Moldy Cherries ($254.00)
I ordered Cherries ($254.00) that I was going to freeze for winter. The Cherries I received were covered with a slime and were moldy. I sent photos and an eMail to Good Hill Farms. I received and apology from the Moldy Cherries and was informed they get back to me in 24 hours to resolve my issue. I have sent several more eMails requesting a return shipping label and a refund. I have not received a response. DON'T BUY FROM GOOD HILL FARMS. NOTHING BUT A SCAM.
I am trying to cancel my order
I am trying to cancel my order, but they don't answer their phone. When I try to communicate with them, they won't let me send my message because they say "the phone number is not in the correct format." But they don't tell me what format they want, and their system won't let me change it.
I had asked for my fruit to be shipped on September 8th. It was supposed to be a special treat for my birthday. But they sent me an email saying the order was "complete" and would be shipped in August, on dates that have already passed.
At that point, unable to do anything more than send cancellation requests to their support email, I went to look at the reviews. Their reviews are terrible! People say that the fruit was spoiled, that they did not receive what they ordered, and that customer service is extremely poor. I feel like a fool. I can't contact them, have not received anything, and can't get a response from their support email. I even joined their subscription plan, to received discounts. I want them to cancel that, too.
Poorly shipped rotten fruit
I bought cherries and there was supposed to be a free honey mango. I’m in UT and they shipped from California. They shipped in a box with cutouts and 2 ice packs, the cut outs of course let any cold out and the package was delivered after 4 days (froghill farms is 2 day delivery) with the cherries steaming hot and every container had at least a few molded cherries. Overall only half the fruit was edible. The free mango was completely mushy black and inedible.
The worst
The worst ! Way overpriced, bought some mangoes for $120 and received same mangoes you get at Costco for $10, don’t buy from them
I ordered cherry plums
I ordered cherry plums. When they arrived, they were totally loose in the container. During shipment they all were completely bruised to the extent that they were mushy upon arrival. They were also very warm from the summer heat. The cost for my order, with shipping, totaled $88. I will not be placing any more orders. This was my first experience with Goodhill and I won't be a repeat customer.
Rotten, bruised fruit! Rip-off!!
I would rate Goodhill Farms a negative 10 stars if I could. Enticing, beautiful advertising made me believe their high prices were for high quality premium fruits. Mangoes were small & dried out & wrinkly. Peaches were bruised & overripe. I managed to trim a bite or two of peach off a few of them & gave the rest of my overripe & old garbage fruit to the raccoons that come to my back porch every night. I wasn’t sure they would even eat this overpriced, horrible quality fruit!! Don’t waste your time or money!! Rip-off scammers!!
This place is terrible
This place is terrible! They charge premium prices and sent me spoiled fruit! Then when I let them know this they decided to only refund 1/2 my purchase price! DO NOT ORDER from them they are absolutely terrible! I get quite a bit of fruit from mail order farms and Good Hill is the worst I have ever dealt with.
Yuck! Soft mushy “Rainer” cherries
Soft mushy “Rainer” cherries. I was not willing to share these with my visiting guests. Included were three passion fruit samples which were dried and wrinkled. They looked like plastic orbs. When I cut them open two were hollow and the skins were like leather. This was a weird experience that left me doubting good hill farm’s quality control. How could they even consider sending those?
Total waste of MONEY!
I had high expectations from Good Hill Farms given their premium pricing, but the experience was a letdown. A self-proclaimed cherry lover, I was excited to try their cherries. The shipment, however, contained a significant portion - around 75% - of bruised and overly soft cherries. The flavor profile was more tangy than sweet. Following the initial disappointment, Good Hill Farms reached out and offered a replacement shipment, which unfortunately, was even worse. The resolution they offered was a $75 credit against my $150 purchase. This doesn't align with their satisfaction guarantee promise. Considering the experience, I would recommend buying fruits from local stores where customers can handpick their produce. Good Hill Farms failed to impress.
