I used Hadrian’s Vehicle Services for a professional Lanoguard underbody corrosion-protection treatment costing about £350.
The job had been booked over several days, and it was agreed that I would be collected from the local bus station when the vehicle was ready. This wasn’t an exceptional demand of mine. It appears to be a regular part of their service offering, judging by other comments left on Google Maps to that effect.
On the morning of collection I telephoned in advance directly to the proprietor on his personal mobile number with my exact arrival time and also sent him a text on the same number when my bus arrived. Despite that, I was left waiting for approximately 45 minutes, at which point I telephoned the proprietor asking where he was.
When he eventually collected me, instead of acknowledging the delay, he sought to place responsibility on me for not having made a further actual telephone call to him personally at the precise moment I arrived at the station. That struck me as an unreasonable distinction given that I had already telephoned him with my exact arrival time and then texted him on arrival.
His manner was, in my view, arrogant. Rather than treating the situation as a service failure and handling it courteously, he persisted in arguing that the problem was really mine, including what I regarded as a mocking grin while making his points. I found this attitude towards a customer particularly disappointing, especially given that I still owed him a substantial amount of money for the job.
The discussion in his van became heated and, at one point, he indicated, again grinning, that I might like to walk back “up the hill” to his premises. In response, and out of frustration, I made an intemperate remark to the effect that, had I been 20 years younger, I would have wiped the smile off his face.
I did not intend it as a genuine threat of violence. I am 80 years old and visibly physically disabled, which I think is relevant context when judging the nature and seriousness of the remark.
I paid the outstanding balance in full when we got back to the premises and left promptly, later posting feedback on Google Maps, having been actively solicited by the firm to do so, even while the job was still underway.
The proprietor then posted a response in highly personalised terms against me, characterising my remark as a threat to a member of staff. Significantly, he failed to acknowledge that I had already telephoned with my exact arrival time and then texted on arrival in an effort to comply with the agreed arrangements.
After that, I looked more closely at other customers’ experiences, both on Google Maps and here on Trustpilot. I found a review here from another customer who had also paid for a Lanoguard treatment by Hadrian’s. That customer complained specifically about the preparation and initial application and subsequently returned his vehicle for the treatment to be carried out again. Hadrian’s own response acknowledged that the initial service had not met its standards.
I also found a Google Maps review from another dissatisfied customer whose review was plainly critical of Hadrian’s conduct, and in response the proprietor again became highly personal and accusatory. This reflected aspects of my own experience and reinforced my concerns about how this firm and its proprietor respond to negative criticism.
All this led me to look more closely at the treatment of my own vehicle, and I am therefore seeking an independent technical assessment of whether the work was carried out to the intended specification.
It is clear from customer feedback, particularly on Google Maps, that this firm carries out quite a lot of these Lanoguard treatments. This is an underbody corrosion-protection system, and it is very difficult, if not practically impossible, for an ordinary consumer to be sure that it has been carried out properly to the full manufacturer’s specification as advertised by Hadrian’s, particularly in hidden box sections and cavities which cannot readily be inspected afterwards.
I am leaving this review because of the importance of this to other potential customers of this firm, particularly those getting them to do a Lanoguard treatment. I will update this post with any developments about the quality of my treatment.
On the basis of my experience to date, I would not recommend this business. I shall not be returning under any circumstances, including for any proposed re-treatment. Given the breakdown in the relationship and what has followed, I no longer have sufficient confidence in the proprietor or the business to place my vehicle back in their hands.

Got car in on time and have done a fantastic job car looks great am really happy with work they did would recommend them to anyone wanting to keep their car looking mint.

I wasn't happy with the first application of Lanoguard and reviewed on Trust Pilot. To be fair to James Teasdale, owner of Hadrian Vehicle services, he contacted me and asked for further details. His promise was to re-present my truck to have the work personally supervised by him. One month later, truck delivered, Lanoguard applied. Jobs a good un. Many thanks.

Met James at arranged time 8am 4th of June , he immediately greeted me and discussed fully the procedure for my car so as i was up to speed on the tailored plan for my vehicle.

I left the car with James and returned the next day to be once again met by James who showed me my car and once again fully explained everything that had been done, i had opted for the Stage 1 plan which came with a 3 year warranty which ties in with how long i will be the owner of my vehicle, this had included the bodywork, wheels , engine and underside of the vehicle plus i opted to have the car windows included.

Was i happy with the outcome , oh yes i was , the car looked stunning , i was also given products that would , when used help to maintain the presentation of my car, would i recommend this company and procedure , most definitely i do.

Excellent service from James and the team. I had the 7 year graphene coating and the car looks amazing. Also had lanoguard applied at the same time. I will definitely be using the yearly top up.

I went on Saturday morning to see if they could polish out scratches. They did it straight away and would not take payment. Excellent service. I will recommend them to everybody.

Incredible service and results from James and his team at HVS. I had a full lanoguard treatment and a stage 1 paint correction and ceramic coating done to my 2014 Porsche cayenne and I was blown away by the results. The paintwork shines like a mirror. Amazing result. And James was a pleasure to do business with.

Outstanding service from James and the team. I was kept informed throughout and James even made time for me to collect my vehicle on Sunday. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hadrian's for the Lanoguard service and I'll definitely take my next vehicle there.

Customer service has been terrible. Minor scratches weren't removed, confirmed by a second opinion from another bodywork specialist and during the process an area of bare metal was caused by over polishing. Despite emails to the owner James this has been denied and no solution has been provided.

Took my recently ceramic coated Tiguan back to have to have some minor repairs to the body sorted out as they detracted from the overall condition of my car. Not only was the repair carried out and protected, but my bonnet received some further work as the ‘finish and water beading on one side, wasn’t how we like it’. What can I say, I remain thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the team in ensuring the customer has the best service and care.

We had our Volvo xc90 ceramic coating done by James and his team what a fantastic job they have done, it really stands out it is super shiny and protected from the elements can't praise this company highly enough and would highly recommend there services.
