I had a great experience using Better Off for my estate planning. The process was really simple and quick—I was able to finish everything in about 20 minutes. The guided questions made it easy to understand, and I never felt overwhelmed or confused.

What I liked most was how straightforward and stress-free it was. Estate planning can seem like a hassle, but this made it way easier (and a lot cheaper) than going to a lawyer. Everything was clear, and I felt confident that my documents were done right.

If you’ve been putting off making a will or trust because it seems complicated, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try!

Better Off did a fantastic job of taking a complicated but necessary part of life and making it a straight forward, clear process. I like how Better Off broke up the monumental task of planning for the worst into manageable pieces that I could consider individually.

The design is very simple and easy to navigate. It was quick to get started, and easy to jump right back in. I’d love if they came in multiple languages, so I can have my parents use this too!

I recently dealt with the passing of my parents. I was surprised to learn that my parents only had a simple will through Legal Zoom, since I was not the original executor. I had to hire an attorney, and it took me about a year and a half to unravel everything. I also have brothers that were in the will and it was more than frustrating trying to make sure everything was executed properly and without issues. I truly wish my parents had something like Better Off for their legal documents, then everything would have been spelled out clearly in advance. I personally set up my will through Better Off. I logged in expecting it to be a lengthy process. I was very pleased how straightforward and simple the program is and how it prompts you to all the topics you need to consider when doing a will or trust. I have recommended Better Off to several of my friends and brothers as well, and they all have expressed the need to get their own documents in place. Hopefully they take action so they do not put someone in the position I was in when with my parents passed.

The desktop experience is well-designed and polished. The questionnaire is streamlined and easy to understand. The entire process is quick and snappy, and the attention to detail allows me to trust this company. It feels good to take care of the important questions, and Better Off made it simple.

As a young adult with a long term partner Better Off was a great option for us. While no one likes to talk about the worst happening, having documentation does provide us a lot of security and clarity. Better Off was a great tool for us to use to springboard conversation about medical and financial decisions, and then commit those wishes to paper.

Some of the scenarios prompted by the platform were situations that I had never considered before, and I now feel more at ease knowing that my partner won’t have to make those decisions on their own. Instead they will know exactly what measures I would or wouldn’t want taken at various stages of a medical emergency.

The platform itself was easy to use and the directions were clear. I am sure you could get through the questionnaire quickly if you were confident in your wishes. However I found the questions to be thought provoking in the best way, which meant it did take some time for me to complete. I am sure that as our lives continue to change that we will use Better Off to keep our documentation updated.

Really simplified the process of doing what none of us want to do but all of us should, planning for our departure. Very intuitive, asks questions in very clear language and the design is very clean and easy to navigate.
I completed advance directive, medical power of attorney and will on my phone in under 30 minutes. I noticed one name error, and they fixed it right away. Communication was clear and notary commented how easy the paperwork was to navigate.
