The Care Sector and Green Jellyfish
If you are in the care sector please do not be fooled by this company into claiming for R&D tax credits for you; they simply are not relevant to this industry.
They take their 15% commission but when HMRC investigate and require you to pay the value back with interest and in some cases penalties, they sit pretty on their cut of commission! Do not use them.

As the reviews below il just add that is a massive scam.
They will call you up tell you that you qualify… when you don’t. Worst part is they make things up we requested our report and it was some nonsense about creating an new artificial god like software which is total LIE we only do data… passed around from jack Mulhall to ‘senior mangers Jordan’ which is probably anyone as I have spoken to 3-4 seniors kwak and others.
Stay away we now face massive penalties and could face closure.

This is a scam! Do not allow them to make a claim on your business!
I was approached by my Green Jellyfish via email.
They arrange a call with your business to investigate if your business is able to make a claim.
They ask you to send in your corporation tax returns for your previous years, and even sign an NDA so that you trust them.
You receive a voicemail to say you can claim up to 20k cash or 18k in tax relief for a future year's tax return.
Options are sent via email giving you a choice of a guarantee fee, so if you ever have to submit any documentation to prove your R&D claim to HMRC, they will do the work for you, that’s how they get away with taking a big percentage out of your claim.
They submit the claim using a downloadable template from HMRC and submit this on your behalf, after they have requested more details from you such as, ID, PAYE Ref, Business address and Name, Business bank account number and sort code.
They do not submit the claim under their own business name, they use yours, so you are liable for any mistakes they have made in your claim.
You are then hounded by calls, No caller ID calls, voicemails and emails requesting you to click on the link they have sent.
If you don’t click on the link, they give you 14 days to pay their fees in full. Which is around 5k-7k.
If you click on the link and sign into your Web Filling account you give them access to your accounts online, they can then change any details they want.
They ask for 3 months' grace from HMRC, so this means if you even receive any money without them stealing the whole amount, you would be liable to pay back the whole amount they claimed if HMRC choose to investigate.
By that time, they have all the claim money or a huge amount.
Your company is then in debt to HMRC if you cannot provide all the correct documents to prove R&D.
Do not share your Login ID or passwords for online filling!
They will also send you fake letters in the post from HMRC, stating they have received your claim. This is Fake!
DELETE, AVOID, BLOCK, find a reputable accountant if you believe you have an R&D claim.
I will continue to post this review everyday until the scammers are stopped. I am also reporting to HMRC and the Police!

I didn't think I did R&D, but I was convinced by Green Jellyfish that I did and all my competitors did so if I didn't make an R&D claim I was missing out!
GJF took my accounts and my tax return and filed an R&D claim on my behalf, and it worked. I received cash back from HMRC (less a significant percentage taken by GreenJellyFish). The cash was obviously spent on things we really needed to trade and grow.
Fast forward to the end of 2022 and we have a HMRC enquiry, I expected Green Jellyfish to help, but they didn't. They failed to provide me with the report, the calculations or anything else so I have no idea what they actually did or what they sent to HMRC in the first place.
I've now had to take my medicine and hand back the money to HMRC along with a hefty fine. Green Jellyfish still continue to ignore me and have kept the commission!!

UPDATE. I was asked to call the number below. I spoke to Jason who promised to get my issues resolved and call me back a few days ago. No callback. Nothing since then. I didn't expect a return call. But thought I would do as asked and play along.
Anyway, they know exactly who I am. I have them in Court already. Claim Number L9QZ952N. Isued 29.5.24 at WANDSWORTH Court. I am looking forward to exposing this scam in front of a Judge.
I am part of a Whatsapp group of 70 other victims. Many are going to testify as witnesses. We have all had the same experience of having to pay back HMRC + penalties and interest. But GJF keep their large fees and wash their hands. They know nothing about R&D. HMRC has cottoned on and is restricting claims made through either GJF or their many multiple linked companies.
They have zero interest in my paying back my loss.
They have tried to take down this review multiple times and others I have posted under other company names in the group.
Dont belive the 5 star reviews.
My advice would be that if you are approached by anyone offering to help you claim any kind of tax relief, check with your accountant or legal advisor before engaging them. If they can’t help then contact HMRC directly to check with them if you qualify as, if not, it’s you who has to face the consequences if HMRC find out you weren’t eligible for a tax relief you claimed incorrectly.

I regretted taking on GJF advise....
Green Jellyfish assured me that my R&D activities were eligible for a claim. Based on their guidance, I confidently submitted the claim and received a rebate from HMRC. However, it has come to light that HMRC's process involves issuing rebates first and investigating later. Unfortunately, upon investigation, it was determined that my claim was not eligible, and now I must return the rebate. The advice given by Green Jellyfish, which led me to proceed with the claim, has caused me considerable distress and countless sleepless nights.

R&D Claims
HI, I'm writing this review in hope that no other company suffers the way myself and other companies are doing in regards to R&D claims.
We along with many other companies who work in care have been mislead by Green Jellyfish, they stated that they were one of the leading companies dealing with R&D claims in this field and we were assured that if we dealt with Dementia patients we would qualify.
I did say to the agent that I believed the claim would be tenuous at best but they said no we have got this through for many care companies, sadly we agreed to go ahead.
Some time later sure enough Green Jellyfish delivered and paid me around £8000, after the claim was ratified by HMRC. Green Jellyfish kept the rest around £9,500.
About a month or two later HMRC sent me a letter saying that the claim had been dismissed and required repayment, upon which we paid our monies back.
We rang Green Jellyfish to inform them that we needed them to pay the HMRC the money back, they refused and continue to refuse to pay it back .
Just 20 minutes ago we had a conversation with HMRC after receiving a letter earlier today , they are adamant we have to reimburse the HMRC and pay the interest.
This situation has had a massive impact on my mental health and from what I have heard on many others as well. Good honest hard working individuals have succumb to this companies lies and misrepresentation of the narrative, we could have wrote this review in a more aggressive manner but I dont want the review to be taken down.
This is a heart felt genuine request that people take heed of this review and not get involved with this company, Green Jellyfish

1 star is 1 too many. Stay away from this company they sold themselves es to us as tax experts in the care sector and that couldn’t be further from the truth. We had a teams meeting where they gathered info about our company and they submitted an R&D claim to HMRC on our behalf we were awarded approx £30k and they took their commission however HMRC then found our claim non compliant and we had to pay back the full amount , GJF refused to pay back the commission leaving us £7k out of pocket. Numerous attempts made to reclaim this money during which they used stalling tactics and had us appeal using “their” law firm Kirby and Haslam. I requested many times to view my original claim but was told it wasn’t available or KH didn’t have it. My guess ( which I can not prove) is that the claim was not reflective of our original discussion and my business whatsoever and GJF went in aggressive to get the maximum tax rebate possible. I know we are not the only business they have done this too so my advice would be TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS
