaly elusive. Having read other reviews I looked for another tiny label which seemed to be present in only one scarf that I have. They are made in China. They intentionally mislead with the words and attachment of the UK flag.
If they are made in the UK please say so. If they are made in China please say so and give us the choice to make our own decision.

I went to visit the store, House Of Tweed, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I loved buying from this company as I enjoy the material however I have just been victim to the most disrespectful and discriminatory branch manager in the Cheltenham store. I walked in with my infant daughter and my friend as we were Christmas shopping. I tried on a mustard blouse and looked in the mirror; as I did this, the manager came storming over and told me to move out of the way so that someone else can look in the mirror. I asked if we could share the mirror and that I was ready to purchase the item I tried on. She snarled at me and told me to not ‘give her lip’ and to leave immediately and to never return again. I and my friend were absolutely gobsmacked that I was treated this way. I had done absolutely nothing wrong and merely asked to share a mirror. The manager seemed very cross that I was in the store from the beginning when I walked in and kept staring at me whilst serving other customers. I was very keen to buy a bag there and the blouse but I no longer feel welcome there. It was very clear that her complaint was not about sharing a mirror, it was because I was a young mum who held a vape in her hand walking with a friend who also was young. The manager also pointed out the fact I do not belong in a store like hers. I returned to inform the branch manager that I was writing to the company about my ordeal and as I walked in, she was expressing the matter with new customers, telling them about what had happened and that I’m a person who doesn’t belong in that type of store. I’m very familiar with the retail industry and I will also not tolerate such behaviour towards new customers; it is not their business to know of an incident and it is bullying. I have been embarrassed enough. Discrimination is unacceptable in today’s society and I will not tolerate such behaviour; especially being a store that so strongly represents British culture and British sport. Ive worked very hard to get to where I am in my life and I am in my mid twenties with a house that I own so to be judged based on appearances is extremely upsetting and to be told to never come back is utterly unfair. Never have I come across such a discriminatory company. One whom represents crufts, horse racing and hunting. One whom I have visited stores very much like this such as Joules, Apricot, John Lewis etc. Deeply upsetting and very unfair to be shouting in front of my daughter and my friend as well as to me.

I have been conned. Bought what looks to be a very nice scarf (in a polythene zip lock bag). It has been packed in a way that clearly shows a label ' House of Tweed Scotland ' and another large card Union Jack label.
Disgusted to see a miniscule label well concealed on the scarf that says polyester viscose made in PRC......shocking.

My partner bought me an expensive tartan scarf from this company believing it to be high quality wool made in the Scotland. It has a very tiny label stating it is cheap viscous/polyester crap made in CHINA. Would not recommend buying from this scam company.

Ordered two scarves online, came quickly and were lovely quality.

I was stunned at the quality of the scarf I ordered. Received 20% off for my first order, free shipping. I love that it’s made in the UK. I received a special Halloween offer email of 30% off so I have ordered 4 more for Christmas gifts as the quality is so good and the look a lot more expensive than they actually are. I will be purchasing more in future.

Superb service.
Second scarf purchased, ordered online on Wednesday, shipped on Thursday and received Friday and this is during a pandemic.
Will definitely order from House of Tweed again.

I order three scarves from this website at at just short of twenty pounds each. I had an email from house of tweed confirming my order. I was then refunded approx two thirds of the money via PayPal for reasons unknown with no explanation email. I haven’t had any scarves delivered in three weeks! I have sent messages, emails and tried to phone the number on the website and haven’t had any response. I’m not entirely satisfied this is a real company/website! AVOID!!!
