Horrible customer service

I rarely ever leave reviews, but after my experience with this moving company, I felt it was necessary to warn others especially military families and anyone trusting a company to handle a major life transition professionally.

Let me start by saying this review is NOT directed toward the movers themselves. The movers worked hard, remained respectful, and did the best they could under poor leadership and terrible management decisions. This complaint is entirely about management, customer service, communication, and overall professionalism from the company itself.

First issue the company showed up with a trailer instead of an actual moving truck. I was completely shocked. Because of this poor planning, not all of my belongings even fit. I was forced to load items onto the back of my own personal truck just to complete the move in one trip. That is absolutely unacceptable for a professional moving company that was fully aware of the inventory beforehand. There is no excuse for showing up unprepared.

The second major issue involved the finance department and their complete lack of professionalism and common sense. While actively driving to the drop-off location, I received a call requesting payment information. I explained clearly that I was on another call with my bank making a transfer specifically to pay the moving bill, and I asked them to simply call me back in 15 minutes because I could not safely provide card information while driving.

Instead of handling the situation professionally, management instructed the movers NOT to begin unloading my belongings until payment was processed. This resulted in us sitting there wasting 15–20 minutes waiting for a callback that should have happened immediately. To make matters worse, I was then charged additional time because of THEIR delay and THEIR poor communication. If the movers had simply been allowed to begin unloading while waiting for the callback, none of this would have happened.

The lack of accountability afterward was even more frustrating. When I attempted to resolve the issue, management avoided communication entirely. Emails were ignored for days at a time, sometimes close to 10 days before receiving a response, and no one was willing to pick up the phone and actually address the problem directly. It felt like once payment was collected, customer service no longer mattered.

This company demonstrated some of the worst management and customer service I have experienced in a long time. Poor planning, terrible communication, lack of professionalism, and zero accountability from leadership. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company to military families or anyone looking for a stress-free move. Moving is already difficult enough a company like this only makes it worse.

Agreed to compensate a very small amount for damage after overcharge on moving. Never compensated me. I'm going to small claims court.

Excelent from the very beginning...

From the very beginning, when joseph fro Flex helped me over the phone, he gave me a phone number to contact him as needed. He was excellent and did help me several times. The two movers Jean and Terry was excellent at their job. Friendly, kind made me fell appricated and listed to I my needs.

Company was on time

Company was on time. Pickup was great and professional. Move in was also great. They put everything where I requested. They were quick and did everything in the time frame. I would recommend them to anyone and if I need anything I will definitely call them

Loved my Movers from Flex Moving and Storage

Great Job

These guys showed up and took care of business. Did a great job, didn't try to up sale unnecessary items. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Iwas completely satisfied. The people they sent out were super friendly and hard working.

I did a local move. Customer service and set up were very professional, helpful, and nice. The movers came on time. They did a great job handling my things. All of my things got to my new place safely. I recommend Flex if you’re looking for movers.

Flex moving sucks. Jerry was great though

Flex moving storage is so disorganized and two of the three movers sucked. Jerry Washington was the only mover who went above and beyond for me. Hes the only reason why im giving a 4 star rating because Flex told me he will get compensation for my review. Otherwise, id give them a 1 star. Definitely wont be using this company ever again

I just moved from Charlotte to Raleigh…

I just moved from Charlotte to Raleigh and Flex did an excellent job. They showed up on time and the movers were very nice and efficient. They didn’t damage any of my items and got everything in my new place much quicker than I anticipated. The price was very fair and there were no hidden fees, and it was even on short notice. I’d 100% use them again since I had such a good experience

