Their health guarantee means nothing.
A health guarantee means nothing if the breeder doesn’t uphold her end of the contract.
My puppy showed abnormal range of motion during the routine hip-flex test during her second vet visit that was suggestive of potential hip dysplasia. I brought my puppy to a different vet for a second opinion and was told her range of motion was limited and she had an awkward gait. I was referred to an orthopedic specialist. While I waited for my appointment date, I updated the breeder about the ongoing medical issues. I was immediately told that any x-rays before 2 years weren’t valid and was accused of over-exercising and overfeeding my puppy. Then she ghosted me until I got a lawyer.
The orthopedic specialist was able to diagnose my puppy after 3 visits and multiple x-rays with a ruptured ACL/CCL and determined that the date of the injury was before I brought her home based on pictures/videos of her sitting and running on day one. Per the specialist, this type of injury in a young puppy can only be caused by severe trauma, such as being dropped.
