My daughter was needing some support to help her with her confidence leading up to the English Language papers, so we bought the Paper 1 course and booked Sophia's pre exam night support sessions for both papers for the mock and final exams. My daughter was writing at a reasonably high level before the mock stage, but the support sessions and Sophia's friendly, personal way of teaching gave her extra clear guidance on the techniques and structure for both papers, which she spent time practicing, giving her more confidence and when it came to the results - she got a 9 for Language, aswell as Literature! Sophia always responded quickly to emails or questions and made my daughters Language revision feel like less of a challenge - we would like to thank Sophia for her part in my daughters GCSE journey!

My dyslexic son was so concerned with not achieving a pass in English averaging a 3/4 in mocks and being held back from progressing his education but with Sophia’s GCSE revision courses not only did he pass, he achieved a grade 6 in English language and 5 in literature. We are all still on cloud 9! Her courses were not only engaging but prepared him for the structure and requirements of each question.

Sophia is a fantastic online tutor for English, she provides excellent revision guides and helped both my sons to achieve 2 grades higher than they were predicted. Her classes are fun but practical, full of useful tips and tricks for studying and she genuinely cares about the students. Can't recommend her highly enough!

My son has dyslexia and was predicted to get a 3 for English Literature and a 3/4 for English Language .
With low confidence he would not attend the live classes but the recordings from the Easter and Revision classes enabled him to have a structure when answering the longer questions ,to recognise where has was wasting time repeating himself or not answering the question but mainly they enabled him to go into the exams confident and with a plan .
The end outcome was a grade 6 in Literature and a grade 5 in Language meaning he now has a choice of A Levels or a college course .
I would absolutely recommend to any parents of children with dyslexia as the recorded sessions can be watched at the child’s own pace and areas of difficulty can be revisited as required .

Sophia is very adaptable to my son’s learning style (hates writing with pens, easily distracted) and she keeps on engaging him for the whole lesson with continual encouragement, challenge and step-by-step guidance.
