We have had the privilege of working with John for some time now! Our original wedding date got pushed back a year due to covid and John was so understanding throughout the process, he even sent out Jacqueline to capture our little backyard covid wedding, and she did an amazing job! We also had to change our venue at the last minute and John did not even bat an eye! He worked with us through all of our hiccups and always gave such helpful suggestions and advice. He was always available for a phone call or a conversation over text and every conversation with him always left us feeling at ease, and we knew were in good hands. Chris was there to capture our big celebration this year and his drone footage was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!! If you're considering the drone, DO IT! It made our wedding video even more special! We are so beyond happy that we decided to have videography for our wedding and the day goes by extremely fast, so we are glad we have this beautiful footage to look back on and remember exactly how we were feeling in the moment. John and his team are the best at what they do and we are SO THANKFUL that we had the wonderful opportunity to have them capture our special day and create lasting memories for us!

John was absolutely amazing to work with from the start! From the initial phone call, we knew he was our guy. He was professional, kind, caring, and all around top notch from start to finish. We had to postpone the wedding three times and each time John was understanding and supportive. He was in touch every step of the way and truly made us feel like we were family. On our big day we had Jacqueline and Chris shoot the wedding, and they were both just as kind, caring, compassionate, and professional! After receiving all three of our videos we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome!!!! We are SO happy with the final productions and couldn’t have pictured anyone else capturing our big day!!!! When starting to plan our wedding, never did we think a global pandemic would throw us for a loop! John stayed committed to us throughout all the replanning. He took the time to talk us through his process over the phone and what to expect, not leaving any details out. John also gave us the option of doing a voice over on our video which added the perfect touch, as well as drone footage! On our wedding day, he made sure to capture all the big and little moments and it was amazing to look back on once we watched our video! He went above and beyond to make sure we had something great to remember for years. We would 100% recommend Happy Tears for anyone looking for a videographer!

John and his team were absolutely amazing! They were punctual and were sure to make sure that everything was okay before they left. John was very easy to communicate with and was extremely reliable. John Rink was fantastic from the very first phone conference until the day was finished on our special day. We first discovered Happy Tears at a bridal show and then covid happened. Even though we couldn’t meet in person, John was extremely friendly and informative during our first phone call. He made us feel comfortable, made recommendations and was a joy to talk to. When we decided to use Happy Tears, an easy decision to make, John kept in touch throughout the time as our wedding day approached. He was very professional, asking questions, and making suggestions so that he could make sure he could capture all of our special moments. Happy tears was literally one of the easiest vendors to work with! They made everything a little less stressful, and captured every part of our special day! We had 2 days because of covid and they were so generous and accommodating to both dates. We really couldn’t have asked for a better videographer! He is very flexible and he sure does bring a lot of energy to the whole experience. We were very comfortable with him. John was extremely attentive to me and my husband. He wanted to make sure everything was perfect for our video. He contacted us several times prior to our wedding to get all the details and hear what we wanted. It definitely helped that he has an easy going personality and is a bit of a comedian. We enjoyed talking and working with John. Our video was absolutely beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. I was able to relive my wedding day. He captured so many details that I missed. As a bride, you are rushed around and miss a lot of what's going on around you. John made sure to include everything in our video. If you are thinking about writing letters to each prior to the ceremony, ask John for different ideas. My husband is private and did not want me to read the letter he had wrote me out loud. John had an amazing idea to record our voices for the video, so as I read the letter silently you could hear my husband's voice reading it. That was a great idea and really put a sentimental touch in our video. I would highly recommend Happy Tears Videographery to everyone I possibly can. John was like a fly on the wall. You never even knew he was there the whole night. Even my guests said they never realized he was video taping. Everyone feels comfortable with him around and continues to act themselves. John did a great job! I cannot express that enough.

