We were absolutely dreading our removal day, we were thinking we were going to get a crew that wasn't helpful or understanding and instead we got 4 of the most amazing guys; Paul, Roger, Dan and Tom, were absolute heros and so, so funny, they made the days fun and enjoyable and really relieved any stress we had, I cannot recommend these guys enough, I'm only sad that we didn't know about these guys sooner otherwise we would have chosen them for our removal to NZ, thank you so much guys, you were a blessing xxx

The whole process was very professional and all staff very helpful. The actual removals team were excellent, easy to get on with and very helpful. The removals to our new home was made as easy as possible and certainly helped to minimise stress. I would definitely recommend and a big thank you to the entire team, well done on a 1 st class service.

Hackworthy and Sons Ltd were exactly what one would wish for from start to finish. On the telephone they were calm, caring and courteous and quietly made sure they were clear about specific needs and aspects of the move. They were also understanding, unfazed and helpful about possible date changes due to complicated legalities and subsequent late confirmation of whether I was able to move directly into a rental home with all my possessions or would be putting them into storage on the day. Wrapping products were at less cost than from local storage venues and delivered by the requested time. On the day all the removers were upbeat, with a much needed good sense of humour and could not have been more helpful or have done a better job. Hackworthy and Sons removals were the least stressful aspect of selling my house and I could not recommend them more strongly in every way.

The team at Hackworthy & Sons were amazing. From start to finish they went above and beyond to make moving as stress free as possible. Cannot praise them enough. Friendly, cheerful, polite and curious. If I move again I’ll certainly be using them again and could not recommend enough. Thank you for all you did.

Absolutely amazing, from initial meeting to the end of the move. Superb and professional. I Highly recommended this team. Very fair pricing in my opinion. They supplied all boxes, paper and tape you could need and said if we needed more they’ll bring them. On the day of the removal, the team were prompt and ensured the areas were covered with floor protection, they were very professional and swift. They made moving even the heaviest items look very easy, which I can assure you is not with my furniture. I gave the team some refreshments(cans of pop and Kit Kats) and they were happy as Larry.
They made it all look very easy and were calm and reassuring, nothing seemed too much trouble at all, which took the stress out of the removal. Once clear, they removed all the protection and saddled up the lorry for the onward journey. They arrived at the destination after their lunch, raring to go, even though we were slightly delayed obtaining keys, they were not at all bothered. The team laid full protective covers into the house and up the stairs and then began unloading and positioning furniture and assembled beds where we wanted them. They made it look so easy, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The team stayed onsite until we were satisfied and then removed all the protective flooring, packed up and departed after sorting the paperwork.
I was VERY impressed from start to finish. The team were impressive with the slick way they moved us and I would not have any hesitation in recommending them. WORTH EVERY PENNY in my opinion.

The men were respectful and polite. They looked after both us and our belongings and made the move as easy as possible. I am very grateful for all their hard work.

From day one everyone was kind and helpful, in our 70s and 80s moving house after 50 years was daunting but the lads were excellent and professional and made the whole experience much less traumatic. We certainly made the right choice and Adrian was the first contact and deciding factor.

We had are Sofa Delivered by Hackworthy and Sons Very professional and helpful as each time they delivered from a very crap company Scs only took 5 delivery's, from Hackworthy and Sons each time the Driver Rob & Patrick we're very helpful and professional and went above and beyond with there customer service skills they are credit to their company. Thank you very much for everything would highly recommend this company.

Moving house is a trauma... that's what they say, but my house move was made easy by Hackworthys. The three lads who did the move for me were polite, engaged and super-helpful. They were relaxed and actually sang most of the day! I cannot recommend them enough...fantastic!

From start to finish, Hackworthy provided an amazing service. They coped as we changed our removal date several times (due to our buyer's delays!)
The packing service was more than worth the money - two highly professional staff arrived and introduced themselves. After a brief tour of the property they packed in double-quick time. They were joined by a third colleague the next day to pack our (overly-full!) garage and cleared this quickly too, including finding and cleaning a cool box and emptying the fridge! After a short wait for keys, everything was unloaded in a mere three hours to the rooms of our choice, including moving things between rooms when we changed our minds.
Nothing was too much trouble (or, it seems, too heavy!) and everything was packed so securely and carefully that our entire contents has arrived undamaged.
I cannot recommend Hackworthy highly enough. Hopefully we won't be moving for a long time, but if we do I know exactly who I will be calling.

had 2 vans which arrived earlier than expected which was great. everything was loaded up ok for the short drive to get to our new home(which was only a mile away), this is where it swiftly went south due to the incompetence of our solicitor. After vacating the property we discovered that our totally incompetent solicitor had taken the morning off so no completion was done hence having to sit patiently outside the new house for almost 4 hours. the guys were great about this i guess they're used to this sort of thing happening. Hackworthys were great and sent extra guys to help with the unloading faster and we were all in by 6pm. thanks for being so patient and making sure everything was put where we wanted it. they helped make a little less stressful.

I used this excellent family-run company to move house in October 2022. It was complicated as half of our furniture went into storage for 6 months. The staff at the storage unit and the removal men were all outstanding. A special thankyou to Paul Deacon, Dan James and David Lawson. And an extra special thankyou to Adrian Foster who helped coordinate everything so meticulously. Outstanding company with exceptional customer service.

Friendly and helpful on phone and team virtual assessment. However, the 2 vans loaded with my belongings arrived at different times and so all my boxes were put into cottage first, they should have waited for their 2nd van which contained my furniture because there was no room to put my furniture in the right functional place in the small cottage I have moved to. I also couldn't put down all my rugs. Why didn't the 1st van team wait for their 2nd van to unload floor coverings first, with furniture then let the boxes be put into each room in the right place, it's not rocket science.
I now have a stressful situation of trying to move massive heavy boxes which they packed to attempt to move my furniture on my own into it's right functional space. This oversight of Plymouth Hackworthy team has left me disappointed and the moving stress has doubled, I payed for their help not hindrance.
I was on site to lend a hand at the moving out end, my parents were at the other end to direct your team. My father was very upset that the first van containing furniture arrived late and after the second van arrived first who rather than waiting for furniture and carpets to go in first, all labelled by myself as to where to go, the first van unloaded filled my new place with boxes, so that when furniture arrived there was no room to put down big carpets and place furniture in correct place, even though my Father tried to instruct.
The removal men had to dash off back to Plymouth, they weren't even Hackworthy people but had been contracted in.
I have received a phone call from Hackworthy offering to remedy the situation, it would have taken hours and a team to do so, I was and still am stressed and exhausted, I didn't want to see the men who'd made moving such a nightmare for me. One of my chest of drawers is still stuck in my former cottage, I need it but they couldn't remove it, my friends managed to get it in and up the tight staircase without damage to the property when they helped move me in.
