Terrible customer service. I ordered a few knives on August 6th as a wedding gift. My order status was "in process" for 5 weeks. At that point I started sending emails asking what was up with my order. All of my emails were ignored. After a week of being ignored, I contacted my credit card to dispute the charge. A few hours after that, Folded Steel finally contacted me to say that my order would ship "next week." It finally shipped on September 19th and arrived on September 23rd. I cannot speak to the quality of the knives since they were a gift. But ordering from them was a complete nightmare. If I could have given them zero stars I would have.

Worst customer service. We have a set and the chefs knife had a divet on the blade that always traps threads from the drying towel. While customer service agreed that was not acceptable quality, they ignored my many emails asking them if I could send the knife back for professional sharpening. They literally just refused to answer. They say their knives are guaranteed for life yet they dont stand by their lack of quality control.

I have made a few purchases for gifts for family members, and I am so sure they will love everything! I am excited for them to open their gifts, I also had made another purchase on FB and it wasn't showing up, I contacted them right away and they found it, and forwarded the items purchased, they did so speedily. and were very helpful. Thank you so much

This is a passionate organization selling unique and amazing products. You don't interact with a call center or a large organization with people spread out all over the world. This is a small, down-to-earth company selling high-quality and unique products. They are there when you need them and take customer relationships seriously. I highly recommend.

I ordered a beautiful walnut cutting board from them. The first day using it I chopped a head of romaine lettuce on it. After I rinsed it there were huge knife marks all over it. I contacted them and was told that the board was "performing as expected" and would not let me return it for a refund. They told me to use mineral oil and wax on it. I am not using mineral oil every day on this board. My other board I only have to oil it every two weeks and I chop a lot every day. I will never buy anything from them again. What a ripoff!

I picked up the Lotus set hopeful that it would perform how it looks. I was skeptical of the source of the steel for the knives and you tend to get what you pay for. Out of the packaging one of the six knives was actually sharp, disappointing since all of these are supposed to be inspected by hand before they are shipped to a customer. However I was able to put an edge on them and put them through some testing. I immediately noticed that only one of the knives had a smooth finished handle. The rest the wood was rough and there was a slight edge between the wood and the tang. Who's to say how these would perform long-term but I still did not like the feel in my hand. The handles were also thin and lighter in weight to other chef knives. Knives are a very personal choice in cooking and I am not a professional but a home cook. The lack of attention to detail did not inspire confidence in me that these knives could go the distance. I gave it two stars because the customer service was pretty decent and within a week of receiving my return knives granted my refund.

i have purchased the 'lotus' series...5 piece and 1 steak knife set plus an extra carver and paring...plan to purchase the BBQ slicer soon to match the set...a) wondering if there is a filet knife in the future and b) it seems like Ay'll like the old school ways of leather and / or whet stone...I would like to step it up a notch and put an angle to it...is this just me or are the old school ways better for sharpness AND durability...

The knifes look amazing, they’re really sharp and They look like they’ve been put together with meticulous care. Really great product in my opinion.

I have a Damascus fixed blade knife that was stored in a leather sheath for a long period of time during a cross country move. When I finally removed it, it had surface rust. Found this site on IG. Ordered the oil and balm. Found the instructions on how to clean the blade and it was done. Everything looks great now.

We absolutely love our knife set from Folded Steel! I use the knives almost daily. They perform great, and it just feels good to be using such quality tools when my wife and I cook. We also have the magnetic wood stand, and receive quite a few compliments because they are beautiful (we have the Dahlia set). A recommended companion re a knife sharpener - I love the Lansky system. Thank you Folded Steel - we are fans!

They are beautiful and feel good in your hand. I wish they came sharper but that was easily remedied. This was a great addition to my kitchen.

Very well packaged, the knives were even oiled which I thought was an excellent idea. Came with oil and a wipe rag 👍👍 up. The leather pouch seems to be of high quality. The knives look amazing and well balanced, all in all. I'm very VERY IMPRESSED.

i have never had a product better presented for delivery .
it was a please to open up and see the care you put into wrapping .

So far I think they are great. For them to know and understand that the wood box for the steak knives has a flaw and send a free leather wrap replacement is just outstanding customer service. I do quite enjoy the box,it looks great on the counter. But ,most importantly, the knives are very well crafted ,I hope to purchase more in the future.

They arrived well packaged in a timely manner. I have to say they are some serious eye candy! Just gorgeous! I would have given 4.5 stars, but that’s not an option. My only deduction would be for sharpness. While they are certainly sharp enough to use for ordinary kitchen use right out of the box I expected them to be just a bit more sharp. It didn’t take much to get them up to where I thought they ought to be though. Overall I love them!