I came across Happy Tears at a Bridal Show early-on in our planning process. From the first meeting, John and his crew were so easy to talk to, helpful, approachable, and talented! Before booking, I checked out some of his work and was so pleased to see that Happy Tears covered a wedding that I had attended! Once we decided to move forward with Happy Tears, many phone conversations with John were exchanged where he got to know us as a couple and our unique style. We felt comfortable telling him what we liked and what we didn’t. On the day of our wedding, our videographer, Chris, was wonderful. He was on-time, professional, approachable, and amazing at his job! Our wedding teaser video was ready TWO DAYS LATER and it was AMAZING! Shortly after, our official wedding video was finished and I could not be more happy with it. There is nothing like re-living the best day of your life over and over again. Going into planning a wedding, I always said I wouldn’t get a video. One, because they are expensive, and two, I never wanted to sit down and watch it. After I found Happy Tears, during a bridal show, I decided that I NEEDED a wedding video. They were personable, happy, and fun! I actually won a 50% off deal while attending a bridal show- they attend a lot of bridal shows. While working with this company they were easy, had great communication, and really cared what I wanted. They worked with me through thick and thin, during a pandemic wedding. John went out of his way to make sure my head was still attached, while in the midst of the coronavirus. He didn’t have to, but he cared that much about his client. When creating my video, he made sure I loved it and included everything I wanted. I will recommend Happy Tears every time someone asks about cinematography.

I can’t express enough how happy I was with Happy Tears Productions. John Rink ( owner) is a true professional and passionate about his craft. John has excellent communication skills and walks you through the various stages of the video planning for your wedding. He is always available to answer any questions and has the biggest heart. For me, my wedding video was one of the most important aspects of wedding planning because your wedding video will allow you and your family & friends to see all aspects of your wedding day. These are memories that are PRICELESS. John & his team are so professional. We had Jacquline & Joe who were able to capture all the wedding day moments in a very indiscreet way. The drone footage of the Cape May beachfront was just breathtaking! ! I can’t say enough wonderful things about John & his team. This is absolutely a vendor that you can depend on.

What a wonderful experience John creates from start to finish! From his initial intake phone call, he shows that he truly cares about his clients and wants to get to know them. Due to COVID-19, we had to downsize all aspects of our wedding and John was very understanding and supportive along the way. He demonstrated his flexibility and professionalism throughout the difficult decisions we had to make and relay to him. Leading up to our micro-wedding, John arranged a phone call to confirm details which helped put our minds at ease. He was funny, easy going but thorough in his approach with us. On the day of our wedding, he arrived early and immediately got to work shooting everything he could. The final product- our wedding video- turned out to be the most beautiful thing we’ve ever seen! He listened to all our requests and then some... We were truly impressed. Since then, we’ve gotten numerous compliments from people who we have shared this video with too. We will cherish the video of our micro-wedding forever and are looking forward to working with John again next summer and seeing how that video turns out! I would highly recommend happy tears to anyone having a wedding ! John is fantastic!! He really took the time to get to know us right from the start. He was always fast to respond to any questions I had , all this on top of giving us a great deal! Unfortunately COVID killed my wedding dreams & John gave me a full refund ! When we do have the ceremony of our dreams we absolutely will be hiring Happy Tears for all our videography needs !

We were very happy with Happy Tears as our Videographer for our wedding. Our wedding was scheduled for June 2020 and we had to postpone it because of COVID. We told John we were rescheduling for the following year but still doing a small wedding on our original date. He immediately told us that he wanted to do something for his couples who had to postpone their weddings due to the pandemic and he offered to come to our intimate wedding free of charge. We were so thankful and excited that he offered this to us. The video he made was amazing! I cannot wait to see when the two videos are merged next year after our wedding. John is so kind and thoughtful and does amazing work! I would highly recommend Happy Tears to anyone who is looking for a Videographer for their wedding. He also gives discounts to teachers which was a plus with my husband and I both being teachers.

