Recently returned from a fantastic trip to Namibia arranged through Kirsty Leggate at Holiday Architects. The itinerary met all of our wish list in terms of locations and activities and the accommodation choices were superb, which is a real testament to Kirsty's knowledge of and love for Namibia. The local support agents for airport transfers, insider knowledge and car hire were all great too!

I’ve just returned from Vietnam. If i could give more than 5 stars I would. These guys are a class act and redefine what excellent service feels like. From start to finish it has been a pleasurable experience and their on the ground support from EXO was incredible. I won’t use anyone else to book my next long haul holiday.

This is the second time I have booked a holiday with HA, and it won't be the last. The service from beginning to end is simply excellent, starting with the initial phone call where information gathering takes place on what you want from your holiday, through to refining the smallest details so that your trip is exactly what YOU want. This is not a package tour where one trip fits all, this is a bespoke service where the holiday is planned around what you, the customer, wants.
Special mention has to go to Catherine Williams, the Africa consultant, who was brilliant at rearranging our trip to the greater Kruger from January to June, after the floods destroyed the trip.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holiday Architects to anyone wanting a trip tailor made to them.

Friends referred us to Holiday Architects and we are so glad they did. From the start of our planning last year to our arrival home, everything was just as they said it would be....A perfect trip to Canada. I spoke to Paul on the phone and explained just what we wanted to do in Canada and he arranged just that. We wanted to visit Jasper, Banff and around the Rockies. Everything was planned in the perfect order. Paul kept in touch via e mail with any up dates and called if we needed any advice. Our trip really was our dream holiday.

We have recently returned from a two week trip to Japan, it was truly magical!
Fenton arranged the most unforgettable holiday as he has extensive knowledge and a love for Japan, so I knew that we were in good hands. Everything from the hotels, transport and tour guides were fantastic and we went to some truly memorable places. Some of the places and historic sites that we visited we wouldn't have found on our own as we went to some quieter and lesser known spots, those are the ones that I enjoyed the most.
Japan has been on my bucket list for many years and I was a little worried that it wouldn't live up to my extremely high expectations that I had built up in my head, but I was so wrong, it totally exceeded that and more and I felt emotional at times just being there!
Japan is so unique and I know that we will return and when we do it will be booked through Holiday Architects with more great advice and help from Fenton.
This is our second time that Fenton has organised a holiday for us and both times have been exceptional with great attention to detail and customer service second to none, what more can I say, but thank you for a truly memorable trip!

A 3 centre trip to explore some of Morocco : Marrakesh, The Atlas and the coast, taking in a bit of Desert on the way. The trip almost chose itself from Holiday Architects examples and Rebecca embelished it and added the overnight in the desert camp. The organisation was pretty faultless, everything was sorted as described, the local guides were all superb - everything that one could hope for. Rebecca sorted the one wrinkle (a local miscommunication) immediately and without demur so all round BRILLIANT. Only thing not perfect is that we only stayed in the stupendous desert camp for one night: should have gone for two... Food to die for and such tranquility and comfort and brilliant staff. Next time! Simply the best.

Our second trip through Holiday Architects. This time, 23 days touring Japan. Emma did a wonderful job; helping to plan our trip, listening to our ideas and giving her suggestions. We stayed in 10 different places and everything was organised for us - hotels, travel between destinations and a few excellent guided tours. Thank you so much - we will definitely book through you again.

We have just returned from a 3-week trip to Japan organised by Holiday Architects, and we had a truly magical and unforgettable experience. The holiday was everything I had hoped for, largely due to the considerable efforts of Fenton and his detailed knowledge of the country - indeed, a couple of the Japanese guides we had during the trip were very impressed by the itinerary that Fenton had worked out for us. I really can't think of anything that could have been been better, with hotels, transport and guides all fitting neatly in place. This was our second fantastic trip with Holiday Architects, and it is now almost inconceivable that we would go with anyone else for our future journeys. Grateful thanks to Fenton and all at Holiday Architects, they have my highest recommendation.

Our trip to South Africa was extremely well organised and our expectations were more than met. Catherine took time to understand our preferences and our trip reflected this. We had 19 days and visited several different areas including Victoria Falls, safari near the Kruger, Cape Town, Franschhoek and Plettenburg Bay. All transfers went smoothly, every place we stayed was superb and we had a really great trip. Well done Holiday Architects, another really well planned holiday.

