there email address on the letter they sent is invalid. the email address on their website is invalid. called the call centre, who then transferred me to speak to an advisor, but went through to a hold pattern as their advisors do not work Saturdays despite the letter saying they are open Saturday 9am to 3pm.

What an absolute joke of a company. I decided to use GB as they seemed to be a big professional company but in truth they are anything but this. I initiated my ppi claim with them online weeks ago, received the paperwork filled it in and sent it off straight away. Then last Saturday I had a letter from them saying they had not had my signed authority back and to do it digitally on the link provided, the problem being I have received no texts or emails and no links. I decided to phone them and after 1hr 10 mins managed to get through, explained the situation and was promised that an email would be sent so that I could do what was needed. 2 days later and nothing, I have since emailed unsuccessfuly and rang again another 3 times to be "promised" that it would be done but still I have had nothing from them. The last time I called I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but was told there were none in.!!!! I now go on holiday tomorrow with the problem still unresolved and the likely outcome that the deadline will pass without my claim being lodged in time. Avoid this totally unprofessional company At ALL COSTS.

Try this company I did and got very good results glad i gave them a go cannot fault them

claim not finalised yet and probably never will be as 3 calls in 3 weeks in response to 16 texts from them has got me no closer to sorting out their problem. Texts ask for forms I've never had to be returned, and provide links that don't work. Call centre operators don't resend as promised/tell me there's nothing outstanding. My online account contains nothing. Every call means a wait time of 30 minutes. No response to online posts. You can't email. They are hopeless. I pity anyone going through them. Dale Evans W3 7SG:

From the start of the process to the end results they did a good job, hassle free, didn't expect to recieve anything, but was suprised when i did,even paying the fees at the end was simple

Excellent service, they found 3 claims and I received over £3000 back, which was unexpected. Friendly and informative. I put off doing this for years as I thought it would be a lot of hassle, but only took a few short phone calls and completion of an on line form, so painless really and well worth it in the end!

Was pleasantly surprised when Gladstonebrookes found I have had PPI in the past. 2 of my cases were dealt with very smoothly , 1 of them was a little bit haphazard - letters not arriving then receiving duplicate paperwork for items that should have been changed. But overall a good service for something I did not know I had

Not over impressed with the service, being passed to another company to investigate wasn’t what I wanted. The fee I had to pay was higher than I expected as they take off 20% off the top figure before the government take their cut so it works out to around a quarter off what you get. In hindsight I would of rather took time out and contacted the banks etc myself

I wouldn’t use this company due to the condescending attitude of their TV ads, which makes me change channels!
I can’t wait until the end of this month when these adverts will hopefully cease.

Biggest bunch of cowboys out there. Do not go through these scumbags. Go direct to the banks or card companies yourself and claim for ppi.
Gladstone will fleece you for any successful claim and the amount of work they do in no way justifies the fee.
They are thriving scum. Avoid.

Great service. I was convinced I had avoided PPI but after a chat with Gladstone Brooke’s I decided to ask them to check it out for me. To my dismay they’ve secured refunds with interest from four different lenders - enough to fund a top quality holiday for all the family. Very efficient, never pushy. You could do it all for yourself of course but it’s worth the fee to have GB take all the hassle

Mostly friendly staff. A few bored sounding ones. Average speed in dealing with accounts. All in all, the job was done.

I decided to go with Gladstone Brookes as they advertised on TV. TV ads give me more confidence as it is expensive and only the most reputable companies usually go in for this.

At all points during my claim process, everything was made clear and easy. The staff were always courteous and helpful. No pressure was put on me at any time. I was always kept up-to-date with the process.

I am pleased with the result of their efforts and glad that I chose to go with them. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