When I sat to write this, I wanted to really describe my encounters with Happy Tears in a way that would really get the point across of how they treated with us. The more I thought on this the more I realized in order to really understand, you must experience. There is no other way to say it.
We started looking for someone to video our wedding in late February 2020. When we first talked to Happy Tears, we did not just get a professional, we also made a new friend.
My wife and I had been dating twenty years……… (Yes, twenty years) when I FINALLY decided to propose it was worth the wait. We have been planning this wedding for long time and had a great idea of what we wanted to look for. Enter John Rink, the creator of Happy Tears.
From the first phone call we had with him, even though it was for business, it did not feel like business. John has a way of making you feel like you are talking to a friend you know instead of being “interviewed” as just a client. John is genuine, upfront, entertaining, insightful, and very professional. We hired him with complete confidence, and we were excited to have him and his company on board.
Then COVID hit. We ran through a gauntlet of decision-making and emotions. With everything shut down on our tentative wedding day, we had no clue what we were going to do. A week before, we decided to keep our day and have all the formal celebrations in the future. Happy Tears not only stepped up but blew us away. They were amazing enough to stand in for the original day we wanted WHILE clearing the schedule for our formal day next year. They created one of the most meaningful videos for us to remember, and the experience was effortless. True to form, Happy Tears delivered one of the most incredible experiences we have had, and that was just beginning. They did not just make an amazing video; they became a part of the amazing moments we had that day.
We cannot WAIT until next year to have our new friends as a part of our formal celebration.

Where shall I begin? Whenever I speak about John and his company, Happy Tears Productions, I always find myself tearing up. From the very first phone call I had with John, I knew in my heart, that we made the right choice for a videographer, for our ceremony. John and I spoke for over an hour during our first conversation. He shared many amazing stories about himself, his family, and the couples he has worked with. Talking to John felt so natural…like talking to a good friend. At the time, we had not met, but he had become like family to us. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 19, 2020 and as the date became closer, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived at the same time. After many months of planning for your “perfect day” you can only imagine how emotional it was for us when we were informed that our ceremony could not take place, as the nation was in a state of emergency, including social distancing restrictions, state curfews, and the inability to have our ceremony at the venue. We postponed the date to July 2020 because we assumed, at that time, that the pandemic would not be “that serious” or “that long.” Unfortunately, we were quite wrong. The pandemic IS that serious and it will take a long time for the nation to recover. So, here we were once again, emotional and full of anxiety, that we would need to postpone our date once again. On a personal note, this process has been quite difficult because I don’t have my mother here due to her passing a few years ago. Imagine the amount of tears that I have shed over the past few months because of the constant uncertainty and changes in our lives. Each step of the way, John has been right there. He calls, sends texts, and emails to check on us. He has gone above and beyond with us. I truly believe he would do the same for any other couple that is experiencing this difficult time with the pandemic. Very recently, John did something amazing for my fiancé and I. We will never forget what he has done for us. We wish to publicly thank John for being such an amazing person. We highly recommend him for any momentous occasion. He is extremely professional, enjoys what he does, and he cares. Simply put, he truly cares. We love John! So will you!!! We are looking forward to our BIG ceremony and celebration in 2021, with Happy Tears Productions right there!!!