I ordered 5 pounds of Rainier cherries…
I ordered 5 pounds of Rainier cherries because they are always sold out in local stores and I love them with all of my heart. I brought the box inside as soon as it was delivered. Almost all the cherries were warm, mushy and rotting. The few that were still edible weren't even very good. It's been almost a week and the company still hasn't responded yet.
Fruit was overripe
Really expensive fruit. Free cherries were overripe. Peaches were still crunchy but brown spots when cut open. Asian pears are ok but nothing special that was advertised as such. The honey was very good though.
GOODHILL FARMS LAWSUIT
These order packers of garbage fruit need financial consequences. I am in the beginning stages of filing a class action lawsuit against this fraud of a company. I would like all who have been wronged by them to write me so I can make you a member of the class action I/We will be taking towards them. Please respond to this review just with your want to participate. Do not share any personal contact information at this time and on this forum, Once we have enough members for the class I will have my attorney take it from there. They must be held accountable. I am disabled and on a severely limited income and the cherries I purchased were my treat for a 4th of July party, needless to say I arrived with a bag of chips as the cherries were inedible and an embarrassment. I have written to them several times with no response. Who is with me? There will be no cost to those who choose to participate. Once we win there will be a few dollars for each member of the class. As with all Class Action Lawsuits the attorneys are the only ones that win. I am not an attorney. Thanks for reading this. I look forward to the replies.
What a kick in the gut.
What a kick in the gut.. I ordered the medium “Intro to Exotics” box which is described to be 5lbs of fruit (6+ different fruits in each box). According to them the fruits In season: mango, cherimoya, persimmon, dragon fruit, specialty avocado and citrus, pomegranate, papaya, sapote, guava and more! They also advertised my free gift would be some fresh cherries.
Sounds amazing and the pictures were beautiful.
Guess what I got.. just guess..
ONE papaya and a little plastic container of rotten cherries for $139.
What makes it worse is that this was a gift!
Terrible service was suppose to get my…
Terrible service was suppose to get my fruit by a certain date didn't get week later after the date it was supposed to be delivered and half of the fruit was rotten
Negative Stars.
Negative Stars.
One box of fruit has never arrived after two weeks. I have asked to cancel this order and refund my money.
The other box of fruit arrived covered in large green flies. No way that I could eat this fruit. Probably infested with eggs. I have killed more than 30 flies in my house and there are still more flying around. I have requested a refund of my money
Very disappointed. This fruit is very expensive and I was hoping for a better experience.
Box of Cherries finally arrived 5 Days after they shipped. (They advertise shipments within 1 to 2 day) You can imagine what Ranier cherries looked like after shipping to Texas in 100 degree weather. Box of rotted fruit.
I filed complaint with my credit card company and money was refunded.
This was complete and total rip off
This was complete and total rip off. False advertising, crap quality, and some slow person in customer service who can’t just give me the refund I deserve. None of the fruit was edible.
Say NO to Good Hill Farm
I can’t really explain how poorly this shipment was packaged. The box was aerated and looked like it had been transported overland by pickup truck and tossed onto my front porch from a distance. The rainier cherries had been boxed in plastic but they had broken open in transit. The cherries made their way through the rest of the box, along with the peaches, until they were quite squashed and bruised. The only things edible were the 2 mangos due to their thick skin and the 2 blood oranges but one of the oranges already had mold on the stem end. My advice? Avoid this business like the plague. I flat out wasted around $250 and I’m sick about it.
I paid extra money to get recd…
I paid extra money to get recd products/ I never received them/ they want me to continue paying monthly fee / never received product/I had to cancel my credit card so that they would no longer be able to get to my funds/ they suck and is liars
Rotten fruit at premium prices
Rotten fruit at premium prices. And no customer service.
I received rainier cherries and I think…
I received rainier cherries and I think the packing is worth more than the cherries. I've purchased better cherries at supermarket. Cherries were all, scarred bruised and some were rotten. Also found package of bing cherries, which I did NOT order.
This place is a scam and a ripoff. People who operate this kind of money grabbing business don't care about the customer. They care only about money. So I think my chances of getting a refund are nil. As I said, I should have read the reviews, but I did not. Hard lesson learned. Just stay clear of these scammers and save your money.