Unprofessional moving company

Sadly I have a lot to complain about. The guys were respectful to me I like that however they left many items behind at the house I moved from. They left three cowhide area rugs..size 8'x11" each, refrigerator, freezer, coffee table, flat screen tv, electric hot & cold water dispenser, iron, ironing board, can goods, DVDs and vintage VCR tapes. One of the guys were saying they left it behind because no room on the truck potentially. The other guy said that wasn't true they just forgot to bring them. As they were packing they ran out the few boxes that had so they used all my trash bags and my roommates storage bins without asking him. Once they started unloading I told them they need to lay the rugs down on the floor first before the furniture that's when they told me they forgot the three area rugs at the house so the lead went.back to the house to get the three rigs which slowed down the move for another 40 minutes. He finally came back but with only one rug...so he he went back again with anotherober to get the other two rugs which took another hour of work not being done. At that point I didn't know they didn't bring my fridgerator, freezer, coffee table, flat screen tv, water dispenser, wall sculpture, can goods, DVDs and VHS tapes until the truck was empty...that's when I asked them where are my other items. The guys started arguing with each other blaming each other... A few about to leave and take metro home.
It was awkward to watch.
Side note. I bought them McDonald's for breakfast and pizza for a late lunch.
I like my money back as I have to now hire another moving company to bring the rest of my items here.
I paid Flex for packing and unpacking. They didn't unpack I sent photos of that as well... As well as the receipt for the rug they damaged.
My PS5 system is missing which was with my audio equipment...I got the audio equipment but not the PS5.
I had to hire another moving company to retrieve the rest of my furniture they left behind costing me $730.00.
They offered a resolution settlement via BBB but it was insulting... I rejected it so they closed the claim. I'm going to sue them and filed a complaint with FTC.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...SCAMMERS. I'm disabled which made things more stressful.

Update: I reluctantly accepted their offer 5 days again but they never responded back to me which shouldn't surprise me coming from a unprofessional company. My current health issues convinced me to go ahead accept their offer to get this issue behind me so can focus on my recovery. I guess I'm left with no choice but to go ahead and sue them. Sigh.

Flex Moving & Storage did a great job moving a large toolbox for us. It was short notice but they were able to schedule the move within a few days at a very reasonable price, even giving us a discount because we weren't moving it very far . Thomas contacted us the morning of the move to confirm the pickup and dropoff points and they were able to arrive earlier than scheduled. Thomas and his team worked quickly and carefully to secure and transport the box. Also Alex was very helpful (and patient) answering all my questions. Highly recommend this company!

It took numerous calls and emails to…

It took numerous calls and emails to get a correct itemized bill of lading (legally binding contract and receipt that shows services and costs - protects you from getting stuck with extra charges!)
Then only 2 of the 3 man crew showed up on move day, and one of them, it was their first day on the job. The guy in charge spoke extremely broken to no English. After numerous calls, and me letting the supervisors and billing, no way I'm paying full price when the services are not being provided. Eventually 3 other guys showed up to help pack, because the packing was taking so long with just 2 people working . Finally, the get the trailer (yes, I said trailer) loaded. Things I said to not load, got loaded, while other items were left at the old place!!! And at some point during the day, 3 of the workers left; the new guy and 2 of the guys who were sent by the company. So I'm back to only 2 guys to unload all my stuff. Some female worker showed up (apparently the 3rd to help unload)... It took the "team leader" 45 minutes to travel 4.1 miles...and I'm being charged by the hour. So he finally shows up with my stuff, and eventually gets the trailer backed into my driveway, and then they sit. Didn't start unloading the truck . They don't start unloading until billing contacts you to tell you the final costs and you pay. Nowhere in the bill of lading did it state payment is to be paid in full BEFORE unloading . One of the supervisors had reduced my final cost SOME. I DEFINITELY DID NOT GET $1150 WORTH OF SERVICE. The contents in the boxes were a hot mess, things from different rooms in the house going into the same box. The 3rd person sent to help unload my stuff, the female, sat in her truck the whole time the 2 guys unloaded everything. Why was she even there in the first place then?? My patio table is still sitting in my garage and not on the patio. I have to haul my lawnmower back to my old house to mow the lawn. Most of my furniture has dirty marks from hands and the trailer. I had to put my bed back together. They pretty much just put stuff down in my new house unless I was standing right there and told them to take items to specific rooms. Only about half of the boxes were labeled with what room the contents came from . I found cigarette butts lying around at both houses. I don't smoke.

It was a cluster F*** day from the beginning -when the new guy showed up at my house at 7am!! It was the worst move I have ever endured, especially for the cost I ended up paying .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Communication is ridiculous. They tell you one thing, but reality is totally different. Truly a nightmare. And they are not that cheap to begin with . Go with a quality moving company.. not this "company"