My wife and I were married this past February at a lovely winery in Hammonton, NJ. It’s been an incredible journey together up to this point and we wanted to make sure we didn’t miss a thing on our day. We’ve had so many friends tell us that the one thing they regretted after being married is not having a videographer there to capture every moment. Honestly, we can’t recommend Happy Tears enough if you’re like us and want a videographer for your wedding. From day one John Rink (the owner) was probably more on top of our wedding than even we were, and he would continue to show that level of enthusiasm and professionality throughout the process. He was incredibly helpful with figuring out the best package for us based on our schedule of events. He will not nickel and dime you or suggest packages based on whatever gets him the most money; all his suggestions were very honest and practical. We wanted to have a laid back wedding without all of the usual hustle and bustle of most weddings; and he definitely suggested the best package for us. On the day of the wedding, John was organized, on time, and a much-needed pillar of stability on a hectic day. John moved around the room so effortlessly, we both kept forgetting he was even recording. It was nice that he was not too intrusive and not in the way of any of the events. When we started to go over time, it was John who came to make sure we didn’t miss our cake cutting for the video.
Of course, the most important part is the video. We just got our ‘trailer’ to the wedding and it was beautiful. I am a quiet man and was choked up at times during my vows, but you can hear every word clearly. Despite the trailer being a little over 5 minutes, the scenes John was able capture were carefully edited into a perfect synopsis. We can’t wait to see the full video now that we’ve had a sneak peek at what is in store (and I’ve been told a watch party is being organized). Correction: my wife confirmed that she is organizing a watch party with her sisters once this “stay at home order” is lifted. If you are getting married and want to make sure that your day is captured live for you and your partner to enjoy then I cannot recommend Happy Tears enough.

Don’t Ask Siri, Just Ask John:

Some of the best things in life happen when you aren’t looking and that is exactly how I met John of Happy Tears Productions. Shortly after I became a fiancée to the love of my life, I did what all “brides to be” do- go straight to Barnes and Noble to purchase a handful of bridal magazines and start researching bridal expos. I stumbled upon a bridal expo at Blue Heron Pines Golf Course where I was probably the most excited bride to be there accompanied by my bridesmaids (who are all maids of honor- since we have a special relationship individually). One of the highlights of attending the bridal expo was being able to enter many contests to get discounted vendors or the chance of a paid honeymoon. Being the planner I am, I booked many vendors already at this point but when I saw the booth “Happy Tears Videography” I thought wow- why not enter for a chance to win Videography for my wedding. Being someone who is a romantic and always wished I could play back eight years ago to meeting my fiancé; memories are something I always cherish. In my opinion, videos are a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone. Fast forward to a few weeks later, I got a card in the mail showing I won a voucher for 50% off videography- A STEAL! Upon our first phone call- my fiancé and I grew quickly attached to John and felt comfortable right away- you could tell by my phone log of our conversation being almost two hours long! We didn’t just get to know one another and discuss the idea of what kind of video options we wanted, John gave us advice for all areas of our wedding- tips and tricks that only the pro’s know. He even went the extra mile in helping us get in touch with other vendors and secure them while looking for other services. If there was ever a time I needed John, he was there with open arms and informative advice- even when it came to something that didn’t pertain to him like me needing to vent about how stressed I was- especially about having to get ahold of my non-responsive venue during the COVID-19 pandemic (that no bride of 2020 will ever forget). I was so panicked and in tears daily that my fiancé Joey didn’t even know what to do anymore that he said “Call John, I don’t know how to help you anymore but I know he’ll calm you down.” And John did just that- he offered me realistic alternatives on what to do- even ready to contact other vendors and venues on my behalf to sort things out. Since it looked like things weren’t getting better with COVID-19 we couldn’t get married on the day we planned to which would’ve also been our seven year anniversary together. Right before I had my call with my venue to decide on what my new wedding date would be, I called John and asked him “what dates are you available?” The only thing that mattered to Joey and I was that John was there on our wedding day and long behold after bouncing dates around with my venue- I was in tears… HAPPY tears (no pun intended) that it aligned with John’s date.
Long story short if you are even thinking about a videographer for your wedding- it’s John. If you think that it’s an extra expense that you’d pass on because you’re on a budget- don’t pass it up because he has an unique package for everyone- and trust me- aside from the fabulous pricing, you’re going to quickly grow attached to someone who will in a short period of time become a household name. Someone who will become family to you- that if he wasn’t filming your wedding- you’d invite him personally to attend anyways. He is someone who you will be in contact with for the rest of your life because you will find that he will matter to you (if not more) than how much you and your happiness will matter to him. My wedding isn’t for a few more months but I know that everything will be seamless because John Rink is present.
