I purchased 2 GCI pico chairs from Amazon in 2024. Both chairs fell a part within 9 months. Contacted Amazon and they told me the chairs had a lifetime warranty. I contacted GCI outdoors and was told that they haven't made this chair for 4 years. I went though the process of sending them pictures of the receipt and damaged areas.
They accepted my claim and offered a rocking chair with a low to the ground seat.
They also told me to destroy the seats and send them pictures.
Don't buy from GCI outdoors.
I bought 2 comfort pro rockers 2 years ago, had a problem with one and and was able to return it where I bought it. I then developed a problem with the other chair and worked directly with the company. The experience I had working with the company was outstanding! Great customer service and support! I would buy these chairs again if I ever need more. It was a great experience working with a company who stands behind their products and was a painless process to get the product replaced.
I bought 2 GCI rockers last year. We are an older couple and are not very difficult on furniture. One of my chairs the material is falling apart. I talked to customer service and found that your company is not very good at customer service. I will never purchase a GCI product again.
Chair is easy to set up. The seat is not very deep.
We bought 4 of the GCI rocker outdoor chairs about 3 yrs ago. Two were gifts. These are NOT cheap chairs! Purchased them at Dicks Sporting Goods. The cheap rubber binding along the canvas has now turned to dust! We can’t even use the chairs because they get the dust all over our clothing! I wrote to the company and they want the original sales receipt, photos of the tags on the chairs, and photos of the chairs plus other stuff! Who keeps receipts for 3 yrs?! We would have to add another closet to our house to keep 3 yrs of receipts! The company has no interest in helping us with this problem. I am certain that these were not the ONLY 4 chairs that this happened to. NEVER EVER BUY from them!
I ordered two chairs directly from their website. One chair arrived without the trim ring around the cup holder (leaving just the ragged stitching exposed). I contacted the via their customer service email and asked them to send a trim ring that I would just pop in myself. That became an ordeal because they couldn't do that (presumably because all of the parts are in China? - I dunno.) Thinking it would be an easy-peasy part for them to send, I trashed the boxes after quadruple checking them to make sure the trim piece didn't just fall out in the box. The problem now is, among other things, the boxes are "required" for a return, that I would be required to pay return shipping for - per their website. Their email response is that I would have to submit a warrantly claim with their warranty depart (because apparently customer service doesn't assist with that). That warranty process requires pictures of the chairs which I already took to my vacation cabin - so they aren't available to photograph for months. UGH!!! Ridiculously crappy response from them. Terrible customer "service". Other than looking like crap, the chairs are nice is you get everything you're supposed to in the condition it should arrive in.
Do not, I repeat do not order from this company. I ordered 2 chairs 2 1/2 weeks ago, I received a confirmation email that my order was received. A few days later they withdrew the money from my account I assumed, even though I never received an email for shipping that they were on the way. It’s been 2 weeks sunce the money was withdrawn from my account. I have sent 2 emails to their customer service with no response to either email. Very disappointed
I have two rocker chairs with bad fabric. The fabric splits as if it was subjected to bleach. I followed their warranty procedure and after 7 weeks they wanted more pictures and hand written notes.They try to make people believe stuff is manufactured in Ct. no it's China
I was tired of the uncomfortable bag chairs I bought this and it works wonderfully packs up flat and it rocks extremely well-built can hold a little extra weight and it has nice handles for carrying. This is not going to be a chair that you're going to fall asleep in.
