Poor links for tracking parcel
Ordered item on 5th september. They sent confirmation email with a tracking link via a "shop" app which I had to down load. However the status of my parcel kept changing from delived2-3 hours ago to preparing for shipment. Sent email to gwf asking about tracking my parcel which they responded pretty quickly with another link
for royal mail. However this was not a tracker it was simply confirmation when delivered. So basically did not know when my parcel was arriving. Eventually arrived on 11th so can now go out to work

Good morning, we are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your recent experience as this isn't our usual customer experience. Unfortunately Royal Mail don't offer a tracker facility as you say, which can be frustrating for our customers as well as for our team here. However, we are in the process of reviewing our shipping and fulfilment so we hope to have resolved this in the near future. We are however able to offer the tracker facility for larger parcels via DHL. If you would ever like more information in the future please do get in touch with us again and we will be very happy to follow this up with Royal Mail directly to see if we can get a more accurate timescale for you. On your other point, the Shop app you saw on your confirmation is not generated by us but is an optional service offered by our web platform Shopify - there's no obligation to download the app and this isn't something we proactively recommend to our customers.
