I purchased a leather sofa and chair
I purchased a leather sofa and chair. On arrival early June there was indentation and creasing to the arms of both the sofa and chair, which made this unacceptable to myself and inconsistent with Hatters shop floor sample. I was advised by Hatters delivery men that this was due to storage in warehouse but would rectify itself in time. After two/three weeks there was no improvement therefore I contacted Hatters who said they would send an independent company to assess the complaint. They duly turned up but it transpred that it was just an operative who attempted to straighten out indentations and creases with a heat gun.
Like many people of my age, late 70's, I did'nt want the hassle of trying to resolve the problem any further and accepted fait au complet and that customer satisfaction is not a priority these days.
However time passes and every day I look at the sofa and chair and regret buying them. If I were more affluent I would already be buying a replacement.
If, as Hatters staff say, the problem was due to warehouse storage this was totally unacceptable and avoidable. Needed to get this off my chest and I sincerely hope they consider this feedback as foolishly I've ordered another chair from them but won't be accepting it should it not be perfect.
