Been using Skip for a maybe a month now. Been pretty happy with the experience. They are very involved in supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. The grants are easy to apply to, the twice weekly grant calls are a nice distraction at the end of the day, and even better if you win! They make it easy and social to find grants to fund your business as well as education. The free trials of their paid tiers are nice too - get a better sense of all they can do.

Skip is making a huge impact in the lives of entrepreneurs during a time of so many uncertainties. The tools and resources are priceless. It's a great space to grow your business and connect with like minded people.

Although you do get an opportunity to sign up to win instant grants on the live stream, when you win, there is no "instant payout". We're a nonprofit and depend on funds to survive. It's been 3 weeks since we won and still no payout. We were getting harassed over a W-9 form. The office is either unaware of how nonprofit reporting works or they are gaslighting to avoid a payment payout. I had to explain five times that our nonprofit files a 990-N EZ form. They use Stripe as their payout partner. They promised they were paying out this week. Nothing. When I sent an inquiry, I got a "rate your experience" email instead. I'm feeling pretty upset and I'm getting nowhere fast.
Everything costs you money on their website. If you aren't careful, you will be charged for things if you don't pay attention to the free terms that seem to change each week. The website option they offer does not have the features you need, except AI, which is their main selling point, without making it clear how much the sites will cost and what features you will get. I think overall, there are some issues with SKIP and I'd tread carefully. There is access to grants outside of SKIP that are helpful. As of right now, I'm not feeling confident that SKIP is a good choice if I can't get money paid out in a reasonable period of time. I'd like to hear about other people's experiences.

DO NOT SIGNUP FOR THE ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION. They refuse to refund or cancel during a period even if you cannot use the premium services fully.

The site is misleading. A significant portion of the funding options are their own grants that are 2 lottery picks during their YouTube streaming sessions while another generous selection are loans and credit cards. There are grants, but there seemed to be just as many, if not more, sponsored offerings requiring repayment or interest.

Also, the original features included with the premium subscription (like the business plan) became an additional charge. But that’s not why in writing…

YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR LINKED EMAIL ADDRESS. And I get it, the company may be trying to prevent sign ups from single users using multiple email accounts. However, I lost access to the email I signed up with and there’s nothing they’re willing to do about it. They refused to refund me or even pro-rate me for the balance of the year subscription that is potentially going to be a waste. If I were to win a grant, and some sponsor reaches out to me via the email linked to my account, I’d have to wait for skip to email me. Inconvenient, at best. However, the website that features a newsletter component, means every sign up through the site goes to…. You guessed it, the old inaccessible email. Which means myself, and the prospects are both at a loss. And Skip wouldn’t even provide a credit towards a new account setup, even if they could not change the email from a technical perspective, they wouldn’t budge to find a solution other than… give us more money. This was disappointing. They get two stars. Only because it started so well. Until it came down to money.

David was, as always, nothing short of exceptional! He guided us through a comprehensive walkthrough of Skip’s business plans, highlighting the key elements that truly make a difference. And of course, Ray—ever the powerhouse—popped in with her usual spark, offering support right when it was needed. Together, she and David are an unstoppable duo, and their synergy is as effective as it is impressive.

This is my first negative TrustPilot review because I have never had such a negative experience. I actually do not leave negative reviews, like ever. But, I have to warn others.

First of all, at the beginning it seemed great. The AI writing makes it easier to apply to grants. I submitted multiple of them, so far so good.

But, here is where it went wrong:
- Grants within Skip are selected at random from a LARGE pool of people. And, you have to join the calls which last 60 min or so to receive the grant. It is a waste of time.
- I applied to a grant outside of Skip through Skip (where they submit on my behalf), and I have no clue what happened there. No way to track what happened, if it was submitted or not.
- Here is where it becomes a scam. They bring you in with a free trial which is fine, but then they convert you to the annual fee which is $180!!! I didn't realize until months later that I got charged. I reached out for a refund. Most places will give you the refund, no questions asked. They didn't want to because it wasn't within the first 30 days which is supposedly their policy. Instead, I asked to get refunded the remaining of the year and for them to keep the months that have passed. They said no.

So, they keep my $180 and got absolutely nothing from them other than a waste of time. What everyone else says here is true! They trick you to sign up and then keep your money.

Read through all of the positive reviews here, you notice that they all sound AI written, or talk about a one on one coaching with David (which I didn't experience, he sounds great).

No one talks about how Skip ACTUALLY helped them win a grant. Because, they do not.

As a small business, this is particularly tough to get this much money taken away, it is full on predatory.

I love SKIP! There is nothing else like it for entrepreneurs who would like to be a part of a community with empowered uplifters.

This company will steal your money! BEWARE! I had signed up for a free trial, I canceled before the trial was up yet they still charged my card $197! They refuse to give me my money back even though I have never used the site! If you are considering signing up with them , think again and RUN, RUN, RUN!

I spoke with David and he was amazing representative very professional and on point. The experience was amazing and I received so much information and resources.

Skip is tricking people to sign up their service to post a grant. Once you sign up free of cost misleading service, they won't cancel until next year and will not give you money back. $179.99 for nothing. They keep your card info and keep trying until they charge your account. Be aware, don't sign up! If this doesn't get posted I will post on Google.

What a great site for grants for your business! The site is easy to navigate and has loads of information for how to get a business plan completed, apply for grants, get a website up and running and a business plan generated. The embedded AI that's provided for questions is helpful for spelling, grammar, and improvement of structure for what you initially submit. And the 1-on-1 phone call with an advisor (extra cost) is worth every penny! My advisor, David, was super helpful with ideas, suggestions, changes, and also other ideas for helping my business grow quickly using grants. He also gave me some tips on how to get more business credit, which was totally a bonus. He also explained that the "Grant Vault" is something to do early to speed up the process of filling out grant applications. He packed a lot of VALUE into that 30 minute phone call! I highly recommend this site if you need grants!
