There are schools that claim they teach the whole child, meaning provide strong academic and meet the child where they are emotionally and socially. But let me tell you from firsthand experience, as a parent whose child has anxiety and some learning differences, no school actually delivers on that promise better than Fusion Academy Pasadena, Downtown. There are a lot of good schools out there, but only Fusion Academy Pasadena, Downtown has the structure, vision, the most beautiful and caring teachers you will ever find working hard for their students. There is no ego about teachers wanting to get through their curriculum as they want to teach it or as mandated by the school, but rather they focus on how to best teach the material for each student’s benefit and success. That is what our child experienced at Fusion Academy Pasadena -Downtown. But it also starts with great leadership, and Ruth Park is an exceptional head of school. She is kind, truly cares for the students, and will always make it her priority to make sure your student gets a solid academic education but also has a fun experience at school, offering social events for the entire community, volunteer opportunities for students, lots of fun field trips, and social-emotional workshops, etc. My child is graduating this year, and we have the staff and teachers at Fusion Academy Pasadena, Downtown to thank for it. We love you Fusion Academy Pasadena, Downtown, and will always credit you for helping our child achieve this milestone!

As a parent of a neurodivergent, gifted teen, I can say that this school has changed my child's life. This is a school like no other. The care, the understanding, acceptance and high academic standards that the teachers and staff possess is unrivaled. This is a school that caters to each child/teen's academic needs. It offers a bespoke educational experience that has allowed my child to thrive in academic excellence whereas other schools have made his past experiences very difficult. If you have a child that may be a bit of a square peg that traditional educational institutions (both public and private) have tried to force into a round hole, then Fusion may be the solution for you as it has been for us.

I felt my daughter was supported and engaged in the material she was studying during the summer. I will take her back next summer.

Our son had some traumatic experiences just before entering High School. Ultimately, the campus was too big and he had trouble adjusting which was affecting his grades. We were so thrilled to find Fusion Academy - Pasadena Downtown. The gift of having one-on-one teaching, homework club and a small student body gave our son the ability to focus on learning. He turned his grades around and Ruth Park along with her staff, provided the kind of support our son needed. He will be returning to Public High School, however, I believe he matured during his time at Fusion which is allowing him the opportunity to take advantage of a larger high school experience with friends, football games and dances. Again, if he doesn't thrive at the new HS, he will be finishing out his education at Fusion. Definitely a 5 star experience!

I am glad we decided to enroll Zymari here… he was reluctant as it interrupted his summer BUT in the end his words to another parent “Fusion was actually fun and not bad.”

while I am happy my child found a place to learn math and earn the credit needed to graduate from high school, I have to say the price charged is insanely high. You really have parents over a barrel and it’s fairly predatory.

So grateful to have found this educational model and faculty. The energy and caring is off the charts. Fusion has really come through for us.

My son had 4 core classes to make up over summer after missing months of class due to an injury. Fusion staff met him with compassion, amazing individual attention, and a genuine interest in helping him succeed. We could not be happier with the results!

Fusion Academy has been a great fit for our son. Their one on one education program has helped him thrive academically. He feels successful and is confident. Fusion keeps their academic portal up to date so our son knows what he needs to do and we can see his progress. The teachers are engaging and the administrative staff have been helpful in getting him set up as a student and making sure he has a clear path to graduate.

In our experience, the staff and educators are all respectful of the students. Everyone has been helpful and communicative, making our son's experience about education and not about tests.

Entire transition and process was very smooth and straightforward.

My child was struggling badly in public school even with an IEP and special education teachers. Between the bullying, teachers not always following the IEP, or not being understanding about my child's learning challenges despite being smart, my kid was depressed, anxious, failing classes, and got to the point of flat-out refusing to go to school. Public school was failing my kid. Fusion has completely changed my kid’s outlook on school. The teachers are understanding, and compassionate, tailor the curriculum for the kid’s learning style, and do all they can to engage them and love learning again. The rest of the staff is also very welcoming and so helpful. My child now looks forward to school and is passing all classes! Something we haven’t seen in years! Wish we would have made the switch sooner and saved a lot of heartache. I’m so happy we found Fusion!

I am very happy to know Stella’s progress. I read your email to my parents during the dinner, and they are so pleased. Grandpa and grandma raised Stella, especially grandpa, who loved Stella as his daughter. My husband said that the most successful thing I did was to send Stella to the Future. I joined this campus as a math/science teacher a year ago. As a teacher with almost 20 years of experience in private and alternative school situations I have been very impressed with the feeling of community and connection here at Fusion. As a teacher I am able to meet the student where they are and move them forward at a pace that is appropriate for them personally. It is the ultimate in personalized education.

Quality education by caring and dedicated teachers who build rapport with each student and individually tailor instruction to maximize each child's strengths as well as help develop emerging skills. Warm and supportive environment where students feel safe, included, and understood but also are challenged to grow in new ways. Highly recommend this school!

We were blessed to have discovered Futures Academy (now Fusion Academy Pasadena - Downtown) for our kiddo during challenging times when they were dealing with bullying from public school and struggling to focus on academics due to depression, anxiety, and gender dysphoria. The admins and teachers at the school are all wonderful, caring, and provided a safe and welcoming place to learn for my child. Class schedules were tailored to support our needs outside of school. They keep my child engaged and wanting to be at the campus. I couldn’t be more pleased and thankful!
