Didn't like the design and support didn't reply
I created a website on GETTINGMARRIED for our wedding but it was really confusing and just didn't work very well. I emailed them but never heard back 😩
Contrast this with signing up to another wedding website provider, emailing them and receiving a reply instantly and it being super helpful, and me being happier with my design on the other one.

We had a few issues with our site once they moved to their new platform, but this was sorted quickly and efficiently by Jess - and saved us a third re-print of invitations! Brilliant customer service, thank you Jess!

Farcical, uncaring, time wasting
I tried to log in to my old account today because we've had to change our wedding plans due to Covid. This is already a stressful time.
Turns out, gettingmarried.co.uk updated its wedding website without notifying existing account holders, so I couldn't even log in to my old account, which kept 'processing' its page instead of letting me log in.
So I emailed the gettingmarried.co.uk tech support team, who told me my original page had no personalised URL or wedding date - that was just a plain lie. The unhelpful support person told me to just create a new account, undoing the hours of work my partner and I put into the old account.
So I did.
Then I found that not only was our original theme gone, but now you can't add a location outside of the UK - a UK postcode is required - and you can't even add bespoke pictures so the new website looks plain and boring.
Absolutely disgusted with this treatment and poor service and quality.
A massive waste of my time, and adding insult to injury.
We had to create a whole new site using hitched.co.uk and found it was much superior to the original anyway!
Edit to add response: gettingmarried added a factually incorrect response to my original post, which I cannot reply to. I made a new account on the instructions of the tech support, which is why I had 2 accounts. The email address issue was not substantive, but it is weird to me that they couldn't find the account using my email address (which was in fact the primary address) and rather needed my partner's email address (his was the secondary address). I was informed by gettingmarried that I could not amend my old account - the one they say is 'intact' - to reflect a new wedding date, rendering it completely useless. Further, the 'temporary glitch' of postcodes was not fixed at the time I raised it with them. I don't appreciate being made out to look like the problem was mine, and not their crummy site and poor user service.

MY FIANCEE IS IN TEARS!
My Fiance spent countless days creating her website with you, she put her heart and soul into it, and then today you send her an email informing her that you are going to delete her website on Dec 1st and she will have to pay £100 to move it to your new website?!?!?!
You lied in your email multiple times to justify doing this. She can't even log into her account anymore!
What horrible, nasty, underhand tactics you use! She's in bits, I hope you're happy!

I booked a room for a friends wedding though the website they set up with them that sadly has been cancelled due to Covid and weeks later I’m still waiting for a refund... The odd reply saying it’s being chased but it’s not on.

I’m sorry but trying to design a webpage on your site has been the biggest headache of our wedding planning so far!
The formatting needs looking at badly. We only wanted to create a simple basic website so our guests could see the venue details and use the RSVP option. No fancy intro to the bridal party or gift list, just quick and basic. I am in no way a Technophobe but I found this so difficult and in the end stressful. It seems that the less information you require on your webpage, the more difficult it is to achieve a lay out that flows on the page. Our webpage had huge gaps and space between our information boxes and it looked very silly. I did receive a reply from one of your colleagues when I reported the problem, but it kept happening, so I sent a second email following the problem up, but we didn’t hear anything from you.
We have been waiting patiently as we understand these are difficult times, but it has also delayed us sending out our paper invites. In the end we gave up waiting. I have now designed a webpage elsewhere and I’m sorry to say but have had a far better experience. The down side is, that we have also had to redesign out invitations so we can put the new website address on them for our guests to see. This has cost us more money and now time too as we’ll have to wait for them to be posted to us before our guests get to receive them.
I am also having trouble deleting my account/unfinished webpage from your site as I no longer need it. It just keeps telling me that to log in, when I am logged in already?! Please could you confirm to me that you have removed my account and webpage from your site as I can’t seem to work it out myself.
I am sorry to leave such a bad review in these uncertain times, but I can only be honest about our experience and I hope you will take my comments on board.

Our wedding was cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak on a very short notice. I had one gift purchased with Prezola through Getting Married website. I have contacted Getting Married team and they were almost impossible to contact. Weeks later I received a cold email saying they will close my wedding website and will contact Prezola to verify my gift purchase. 4 weeks later I was still waiting for verification. My further emails were ignored. No gift was ever sent and my communication was not acknowledged. I understand that COVID-19 outbreak has affected businesses but acknowledgment would have been nice but I was kept n the dark instead. After all my attempts to contact Getting Married failed I contacted Prezola directly and they got that sorted in under 10 minutes and my gift has been ordered and will be dispatched soon. Looks like it was an easy task but Getting Married team just were ignorant. There are plenty of other wedding website companies with better customer service we can use!

Great for what we needed
Great for what we needed - no issues that we encountered. Couldn't ask for anything better from a free website builder allowed us to get information out to our guests easily, guests to RSVP, ride sharing function was great as well as the ability to export spreadsheets. Would definitely recommend!

A great tool - made planning a dream.
A great tool. So easy to use and quick to add, edit and interact with the various tabs and options. Helped us keep on track of our spending and our upcoming dates.
And of course the countdown was the most used tool as we eagerly anticipated the big day!

Generally good but some glitches
Generally good especially for a free site. Some issues with formatting which meant building our site took much longer than necessary & there are limitations on things like fonts so our site didn’t quite look how we wished it did but no one other than us would know.
There was quite a big problem with guests being able to access the live site as sometimes the website address inexplicably doesn’t work for some people & although I contacted Getting Married no one got back to me to advise.
Overall good, fairly straightforward but some glitches and we will continue to use it now that our wedding has been COVID-19 postponed.
