I spoke with an HHM consultant about my taxes as a single-property landlord. I was quoted over £650 and told this was due to a “government mandatory” software requirement costing £400. After checking HMRC guidance, that didn’t apply to my income level/situation, so I decided not to proceed. Sharing as a reminder to others: verify any “mandatory” claims and thresholds yourself before agreeing to fees.
I had a very positive experience working with this firm for my tax return. Everything was explained clearly and the whole process was handled professionally and efficiently. Communication was quick and friendly, and I always felt well informed. I would definitely recommend their services.
