Lost of all personal email folders and contacts
I was unexpectedly migrated to Greenby. For days, I had no emails at all. My old email provider, Plusnet told me to contact Greenby but the only way is to open a ticket which Greenby then ignored, sometimes for days. Eventually, they told me to delete my Outlook User ID and then rejoin. I did this and suddenly, new emails worked, but all my folders and contacts were missing. Greenby can't restore them and now says they must 'local' folders. But they never said anything about backing up my local folders. This is their fault but they won't even own the problem.
Absolute rubbish support
Absolute rubbish support - Asked to close account 8 days ago and advised by AI bot that ticket is in a queue. For 8 days ???? Only 1 star because I can't give zero. What was Plusnet thinking when they transferred email to Greenby ?
ARE GREENBY OUT OF THEIR DEPTH?
Reading other reviews ,mostly negative, I think they were lucky. In the migration process my plusnet email client disappeared from my iphone along with 30 or more mail box/folders. I have spent several hours tyring without any success to retreive them. Greenby simply either cannot help or cant be bothered. Ticket numbers are useless even when I get an "agent" on the chat they simply leave the chat when things prove too difficult. I have tried the complaints but have basically been told to " manage my expectations" . Does any one know how to get these people to pick up a phone and call one of their customers. At the moment I feel abandoned and have had no access to plusnet email on my iphone for over 2 weeks I am at my wits end. I cannot give a single date for this experience it has been going on for over a week now. I have had 3 "Ticket" numbers none of any help and am unable to get back to any of them. Agent Sajith has left me hanging on 2 occassions so good luck if he comes on your chat>

No information on the day
I was informed about the change from Plusnet to Greenby some time ago but it happened yesterday with no warning.
All was fine first thing when I signed into Plusnet webmail but when I tried later, the button for webmail had disappeared!
It took a long time to get it sorted with Plusnet
coming to my rescue.
Greenby had told me to check my email for their help which of course I couldn't access or my mobile phone. The latter of course didn't arrive!
The Greenby page format is not what I want and I am unable to change it! Overall, Greenby are useless, the change should never have happened for which I blame Plusnet. It was probably a cost saving exercise by them!
I will look elsewhere for a suitable provider, shame as I have been with Plusnet for over 20 years!

I have been using Plusnet for my broadband and emails for quite a time now and they have very stupidly decided to migrate their emails to this Mickey Mouse outfit. It has taken days to sort my email set up out and the customer service staff dont have a clue. They send you emails from a 'no reply' email address asking you to reply to it! They couldn't even find the brewery let alone organise the p***-up! If I could I would give them ZERO stars!

Being transferred from Plusnet to greenby without any choice in the matter and it's not going smoothly. Problems sending to some Gmail, MSN addresses and am told it's probably a DKIM problem which they are talking to BT about, problem been going on for weeks. Also one mailbox has been migrated and one hasn't, neither greenby nor Plusnet can tell me when it will be or when problems with webmail will be sorted out. Extremely frustrating and annoying.

I have already written a review on Greenby which wasn’t favourable. Like everyone else, I was migrated from Plusnet and had all the same issues as mentioned by everyone, spam, spam, spam, no amount of training the system works, all sorts of setting up problems, I could go on……….but I now want to say that I took the plunge to change my email address to another company. What a challenge! after having my Plusnet email address for decades, I have had to inform every company, banks, nhs, docs, etc, etc. Passcodes, links, approvals by phone and email, often getting sent into my junk box but after days of frustration and angst, I think I am nearly there and boy do I feel good but it was quite a mission and I truly feel I need some sort of compensation for what I have had to go through - fat chance…………Goodbye Greenby!
Greenby Support non existent with regards emails (ex Plusnet Customer)
I have been Plusnet customer for over 20 years and was told that my emails would be migrated to Greenby. I was experiencing problems with emails with Plusnet trying to send emails to recipients with Outlook.com addresses. Was told that Greenby would resolve this problem. Fat chance and No chance spring to mind as you cannot contact Greenby to talk to anybody. They hide behind their chatbot AI and provide excuses that your ticket is in a queue. Nothing more frustrating than not being able to speak to a person. Plusnet and Greenby are letting me down big time and this is affecting my ability to work as I do a lot of volunteer work that requires emails being issued and received. I currently have no confidence in Greenby. Today I am changing my score on Greenbee as there maybe some light at end of the tunnel. On the 20th of Feb I persevered with the online help and eventually a human responder to my problem and was able to help. I will be honest the Online Help still needs work on it as you need to understand when the Agents are online or are responding to you. It has taken a few days but problem I was having with outlook.com addresses may have been fixed. 🤞
GREENBY - What A Useless Company
Well I would be 0 on for this company, absolutely useless to the point of being abizmal.
3 months on and I still have no working email. They sent me instructions on how to correct the fault. That would be good if I was technically minded, but I'm not, which I told them about. I have now had to outsource the issue to a local company, who inform me, that the instructions they sent do not work and are useless - speaks volumes!!!
Surely if I had had a 5 minute phone call this could have been resolved quicker in stead if taking 3 months.
DO NOT use this company if you wish good technical support, find a good local company!!

It is impossible to get a response from Greenby as to why my emails from Plusnet ceased on 6th February when I was switching unknowingly to them .

I've had hundreds and hundreds of spam emails trying to sell Viagra and ED pills. I am an 80 yrs old pensioner and I find it offensive.
I'm not receiving the genuine emails which I have from doctors, nurse, hospitals NHS etc. and family and friends

I am also a reluctant mover to Greenby after plusnet finished its email service I’ve been with plusnet since 2005 never had a problem with email until it moved to Greenby since the day it took over it’s been nothing but problems unable to send or receive 90% of the time it’s totally unfit for purpose and you don’t have to look far to see I am not the only person who thinks this and the best bit is Greenby wants to charge you after two years .Greenby I am shocked you’re still in business
AAAAAAARGH! Stress and frustration.
At first glance my emails seemed to be sending, and in fact one did, whilst on a call to Plusnet, who guided me through the process as I have been having problems for ages - but nothing appeared in the sent box. And my subsequent messages haven't sent.
There is no-one to call.
One star because I am still receiving messages and because I can't leave anything less.
It's not even comforting to see that others have been struggling too as I wouldn't wish this stress and frustration on anyone. Good luck to you all!!
From what I can gather Greenby aren't a scam but they are small and struggling to cope. Shame on Plusnet for handling this so badly.

This is the third day without any emails being received since changing to Greenby it has been rubbish been with Plusnet for years without any issues but since the migration to Greenby everything has changed and not for the better at the moment it is free but they expect you to pay after 2 years I do not think so I will be ditching them as soon as I have my emails transferred to another company this is not doing Plusnet any favours what they have done to there customers appalling. A follow up i have closed my account and moved to a far better provider for free and it works without any issues whatsoever good riddance to Greenby.

I would give it a negative if I could, and frankly this bad move by PlusNet has me questioning my decades long loyalty to them. The email service under Greenby is a mess. Frequent failure to authenticate messages (presumably a Greenby outage - something that never happened under PlusNet), IMAP mailboxes just disappearing - the BIN and JUNK folders under my couple of email sub-addresses have just disappeared, and when I delete messages they just come back again. Yesterday I got nearly 200 messages BACK again after deleting them. I need to find an alternative, and clearly pay for it because Greenby are the worst mistake PlusNet have made
