I've stuck with BackCountry since free shipping and I know I can return the items. I have found a few items to be not quite what I expected (shorts listed at 32 were 32-34 expandable; one shirt didn't list that the check pattern on back was uneven across the shoulder seam). When I tried an independent seller they (the seller) just cancelled my order. GearTrade notified me and asked for input so it appears they weed out the bad sellers.

I have found good deals there and will continue to shop through GT.

GearTrade is awesome. There's almost no sense in buying something new when you can get it very slightly used for a good discount....Kinda like a used car.

items are as described and shipping is fast.

Shoes arrived within week of purchase. They were exactly as described - barely used with only minor signs of previous wear. These shoes have preformed wonderfully and as needed. They were the only pair of shoes I used for a 40+ mile loop in the Aldo Leopold Wilderness. I recommend both the seller and these shoes.

Just like Backcountry's awesome return policy for snowboards was destroyed by idiots abusing it, a similar thing has started to happen to Geartrade. Once a great place to get returns from Backcountry at fantastic prices, now small board shops are listing all of their new inventory on Geartrade. I have bought close to 10 boards in the past few years from Geartrade, but I don't even bother to visit the site anymore with all the full price new gear you have to wade through.. Sad.

Bought a pair of my favorite hiking pants from Marmot - These were listed as being in "excellent" condition. I wasn't sure what to expect, never having ordered anything from GearTrade before. But took a chance because the price was good and this particular style is being discontinued and therefore hard to find. The order arrived to my home in a very short time, well packaged and clean. They fit perfectly and truly ARE in excellent condition. I will definitely order from GearTrade again based on this experience.

I had a question about the sizing of the pack, and it was answered soon after. I then placed the order and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I hope it arrives soon. I would have liked to have used it for the long weekend. Happy Labor Day everyone.

Good transaction / Good Price. Item as described except for one missing bolt.

I ordered a running watch from GearTrade and got it for 50% off the retail price. I was really impressed at how reliable the system was; my package arrived the day it was supposed to, and the watch was in really good shape. I didn't feel misled or confused throughout the whole process. I'm definitely going to use GearTrade as a source to find more gear!

The only complaint I have is you loose your search every time you look at an item. It really makes shopping slow. I am always satisfied with I get on GearTrade.com

I've ordered gear off this site for the last 5 years. Over 15 purchases and never had a problem. I've actually had the opposite and have had gear show up better then described!!! A+++

I received new snow pants with tags attached. They're better than expected. The description said they had lint on them and would need to be washed. They look clean to me! Perfect pants for less than half price. Love!

What a fantastic place to check when ebay is just not cutting it...or maybe a place to check BEFORE even going to ebay!

I just wish there was more items for sale from people this is a great plat form to buy used outdoor gear. I will use them again and again
