Had my t roc r trailered in to german autocentre in limp mode told them problem overheating etc same problem 6 months earlier with previous owner even gave them fault code poob7 (initially booked in for £900 service)picked up next day they said problem was low fuel in tank in past chucked fault code yeah right and charged £125 to diagnose this code which doesn't even exist told me to drive away and when I break down have it towed to them and they will investigate what a bunch of cowboys never use again went to autohaus dolby replaced water pump and thermostats bob on.Update regarding reply from german autocentre fault code must have being stored and whether sporadic or not you dont send people away knowing they could break down at 70mph on a motorway without investigating when you have the car at your garage especially when I tell you the stored code and previous owner had same problem 6 months previous

Watch out for painted parts!

A car spray company have advised for the parts to be resprayed as the first time was a cheap, quick job to get a car sold.
We had been happy but can't trust them in the future, sneaky people!!!
I brought the car to GAC in mid April…
I brought the car to GAC in mid April for review of an engine rattle together with the EPC and engine management lights, which I suspected were timing-chain related. You diagnosed a stretched timing chain that had jumped, quoted £2,300 for a full replacement, and I approved that work on the clear understanding that it would resolve the symptoms I presented with.
After the timing chain was replaced, you confirmed the timing was now correct and the main engine management light was off — yet the rattle persisted exactly as before, and the EPC light comes on intermittently. At that point, you advised replacing the cam bridge gauze (which you inspected and said was faulty), and I reluctantly approved the additional £500 which i had to borrow, because I needed the car urgently and trusted your expertise as a German car specialist.
Despite that second intervention, the rattle has not been resolved. You then suggest the inlet camshaft “might” need replacing for a further £2,000. At this stage I declined any more work, as the original problems have not been fixed after £2,900 spent and multiple stages of parts replacement.
While I accept that complex engine issues on these TFSI engines can sometimes reveal additional faults once the primary timing problem is addressed, the core issue I paid to have resolved — the persistent engine rattle and intermittent EPC light — remains as well as the Engine Warning light.. In my view, this goes beyond a reasonable “step-by-step diagnostic approach.” The work carried out has not delivered the repair I was led to expect, and the symptoms that brought the car in are still present.
You have suggested that further work on the vehicle can be done for an additional £1000 which may resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I do not have an inexhaustible amount of funds and had I know the parts cannon approach was going to be adopted from Day 1, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If you're a gambling person who likes to roll the dice with your vehicle, by all means chance your luck with this outfit. As for myself, I'm out of pocket to the tune of nearly £3000 with the vehicle as problematic with warning lights lighting up my display as before.
I have no choice but to seek independent legal advice and pursue a formal remedy, which may include a partial refund of the £2,900+ or through the Motor Ombudsman / small claims process. What a bloody headache.
Cheaply sprayed alloys/chrome work
Bought a car this time last year. Customer service was good while going through the buying process.
However, the alloys, front grill and roof bars are peeling with paint. Messaged the contact I bought the car from a couple of times and no response. Expensive car ruined due to poor paintwork.

Unprofessional Customer Service

Despite my chasing up via email the company have totally ignored me.
When I raised the issues via WhatsApp I was told my vehicle's part exchange value was too low and of no use to them.
So, instead of suggesting I sell private (with the reasons why) and arrange a viewing date, the company simply decided to ignore me. I have today received an arrogant WhatsApp messages explaining why I was no longer of use to them.

Great customer service
They are so helpful and friendly and I was sat waiting and they kept going to check on the cars progress to give me an update. They went through all the future needs of my car and answered any questions I had. Customer service is great and I won't go to another garage now
Do not follow the law
Purchased a car online with the assurance that as per distance selling law we have 14 days to return. Car was delivered by a driver which we paid for, once here many faults were spotted but we were told as he was just an independent driver he had to leave to get the train. After numerous phone calls and emails. I have now received an email saying we 'accepted ' the car when delivered so 14 day return does not apply. Spoke to citizens advice and Sheffield trading standards who advised they have to accept the return. Emailed many times with evidence etc. No reply 'Wade' who sent the email can not be reached and only he 'can authorise. Be aware of this company all about the sales and then refuse to follow the law. So disappointing with other good reviews but as always this seems false. AVOID

Rattling noise from son mini, these guys diagnosed immediately costed the repair and when we got the car back it sounds like it’s brand new and drives great.

Bought a 2022 Q2 from here today and the service from Rob and the team were unparalleled to anywhere else ive ever purchased a car.
From start to finish the process was smooth and easy, Rob was extremely helpful and dealt with everything for me just told me where and what to sign, he turned the car around in an extremely short time frame for me so I was able to pick up when I needed it and drive away completely happy.

Brett, Gary and the whole team consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. They always take the time to clearly explain the work needed in advance, stick to their promised timelines, and keep me updated throughout. I recently had my MOT done here and, as always, nothing was too much trouble.
It’s excellent value for money, and if you need to stay mobile, you can book a courtesy car in advance – super convenient. The customer area is friendly and welcoming too – I sometimes bring my laptop and get some work done while I wait if it’s a quick job. Great coffee and Biscoffs are a lovely touch!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else – top-notch service from start to finish.

Amazing Service, and great people to deal with
I can absolutely see why German Auto Centre has thousands of great reviews. I was referred by Mr Din at Apollo Prestige to get my Land Rover Range Rover serviced and checked over. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. I dealt with Abbie, Brett, and Steve — all of whom went above and beyond to get everything sorted and kept me fully informed about any issues they found during the health check.
The place is spotless, the team is professional, and they actually take the time to explain things clearly, which I really appreciated. Pricing was, in my opinion, more than fair for the quality of service and peace of mind they deliver.
