idk why everybody hates hegarty maths, personally i find it an amazing learning resource and find that the videos are also very helpful.
yes, sometimes you dont get an answer right because you used the wrong format (e.g 0.75 instead of 3/4)
but that shouldn't matter to you because you didn't actually get the question wrong.

not the best, also sparx is not ideal for teens like me, as there are bookwork codes needed, and they are completely pointless. hegarty is rubbish, but sparx is worse and impractical. thank you.

The website is a rip off an easy way for a homework detion just because the websiye does not know how to do maths u could be as smart as grade 9 maths and you would still hate this website the universe would be perfect without Mr collins

Honestly the worse thing to happen on this planet makes me very stressed and the videos are long and boring

hegarty maths is the most boring thing ever. mr hegarty's voice just drags on and on. in the video he doesnt actually help you to to do the question, he just does it and then expects you to understand his method. it is the most usless app and has caused me so many breakdowns because of his stupid questions

I had to write an entire tree diagram for a question which turned to be absolutely useless since a SINGLE NUMBER has been changed in the question, NOTHING ELSE! WHAT IS THIS ?

This web site is a definite boon for a lazy teacher
but it has a lot of issues,
it doesn't substitute for real teaching.
You have to put the answer in the format it expects or it marks it wrong even if its right
the help videos are not that helpful and hard to understand and often gives poor explanations
I have A level math's and I struggle with the explanations
given the above it is hard to see how it can help a teacher; who has to develop the Childs understanding
it doesn't follow web accessibility standards which doesn't help

Hegarty maths is an amazing website, all those people who complain about it should just make an effort to learn the answers to them. Sure, the site is a little buggy, and the videos don't help loads, but that doesn't mean that you have to hate on Mr. Hegarty and destroy his image and his business. Personally, I've had an amazing experience with this website, and it really helps me when I feel I need to practice something in maths. Hello Clon pegarty, I enjoyed our session last night (not maths though;) it was a nice one to one as I found it hard to do it online you know like trying to have sex with my pet lizard and this was a lot better

I swear to god this website is bad, the way the videos display them is boring, most people just mute it and go watch something else more interesting, there is no substance to the website design its just blue and white.
Also coming back to the videos, the way he displays the question do not correlate to how you would do them in school and when you press the help button it takes you to something completely irrelevant to the question you are currently doing, some quizzes have up to 20 question with stupidly difficult question near the end making it take up to an hour to complete a quiz, the only type of people it's beneficial for are the teachers making their jobs easier and the student's life's filled with stress, also add on the stupid Memri ai giving some students question such as "5x9"
and other getting "61.8% of 512.6 rounded to 2 D.P"
In general if you are a math's curriculum leader looking for online work don't bother and just set written work since this website is not good.

the videos don't correspond to the quizzes. the examples in the video that Mr Hegarty would use wont be in the quiz, instead they would be much harder and completely different. wording wise and mathematically wise and we're left completely blind and in the dark. also when you go to get some help from the videos while doing the quiz the link would take you to a whole different part of the video that is not useful to the question you want help with at all. Mr Hegarty also teaches in a very lengthy way. making us take many steps that don't need to be taken and could waste our time in an exam. not happy at all.

so many videos are empty of help, parts of equations are not explained or already solved, the guys voice is droning and annoying, the questions are nitpicky and absurd to do, especially with the video. Do not use this to learn, only use it for practice

The videos don't make sense, not even one bit, which doesn't help me to understand how we work out something.- waste of time. The site doesn't even deserve 1 star but I can't submit a review without giving one.
