Not impressed

Not impressed. The leave in part kept triggering the moisture alert. One cable didn’t work properly, kept kicking in an out. Waste of money

Extremely slow charger and broke easily

The concept of magnetic cable is good BUT...

The concept of magnetic cable connection is great.
When the cables and connectors are new they work very well.
However, after some time they for some reason lose their efficiency.
When I mentioned this on a previous occasion I was told that all items incur wear. I accept this, but the connectors are passive and after they have been inserted into your device they should not wear out as they are supposed to stay in place.
As a result of my previous experience I purchased another set of connectors and the problem still exists.
My wife has little patience with this type of thing and is pretty cheesed off that they don't work as promised.
Sorry but I won't be recommending these cables to anyone

Stay away!

So, firstly the cables are NOT automatically as advertised. An led cable usually refers to a charging light not disco lights but hey I understand some people don’t like sleep and may like this feature however! Purple, pink and blue as the main cable (flashing more expensive) cables are advertised do NOT make blue red and green! So false advertising, yes there is a tiny picture of all this but no real clarification on their page and I’ve checked with others who also state this is indeed false advertising.

Then! The cable would NOT stay charging. At first I was willing to exchange the cables but I was going to have to pay handsomely for that, then when they actually dont keep working that’s a FAULT problem. Given I have new (and half the price but much better) cables from another location that work great I know it is DEFINITELY a fault with the gotocables cables and bits.

I had to pay for return shipping and I lost a restocking fee which means some poor sod out there is going to get those dodgey cables. Given their customer service and honestly insanity, I didn’t pursue it further.

I did do their requested review. Shockingly it didn’t make it onto their website! Seems they only like to show happy customers with I think I saw 2(?) 4 star ratings so they like to deliberately mislead people.

Then today! About another month later, I get a request to do ANOTHER review for them! Seriously?

So clearly my advice is stay away from this company. There are the same option out there much cheaper, fast to arrive, good selection of heads etc and the other company actually works.

Update:

Note their response. I never said I didn’t get a refund just that I didn’t get a full one essentially and also that THEIR is false advertising and everyone I’ve spoken to agrees. But that’s the company you’d be dealing with! Just because I didn’t pursue it further never meant I was happy but again, that’s the company you’d be dealing with.

It’s just my opinion and I am entitled to it and have justified every component of my opinion.

I believe you have received a refund and this problem has been solved via email.

We do not believe in false advertising, and all products are advertised and sold as intended - much like this LED cable which is advertised and pictured with a GIF (moving image) on the products page.

These cables should be charging your iPhone 13 Pro Max, there must be underlying issues such as dust/debris inside your charging port causing these problems.

No longer working disappointed

I bought these and they worked ok for a while
Then they needed to be unplugged and plugged back on to get them to work
I have sent several emails with no response
These were only two months old when they started playing up
There is no phone number to call them
Disappointed with the service
Especially after the email thanking me for supporting an Australian business as soon as I purchased
Not what I expected from an Australian company

The magnetic heads are a wearing part and will need to be replaced over time, that is why we have them offered separately - consider them a consumable like many other things in life.

A great product

A great product, a reasonable price, fast delivery and a culture aimed at excellence.

I do have an issue though but I'm not sure if its the cable or the head unit in my vehicle that is at fault. I've had to glue the swivel on the cable I use in the car so it can't move. The slightest movement while driving of the knuckle will send micro signals of feedback that the head unit is extremely sensitive to. The result is that navigating and other apps will be disrupted and re start or pause. It's extremely annoying. I tried several different cables but it happens on all of them.

The fix that worked was by using hot melt glue to set the cable knuckle at 45 degrees so it couldn't move. It's not ideal but it did solve the issue.

For charging all other devices around the home this product really is fantastic.

Works as Promised

Works brilliantly and so easy now to charge everything. Love the extra long cable also. Would higly recommend, so much so I purchesed 2 more recently