From the moment we contacted them about a trip to Vietnam we knew they were knowledgeable & informative. We bespoke our trip and Erin was excellent in coming up with ideas and listening. The trip was amazing, everything we hoped . All our guides and excursions were brilliant , a real buzz. We learnt & enjoyed so much about Vietnam . I have just returned from a 12 day fly drive holiday to Oman. The 1st thing to say is that you should not be put off from visiting due to the crisis in Iran/Straight of Hormuz. Not for a moment did I feel that my safety was compromised. If Oman is your preferred destination, then my strong advice is for you to go, and enjoy yourself(s)

I had originally booked this back in January, before the crisis broke out. Emma was my point of contact, and throughout the planning process, kept me updated along the way with phone calls and detailed emails. I never felt that the crisis was over running the planning that Emma was organising on my behalf. In fact, during an email to her, I commended her for her efficiency in dealing with what was, at times, a fluid situation beyond her control and her subsequent transparent communications with me. My original routing of Edinburgh-Dubai-Muscat was changed to Edinburgh-Istanbul-Muscat, and there was some minor changes in the itinerary, that frankly made no difference to the original plan.

The itinerary was what I had requested; a fly drive with multiple stop overs. The accommodation ranged from basic but clean and functional to top end, high class hotels. In the more remote areas such as Jebel Shams and the Desert Camps, it was “glamping pod” type of sleeping and bathing arrangements. Food at these locations was served buffet style with numerous dishes. The luxurious hotels had everything you could wish for with menus to match. Very high end.

There was numerous highlights along the way. The Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa is noteworthy as it is only accessible via a drive up a 2,000 metre mountain, consisting of a ribbon smooth, winding, three lane road. At the base is a 24/7 police checkpoint to ensure that driver and vehicle are up to the task. Great fun! Superb driving conditions, and views that you are unlikely to have ever seen before, all in complete safety. Check out Google Earth to get a good visual of what this paragraph is describing.

Oman has, over the last 50 years, been modernised to the extent that every convenience known in the western world, has been fused with the culture and traditions of Oman that still prevail, and which travellers love to experience when visiting foreign countries.

I could go on. But this is to say the Architect Holidays looked after me extremely well, and as an aged solo traveller, I was cocooned with emergency phone numbers and numerous contacts that should I ever have required to use them, would have ensured my safe recovery. Highly, highly commended.

My husband and I have just returned from an outstanding three-week trip to Japan, expertly planned by Emma at Holiday Architects. From our very first conversation, Emma understood exactly what we wanted and created a journey that exceeded our expectations in every way.

We are just back from a tremendous holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam booked and organised with Holiday Architects who made it all very easy.
From our first phone call with Fenton where he discussed lots of ideas and listened to what we wanted, everything went smoothly and was extremely well organised. Communication was excellent, Fenton was always available for a phone chat and any queries or issues were handled without fuss or problem.
We had to postpone our trip for a year for medical reasons and Holiday Architects were very helpful and accommodating with rearranging everything.
The hotels booked were all great, very comfortable with excellent facilities. (There was a last minute change from the Cozy Savvy in Hoi An to the La Senta, as the pool was out of action, but handled very efficiently and no issues).
All the tour guides and drivers were great – very knowledgeable, especially on history and facts/figures – always punctual, polite, and understanding (e.g. when we chose not to do the 600 steps at one of the temples!) – as expected the drivers were quieter, but very capable and professional. (In Cambodia the cold towels each time we returned to the car were fantastic!!)
We would recommend Fenton and Holiday Architects without hesitation.

Emma from Holiday Architects planned our trip immaculately from start to finish. What really stood out was the incredible attention to detail — every train journey was carefully organised, including seat reservations and luggage arrangements, which made travelling completely stress-free.

Exceeded all expectations. A trip of a lifetime to Vietnam, touring north to south over four weeks. Holiday Architects pulled together a fab itinerary that we worked together with them to refine. Excellent luxo accommodation, very knowledgeable guides, smooth as silk.

We had a fantastic 3 weeks travelling through Peru and into Bolivia.
Louise organised a super itinerary knowing the kind of things we wanted to do from cycling, hiking, cooking and wildlife .
All went smoothly with guides, hotels and flights, enabling us to have a stress free time .
Would thoroughly recommend HA as the agents are all very knowledgeable on their specific countries , give a very personal service and are competitively priced .
We are off to Zambia with them next year and probably South America again the following year or maybe India !

Having decided on Costa Rica as our holiday destination for this year we started looking at the different itineraries on offer. We are so pleased that we found Holiday Architects and Dawn!
We visited off the beaten track locations where we saw the most amazing wildlife. The accommodation was great and all the ground services worked perfectly.
