GearTrade is a great resource to pickup good quality gear. They are my first choice for my outdoor supplies. I have been very happy with my purchases and do not have any reservations about recommending this site.

I have ordered several things off of GearTrade and received them quickly with no hassles and great prices. I check website regularly for things I'm looking for.

I think the website is user friendly, I have got some seriously great deals. I'm just starting to think I about selling some gear I don't use since gear trade is such a reliable site.

I was in need of some new hiking boots, put in a search for a used pair and bam! up comes GearTrade with one set of the boots I was looking for and they happened to be in my size! I had never used GearTrade before but the price was right (about 1/2 off retail for slightly used Salomon boots) so I bought them. The boots showed up a few days later - exactly as shown in the pictures - and I am a very happy customer.

I got my package in just a few days and it was just as I expected.

just minus the return policy, thats why i took 1 star off.

you probably should let the buyer talk to the seller about the return policy.

I love the idea that this is primarily the site for Backcountry's returns and damaged goods. You know their products are authentic and you can find some decent deals on quality outdoor gear. Unfortunately, the search engine is just terrible. You type in a few key words in the search bar and it brings back garbage. Honestly, its probably the worst search tool I have ever used on any site. I even took the time to contact customer service a year or so ago and I defined the issue in a way that they could easily replicate the horrible results. They responded saying that's the way it is and I should try another method to search. Try it -- type "XL Jacket" in the search box, then sort by "price lower" and see what comes back on the first page. I'm left truly bewildered. So I go less often to their site and search through their offerings less often...not really knowing if I'm actually seeing/finding the products I'm most interested in.

I ordered a new water vest I had been looking for at half the price of other internet retailers. I was a little nervous to try it but everything I was told about the item and the delivery were handled perfectly. I would use the site again.

If you're buying anything from Backcountry.com on this website, expect honest conditions and lightning fast shipping with an amazing price. I love this website!

I use it only because Backcountry/Competitive Cyclist list lots of returned and barely used gear, and they always give very accurate thorough description+free super-fast shipping. It's like the outlet of Backcountry/CS's outlet. There're good deals from individual sellers, but most of the gear they list either has a lot of wear or inadequately priced, sometimes both.

Have great gear! I recommended this highly!

I have loved every transaction on this site.

I enjoyed the variety of goods available on the site. The system works well. I ordered three items, and two of the the three didn't ship. I didn't get billed, but it was still frustrating to wait for the items, only to find out the seller didn't have them. Good way to save money if you are not in a hurry to get the items.

I have used Gear Trade to buy and sell for several years and it has been a good experience all around. My only complaint is that It takes a while to get paid and that there is no direct deposit option.

I've never had a bad experience on geartrade. Great all around.

GearTrade.com is a great place to buy or sell good sporting goods items but a couple things could be better. When you make an offer on an item it takes forever for the seller to respond & it's almost always rejected. If you do buy something there is almost no communication from the seller, you just hope that it shows up.

Have no hesitation shopping here.The site is owned by Backcountry, a reputable company.
