Bonus tickets not automatically…
Bonus tickets not automatically triggered Overhaul of present practices of applying bonus codes. After validation of bonus not triggered could the Health Lottery please add the bonus to the account and inform the punter instead of sending a code to the customers to apply themselves as most of the codes sent to customers are invalid and one has to reapply to obtain a redress. The hassle is avoidable. Gyimah

When you meet the spend criteria for one of our bonus offers and apply the code, the bonus credit is received directly into your online wallet (this is separate from your cash balance, and cannot be withdrawn). When you make your next lottery purchase, you may elect to pay by cash in your online wallet, bonus credit or a combination of both. As described in the terms of each promotion, the bonus credit will usually have a limited life, with an expiry date attached after which it may not be used. Health Lottery has better odds
I don't use the app, so I can't comment on that. But I find logging in to the web page easy to do.
I like the Health Lottery because the odds of winning are better than other known lotteries and it's only £1 a line. I haven't been playing long but have already won a few free tickets from 2 numbers (which gives you another go for free) 'You've got to be in it to win it' as they say...
As money also goes to charity, for me its £1 worth playing.

The instant games don't work on either app or mobile site.
Very poor design.
Makes it difficult to close account -- you need to have a minimum amount in your wallet to withdraw otherwise it doesn't allow you to transfer funds back to bank account. This blocks you from closing health lottery account!

I have been playing the game for a few years now and have complained about not getting bonus draws . Now you tell me I have to use my debit card.Yet you bombarded me with emails to go direct debit.So all the bonuses I have won have not been entered.

Instead they are held in the bonus section of your account where you are required to elect to play using this bonus credit and to choose which draw/s you’d like to enter. In addition, cash prizes won are transferred to your online wallet where they can be reinvested in further lottery draws, or withdrawn to a debit card. I had a query relating to a promotion bonus and contacted the Health Lottery Team. To my surprise I received a response within hours with a full explanation and resolved my query straight away. I can only praise the Health Lottery for the service that I received.

I have played 2 lines once a week since 2012 by direct debit. However, now I have just discovered that any winnings get paid into my “online account “. Despite ringing and being told my £20 from a win 5 weeks ago would be paid into my HSBC bank account, it was not. Then I won £10 in July. They had told me they would set up any future payment to be paid into my account. Today they said that is not possible. So I have cancelled my direct debit. I think this is shocking. It encourages extra gambling.

Our terms and conditions advise players that winnings are paid into their online wallet, where they can be withdrawn at any time. Free tickets and bonus credit is not in the form of cash and therefore cannot be withdrawn, but need to be reinvested in future lottery play. Prizes however are in the form of pounds sterling and can be withdraw to the player’s bank or reinvested. This has been in place since we launched The Health Lottery 12 years ago.

Don’t trust not transparent no customer care
So cross I changed my bank card as it was out of date I did have email for new account details because direct debit failed but as I didn’t want to carry on with direct debit and didn’t owe anything I did not update the information.I cannot believe that somehow my new account card information was accessed and direct debit set up without my knowledge I cancelled this with my bank online last month but it somehow was reactivated. I have today cancelled it again with my bank if this is reactivated without my consent again I will take action . This app needs to provide a better way to cancel direct debit on its app when I google it says you can do this via wallet but this isn’t possible stop fobbing customers and act with customer care in mind .

Birkenhead… what more needs to be said poor quality site only interested in taking as much money as possible with misleading titles which are total lies you have to be a fool to actually deposit anything, I made an account and as soon as you have an account it’s asking you to deposit money on what looks like a scam site with the low resolution site images, which made me look them up on here, felt like I should leave 1 star as a lot of the 5 star reviews look to be false/paid for reviews!

Beware this dishonest company
Email exchange as follows:
Played due to £5 offer with £2 bonus. Pressed all the right buttons and still got charged £5 plus £2 on my card. Not impressed. Hope this is not indicative of dodgy admin on your end. Please refund.
Their reply: We have reviewed your account and can see you deposited and spent £5, which awarded you the £2 bonus. Unfortunately instead of selecting the £2 bonus you was awarded, you confirmed the £2 payment to be taken. We can also see that the £2 bonus was then used successfully. Many thanks.
My reply: This is not true as I distinctly remember selecting the method of payment of payment as £2 bonus. As one of course would in those circumstances, as I was determined to get the bonus rather than be swindled out of it as they were clearly trying to do by making it is as complicated as possible.
Regardless of what The Health Lottery claim their log states, I was very careful to select "Use £2 bonus" from the drop-down menu and therefore the £2 should not have been taken from my card. I am not 99% certain that I made that selection and confirmed it, but 100% and therefore I can confidently state that in keeping with The Health Lottery making it extremely difficult to claim the bonus, even when someone is careful to navigate all the obstacles the Health Lottery have put up to stop people getting their bonus as advertised, they still do not honour it anyway.
Goodness knows what other tricks they are getting up to, and I would not trust "The Health Lottery" as far as I could throw them and would never use them again.

The online wallet has two balances. The primary balance is money which the player has deposited and the secondary balance is any bonus credit that has been accrued. Unless the player selects to pay for entries using bonus credit, the default will always prioritise deposited funds. Our transaction log for the disputed play clearly shows that you did not elect to use the £2 credit on this occasion, but subsequently used it on a separate transaction. This log can be provided to you on request.
